Review: Martin Muller originally dropped PPPPP as a 12" on Rhythm Cult back in 2016, as youANDme was hitting a level of omnipresence in the tech house sphere. The track was always destined to be a hit, making great use of an iconic Loletta Holloway sample and strapping it to a more modern kind of club cut. Now that record is being revisited with this remix package, featuring one of the original 'Diva' mixes backed up by versions from certified legends Ian Pooley, Cinthie and Yotam Avni. With these kinds of ingredients, each version is a surefire crowdpleaser which ever particular slant you're craving, with enough production heft to move a big room as much as a basement club.

Review: The second instalment of Clayton's retrospective series, this double vinyl is a remastering of unreleased and hidden gems from the American programmer-cum-producer. Featuring staples in the San Franciscan's discography such as 'Box Selection' and 'W-Shape', which sees an exclusive remix in 'W-Shape revisited'. The result is a futuristic techno-house marvel, with it's minimal (occasionally ambient) tone, the composition is analytical in its construction. Each beat feels perfectly placed as dictated by a formula, a chemical blend of glitch, techno, and ambient house. This record is a must for fans of the 90s techno scene, especially in Detroit where you can hear the influences that those artists had on these tracks.

Review: The Spanish Hypnotic Collective label attempts to capture its take on the Detroit Legacy with what looks like a new series of various artists' EP. There is plenty of Motor City soul in the gorgeous synths of Cignol's muted acid and deep house opener 'Distance' which is a soothing and reverential groove, but then its pure party from Barce, Alex Martin offers up 313 style tech and three further tunes on the flip explore blistering electro with high-speed funk and cosmic intent. Review: The decorated Spanish producer and DJ Henry Saiz, who operates under the novel character moniker Hal Incandenza, has been in the scene for 15 years now. He comes to us this time with an EP under MM Discos, a 12" stringing together deep house, nu-disco and techno sensibilities mixed with classic vocal samples. The patchwork of genres is a floor filler, the sub bass sure to get heads rocking on 'Ceremony', the classic house references on 'Incivitas' being too perfect not to groove to. For something more retro futuristic and techno-house, Marvin & Guy punch in another fantastic remix for this record, giving their interpretation of 'Incivitas' a far more theatrical sound, less danceable and more thoughtful.

Review: Rupert Hartick made quite an impression with his debut release on Pleasure Zone in 2022, and the eagle-eared out there might have copped his drop on Konfus last year. Now he's graduated to the unstoppable Rawax with a four-tracker of sophisticated tech house for the discerning dancer. 'Sweet Dreams' has a meandering, hallucinatory quality helped no end by the amorphous synth tones shimmering over the top of the slinky, shuffling beat. 'Wiggle System' is an entirely different proposition marked out by snaking electro with a mellow demeanour. 'Smokin Kims' is also electro in its construction, but there's a very different flavour to the synths, which warp and writhe through some exquisite sound design. 'Leftback' maintains the thoughtful, original approach Hartick takes across the release, all while offering a different slant to his productions focused more on brittle percussion and FX tweaking.

If Inferno was a glittery bodysuit, Anorax is like blast-protective PPE. Here Rushton welcomes Mark Archer and Chris Peat aka Nexus 21 back to the fold. Emissaries of the Salford dance music circuit, Nexus 21 have always harked a frontier-scouring, centennial vibe in sound. Their latest release is reissued from 2008, though the Network Records original only cut it to B-side: 'Self-Hypnosis' is a semiconscious auto-state in sound, bringing jam-born orchestra-stabs and sprung synth toms to a strange brew. Review: Parchi Pubblici is an Italian hardware specialist who usually makes music by doing one-take recordings. This is his debut vinyl EP and it features four original tracks with the first three designed as peak-time club anthems, all powered by roaring analogue machines. These tracks are built to make dancefloors sweat and they surely will. The title, 'Pressed Trouble', perfectly encapsulates the EP's energy. Review: Attention banger alert! Parissior is a Spanish DJ producer who has been producing countless tracks for many years now. His style could be described as a mix of dark disco, indie dance, Italo, and trance, but personally we think it goes much further. He has a total mastery of the art of production (something we have rarely seen); it seems more like sound design it sounds so huge. He's managed the perfect EP - one that all the Italian indie dance producers, one that even the biggest names in the genre have thus far failed to create. There's nothing cheesy about it; we've been listening to his music non-stop since we received it, with no weariness in sight. This guy is monstrous. The 12" begins with the brilliant 'Antennae', which is the perfect mix of Italo new wave & trance, followed by 'Canes Venatici', which could've been created by Daft Punk if they'd chosen to be less commercial. and put their balls on the table instead of hiding behind masks. 'Ceres' and 'Alpha Apodis' follow the same line. This maxi is gigantic - a f%c$ing masterpiece.

This time once again it is the artist's own Dote label that serves up these four cuts - only the label's 5th EP in some four years. 'Sapphire Tomb' pulls off that fine Junes trick of being both dreamy and deep yet dynamic. It's got smooth chords and tight drum programming that takes you to the stars where you then get worked over by the acid undulations and glistening tech of 'Head-Free Dose'. 'Heritage AD' veers towards supple, mind-melting Jeff Mills-style deep techno and 'Rounded' then ends on a prickly acid jacker. Versatile and vital.
