Notes: The Shaped Dual EnvVCA is a two-channel analogue envelope generator with waveshapers and a stereo linear VCA. Four CV or audio inputs can be routed in any amount/combination to four outputs, using the 16 CV control jacks, Level knobs, and Mute buttons.

Notes: The ADE-50 provides 3 all-analogue voltage controlled amplifiers based on a modern operational transconductance amplifier design.

The VCA's are designed to provide a good balance between the performance and specification of modern 'on-chip' VCA's and the character and musicality of classic analogue designs.

The OTA core of each VCA is fully discrete - it is built from only resistors, capacitors and transistors - however, the CV conditioning, audio input and output stages are built using high-quality op-amps giving the best balance between musicality, character and performance.

The ADE-50 provides a good signal-to-noise ratio, linearity, attenuation, an output level at unity gain at 5V CV input, minimal CV 'bleed' and minimal output offset/bias.

Notes: Audiophile Circuits League serve up the premium goodies with this hybrid quad VCA/mixer. Four high-quality exponential VCAs with built-in summing and individual outs.

The ACL VC AMP MIX is a high quality quad exponential VCA with three summed outputs.

The module allows to create a mix of up to four audio sources to three different sums. Available outputs are the sum of channel 1+3, the sum of channel 2+4 and sum of all channels 1+2+3+4. Of course all 4 individual VCA outputs are available as well. It includes an aux input, which will be added unity gain to the sum of all outputs 1+2+3+4 for cascading purposes.

The module can be combined with ACL- RCVS-4 and/or ACL- FCVS-4 CV Source to form a 4 channel voltage controlled mixer very conveniently.

Following the ADDAC103 T-Networks, this new module is inspired by it's simplicity. This is a 4 voice Square Oscillator with VCA, FM switch and a slew decay for the incoming Trigger IN. All voices are then sent through a Multimode Filter.

Each voice has it's own VCA input where any input is accepted (Trigger, Gate, CV) The [DECAY] controls the slew decay applied to the incoming signal, if [DECAY] is fully anti-clockwise then it works as a Mute. The [FM ON] switches activate/deactivate the FM input coming from the previous voice: Voice 1 FM comes from voice 4, voice 2 FM comes from voice 1, and so on, so you can FM all of them in a FM loop.

All 4 voices are summed and sent through a filter with controls over [CUTOFF] with an Attenuverter for the CV input and [RESO- NANCE]. Three filter outputs are provided [LOWPASS], [BANDPASS] and [HIGHPASS]

The [EXTERNAL IN] input can be routed through a jumper on the back of the module allowing the incoming signal to go to:
the filter input for processing an external audio source.
all of the 4 voices Frequency control allowing for some experi- mental CV control over pitch of all 4 voices at the same time (due to the specificities of the circuit and to keep the module at a low price these inputs are not callibrated to 1v/octave).

Notes: Eight independent fixed-frequency filter bands combine with linear VCAs to create massive sonic potential. VCAs also double as envelope followers, with a CV output per band.

With its 8 fixed frequencies, this very special filterbank has two additional features that you won't find anywhere else. Mixer section

Each channel has the following:

Stereo or mono - Each channel can be treated as a stereo channel or a mono channel with two summed inputs.

CV inputs for both panning and level control

Two send buses - You can route each channel to one of two send buses. Each send bus is stereo. You can choose if you want the send to come before or after the level/panning controls.

Mute - The mute has both latching mute (up) and a momentary mute (down). The mute uses a capacitor to slow the turn off and on of the mute action. So it is mostly click-less, but you may find an occasional pop.

Cue bus - You can route each channel to the cue bus.

Expandable Mixer Series

Bartenders can be cascaded to create 8ch, 12ch, or 16ch mixer. The main level is what is sent the main level control can act as a group control.

Barbacks can be added to add 2ch to your mix. Barbacks can also be cascaded enabling up to a 16ch mixer configuration.

Send-VCA can be added for CV control of the level of the send.

DVCA, Cast Iron, Mingles, and USB-2CH can all be connected with Dupont cables (aka female to female breadboard cables) via pin headers on the back of the modules. Connecting the in and out pins will send/receive the audio into the next module.

Blend has two CV sections each with:

The min and max sections do not attempt to be precision min/max measurements. They will be within two diode drops of the actual min or max voltage.

VCA Sections:

There are two VCA sections that are also have a mix output. The CV input for each VCA is normalled to the output of a CV section. The VCA circuits are LM13700 based so they will slightly color the sound. The response curve is nearly linear but offers a slight exponential curve.

Notes: DVCA

DVCA is a dual VCA based on the Mutable Instruments Veils. It features two separate voltage-controlled amplifiers, both with a gain and a response curve potentiometer, that is variable from linear to exponential. The outputs are normalized, so when no patch cable is present on output 1, output 2 will contain both signals, allowing the module to be used as a mixer. Several DVCAs can be daisy-chained for voltage-controlled mixer operation. It comes with jack lights that can be disabled via a jumper on the back.

These modules use tall bushing potentiometers to offer a more stable feel.

The module is fully assembled and tested. Eurorack power cable included.

Notes: A clever hybrid of quad VCA, function generator and more in this chunky module. Four channels of oscillators, envelope generators and VCAs, plus slew, voltage sources and plenty of CV control.

Four channels of function generator, oscillator, slew limiter, envelope, and VCAs. This module brings the ultimate in flexibility as it can be used as a standalone synth voice, a massive amount of modulation, or a four channel envelope generator w/ mixer. We believe this makes QARV a great first module and a great addition to the largest of systems.

This has two LFOs, each with variable waveshape from Saw to Triangle to Ramp waveforms, or variable Pulse width on the Square wave output. LFO 1 has the addition of a low range and a Sync input. The nominal maximum frequency of the LFOs when in Triangle shape is 20Hz, but under certain combinations of settings they will go much higher, well into audio range.

Also included is a DC coupled VCA, the input of the VCA is normalised to the output of LFO 2, so a 0 to +5V input to the VCA CV input gives control of the LFO waveform amplitude. It can also be used as a stand alone VCA.

This module is very useful for controllers such as the Waldorf KB37 where the modulation wheel gives out 0 to +5V, this can be routed to the VCA CV module so the level of the modulation waveform can be easily controlled. This makes it very easy to add VCO vibrato or filter 'wah' with control of modulation amount from the modulation wheel or other controller.

Notes: This useful module is a Bipolar Mixer, DC voltage source and Linear DC coupled VCA.

- With no input to channel 1 the Input 1 pot becomes a voltage source with a range of +/- 6V.
- The control pot and input for channel 4 can be switched to become an offset control and/or a second CV input for the VCA.
- Input 3 has 2x gain, so it can amplify lower level CV's too.
- All inputs are bipolar, which means that either non-inverted or inverted version of the input signal can be added to the mix depending upon the Input control being turned clockwise (non-inverting) or anti-clockwise (inverted). The 12'o'clock position is zero.

The mixer section has five input channels, and each channel includes a bi-colour tactile LED switch that can instantly mute or un-mute the channel, replicating the oscillator on/off switches on the original Model D synthesiser. This arrangement is more convenient than regular switches as each illuminated switch shows the on/off status of the associated channel and multiple buttons can be pressed at once, making it very useful for live performance.

AJH have also included a four segment LED level meter so that the overall level can be seen at a glance and adjusted to prevent the output from getting too "hot" and causing distortion in other modules further downstream.

Notes: The 'MEGA-TANG' is a 4-channel linear VCA and stereo mixer providing per input control over level, effect send, pan and muting. Designed for live use in mind with a simple & compact layout, the 'MEGA-TANG' builds on the clean and transparent sounding Tangle Quartet VCA by adding a stereo mix output, effect sends (mono send with a stereo return) which pair great with the MFX, manual panning, soft mute buttons with LED indicators and an expansion port for future expandability.

Individual VCA outputs are available which remove the channel from the main mix (useful for cueing and monitoring). All signals are Euro level and bar the effects return, DC coupled for CV use as well as audio.

Notes: 'MUM M8' is an 8hp Eurorack low pass filter building on the filter design used in the classic Akai S950 12 bit sampler with the addition of resonance, voltage control, clipped saturation and a dedicated VCA.

The low pass filter gives the recognisable super smooth vacuum like tone sucking sound which works magic on complex sources. The addition of clipped overdrive and intentionally aggressive self-oscillating resonance compliment the smooth filter core by juxtaposing it into more wasp like territory with acidic squeals and a more gritty sound.
Mum M8 features dual voltage control with attenuation (and inversion) of filter cut off and voltage control of resonance together with dual audio inputs - one of which includes a VCA to with the capability to aid overdriving signals into the filter core.

The filter core is a 6th Order Butterworth switched capacitor type design featuring an analog core but controlled by a high speed digital clock. This produces the characteristic smooth sounding filter but, as with the original S950, has a relatively high minimum cut off as to avoid 'clock bleed' into the filter output from the digital control. This minimum cut of point (and introduction of bleed if required) can be controlled via trimmers on the rear of the module (see calibration chapter). It is not unusual for there still to be some low-level artefacts from the clock present, particularly during filter sweeps - these add to the filters character.

The motivation for the module came from discussing filters in classic samplers with the artist Jack Adams - aka Mumdance. Jack suggested investigating the S950's filter well known as for it use in classic use in early jungle and hardcore. From that point onward Jack provided inspiration, help and feedback in the development of the filter. Big up Mumdance.

Notes: 'Tangle Quartet' is a high quality quad linear voltage controlled amplifier (VCA) providing individual level control of 4 signal inputs with both individual outputs and a combined 'mix' output (for non patched outputs) . Control signal inputs and associated attenuation controls allow for voltage control of signal levels. Control inputs are normalised to 5v thus providing manual mix control in the absence of control signals.

Zzzorb's filter core comprises a cascade of four VCA-based integrators with a feedback path for resonance control. The integrators are mixed together in different combinations to provide five simultaneous filter outputs:

- Highpass
- Bandpass
- Notch
- Two-pole lowpass
- Four-pole lowpass

Zzzorb's built-in VCA is a handy way to apply a volume envelope or tremolo to your filtered signal. You can even use it as a feedback or self-modulation control by passing one of the filter outputs through it!

Zzzorb provides CV inputs and attenuverters for controlling the VCA level, filter resonance, and filter frequency. Additionally, it has a filter pitch CV input with a unipolar attenuator. When the attenuator is turned fully clockwise, the filter frequency tracks the pitch CV input at one volt per octave.

The output of Zzzorb's VCA is normally added to its filter input, providing a quick way to manually or electrically control your signal's level. You can break that connection and detach the VCA from the filter by connecting a patch cable to the VCA output.

The VCA's CV input is normally connected to the filter's frequency CV input so you can easily modulate the filter cutoff and the VCA level with the same signal. You can break that connection by connecting a patch cable to the VCA CV input.

The RS-380N is a composite module comprising four separate ‘sub-modules’ that you can patch together or with other RS Integrator modules to generate and control a wide range of effects.

It is designed for use when space is at a premium, and combines a flexible Voltage Controlled Low Frequency Oscillator (VC-LFO) with a noise generator, a Voltage Controlled Amplifier (VCA) and a random signal (sample & hold) generator.

Voltage controlled LFO with two selectable frequency ranges: LOW goes from 0.3Hz to 6Hz and HIGH from 5Hz to 1.500Hz; using control voltages you can reach lower and higher frequencies, though. The CV input is not compliant to the 1V/octave characteristic. Two waveforms are available: square and triangle.

Analog noise generator that produces white noise.

Sample & Hold: due to normalized sockets you can use this sub-module without patching as the LFO´s square wave and the white noise are pre-patched. Alternatively you can insert other signals than the internal white noise through the Source In socket.

VCA: classic VCA with one signal input, two signal outputs and one CV input.

Thanks to clever routing, a wide variety of sounds can be created. The two channels can be connected in parallel or in series (Parallel / Series). In series connection, the output of channel 1 is still active, good for parallel signals (note: each channel output is phase-inverted in relation to the opposite input). This way, feedback can be generated by feeding back the signal from output 1 to e.g. a control voltage input.

The screen control voltage input determines the gain and the sound characteristics. Additionally, the input is normalized to INPUT 1 of the respective channel.

The Suppress control voltage input is normalized to the input signal if nothing is connected. The purpose of this input is to direct electrons reflected from the anode back to the anode. Turning the knob to the positive does not change as much, turning it to the negative slightly attenuates overtones. With a positive control voltage the change is minimal, but with a negative control voltage you can realize e.g. ducking effects and effectively switch off the tube. Audio Rate Modulation is also possible here and a bit milder than with the Screen CV, but still effective.

The evocation potentiometer controls the feedback of the second output into the first channel. The sonic performance is very much dependent on the Plate Bias switch. The Plate Bias switch effectively controls the headroom. This allows you to use the tubes in three different settings, from fuzz sound to full distortion.

Notes: Vivisect is a compact module designed to attenuate, invert and sum four signals to two outputs. Each input has its own output, and all channels are DC coupled.

An additional circuit gives you a separate offset between +/-5V from a precision DC reference. This offset can be switched in and out of the mix as required using the offset pushbutton. The mix output has a second output that is an inverted copy of itself. All outputs are independently operable.

Last but not least, the module offers white noise with approx. 10V on a separate output.

As an added bonus, jumpers on the back of the module allow you to normalize Input 1 to any or all of the other three inputs. Using this, you can self-patch the module to create e.g. 4 channels of noise or offset.

Notes: Lowpass VCF & VCA

The heart and soul of all synthesizers is the filter. And the most important one is the low-pass filter. And the Lowpass VCF & VCA is a modern, linear, 100% analogue filter. It works perfectly in any circumstances, and reacts "musically" within the most extreme set-ups as well.

It's very important to make the filter capable of receiving multiple audio signals, since the creation of a timbre often requires a few oscillators, noise generators, external sources perhaps. For this reason, AS built into the module a three channel mixer, and you can find here the post-filter VCA as well.

All the same applies on the reception of the CV signs. Besides the V/OCT input, there are two more adjustable CV inputs for the frequency modulation, and separate input for controlling the resonance, and one for the VCA level.

The filter reacts "musically". For example: if you turn up the resonance knob, you'll hear a soft sinus resonance. The sound won't fall apart, the filter won't start to "scream". Besides of all, a Resonance Boost circuit was built into the filter, which makes sure that lifting the resonance won't let fade the range of deeper frequency.

And guess what! You can overload the filter! Give it a try, you'll hear a very pleasant drive effect. This effect is based on the attribute of the filter's own circuit, not by a built-in distortion.

For the sake of comfortable application, the input of the Freq CV2 can be assigned to the VCA CV input by using its own switch. In this case the same generator is capable of modulating the frequency of the filter, and the amplitude of the VCA as well.

All through the project of developing this module, created all those circuits one by one, which are an absolute necessity to create a sound. The purpose was to fit them all into one module. That's how this composite and compact module was born, and got named MODULATION TOOLS.

All the parts of this module have their own in- and output, but it also has several internal connections as well. These connections can be disconnected too, you just have to plug a cable into an input. So all the parts of this module are capable of working altogether or separately as well.

How is this possible? Let's see!

The NOISE GENERATOR output connects to the SAMPLE & HOLD input. The SAMPLE & HOLD output connects into the GLIDE. The SYNC LFO triggers the SAMPLE & HOLD, so we get a synchable random generator.

Using a switch you can select the waveform you wish to have on the input of the VCA & INVERTER. In addition, the VCA & INVERTER has its own level control potentiometer, own CV input, also has normal and inverse output as well.

The SYNC LFO is capable of working in two different modes. Using the NORMAL mode the frequency can be controlled by the RATE potentiometer between 0,05Hz and 50Hz. In MATH mode the Rate potentiometer works as a divider, so the incoming sync pulse, or TAP can be divided or multiplied too. x1,5; x2; x3; x4; /1,5; /2; /3; /4

Besides all of these features, the SYNC LFO has SYNC, RESET and CV inputs too, also has individual SQUARE and TRIANGLE outputs. You can adjust the CV input level, and select if you want it to affect either the RATE or the SHAPE. Using the SHAPE potentiometer, you can set the pulse width of the square wave, also the triangle wave can be adjusted either to saw and ramp form as well.

With the CV input selected on RATE in MATH mode, you can switch between the DIVIDER settings from the keyboard of your synthesizer or sequencer. It gives you the possibility of changing or modifying the beats of the LFO, to the rhythm of your music. This gives you very exciting possibilities to compose rhythmic modulation.

Notes: Each of the two sections of the module is capable of performing the analog multiplication of two signals (A and B) and add an offset (C). It can also act as a dual voltage controlled attenuverter, dual ring modulator, dual VCA or four channel mixer (see block diagram below).

The B inputs are routed to an attenuverter that multiplies the signal between -2 to 2, while the offset inputs (C) route through a unity gain attenuverter (multiplies the signal between -1 and 1).

The output of first section is routed to the output of the second (when the first's output is unused), so the second output can act as master to achieve (A1*B1+C1) + (A2*B2+C2) or (A1 + C1) + (A2 + C2) - a 4 channel mixer.

The through-zero (four-quadrant) multipliers in the A*B+C allow for true Ring Modulation. To achieve this, simply connect two waveforms to the A and B inputs.

Notes: Crush Delay v3 is a special Echo-Delay unit based on the PT2399 IC, which is able to offer 400ms of clean delay and up to 2 seconds of dirty repetitions, having a special talent to generate noisy-glitch textures. The module bases its operation on controlling the PT2399 chip with circuit bending techniques, converting the unit in an advanced VC digital trash generator. This third version comes with some interesting new features like redesigned VCAs circuits, wider range for clean delay and reduced depth to make it skiff friendly.

The module features a few VCAs to provide a flexible signal route to maximize module's possibilities. First two VCAs at the inputs to control the amount of signal sent to the delay. The first is routed to both the dry/wet mix and the delay, and the second directly to the delay. Combining the second VCA and the FX Send output allows external feedback routings.

Compared with v2, this third version offers a bigger range of clean delay time as well as a revision of some of the Crush modifiers. Combining those modifiers you will have a access to a vast palette of noises and textures that can be used in many different ways. From ambient/drone patches to even percussion sounds.

The VC Feedback features an automatic gain control to keep levels stable at any feedback level.
