Mike Clark & Marcus Harris get things underway with 'Hey' which has a subtly uplifting feel thanks to the bright, sustained chords and cuddly drums. Santonio Echols's 'Piano In The Light' (DJ Emanuell Echols mix) is laidback, playful deep house with magical chord work and Brian Kage brings his classy depths to the smooth grooves of 'This Saturday Night.' Ryan Sadorus brings things to a close with the smoky 'Down Below.'

Review: Class Compliance's brand of deep house is one embellished with plenty of details and synthetic sounds that sit nicely with the more cuddly depths of the drums. On this new 'Plug & Play' EP for Space Repetitions that is the case once more. The opening title cut is one that rides on smooth drums but has metal textures and sine synths detailing the grooves. 'Dreams' is more zoned out - the pads are soft focus and the drums are super soft around the edges, then 'Mosquito' has a more distorted and lo-fi edge with crunchy percussion and busted kicks.

Review: Steve Cobby is surely one of Hull's finest musical exports. The musician and producer has mastered many different sounds across the downtempo and electronic spectrum and here he dips his toe into deep house with a new limited 12" on Declasse. 'Hot 4 U' opens up with a gorgeous vocal sample and plenty of reverb on it so it pings around the mix over dubby drums. 'Santa Eularia' is a more jazzy and percussive, stylish sound with a smooth cruising groove for sundown or sun-up magic.

Review: Pierre Codarin is back on the delicious sounding Spaghetti Club with a much anticipated new EP, High Times. Evolving his sound since his last outing, here the UK producer crafts a cosmic four-track record that explores diverse territories with refined house textures. The A-side kicks off with the punchy 'Herbies Chanz' featuring an elastic groove and squelchy acid beeps. On the flip side, 'Viennese Whirl' serves up funky vibes for the dancefloor and the title track, 'High Times,' radiates feel-good energy with shining chords and driving beats. Closing with 'Ruff Rumble,' this is the sort of EP that switches the dance floor up through the gears.

Review: New US label Soft Spoken Secret does a fine job of asserting itself from the off with this tasteful drop from Adam Collins. His 'Coming Together' is a busy minimal tech sound with plenty of things to keep your attention beyond the bubbly groove. Deft pads and airy hi-hats, rising bass sequences and hints of acid make it a real gem. Then comes a 100hz DC10 remix with wonky low ends and more stripped back designs for late night sessions. Finally, the 100hz Concorde remix brings more widescreen synths and patient tension building.

Review: Pretty much does what it says on the tin, this one. Classic Tyree Cooper productions in all their glory, plus some remixes of them from fellow US greats. Cooper was, of course, an early pioneer of what was known as hip-house - a raw mix of hip-hop and house that was short-lived, probably because the man himself perfected it and few could ever do much more with the blueprint. 'Hardcore Hip House (Tony Humphries mix re-edit)' is dusty, raw, piano-laced house excellence, 'Acid Over (Mike Dunn edit)' is a more frenzied 303 workout and 'I Fear The Night (feat Chic - vocal mix)' is a jack track for dark and strobe lit floors. 'Video Crash' shuts down with a coarse and textural collision of drums, synths and crashing hits.

Review: The Mysticisms label welcomes Coral D aka Duncan Stump for a debut outing here that marks the first new music to be part of the ongoing and most excellent Dubplate series. This artist has a long history of crafting "deep dub electronic swing" in his roles in Mock & Toof, FX Mchm and his 6000 Degrees project. This one finds him bringing some dub reggae influences as 'Dissolves' is built on a chugging rhythm with smeared chords. 'DR 55' is then a masterfully laidback digi-dub groove that warps space and time and so leaves you utterly hypnotised.

Review: Burnski's high-quality Constant Black is back with more essential club-ready sounds. Donnie Cosmo and Pascal Benjamin step up for one side of action each. Cosmo's 'Holo Glitch' is first and pairs balmy synth work that is colourful and silky with some punchy tech drums and rolling bass that pulls you in deep. 'Echo Drift' is another lithe and lively one to get you on your toes while the groove flows and 'Airplane Mode' is another stylish mix of lush synth design and great rhythm. Benjamin's trio on the flip is a little more gritty with industrial-space-tech many the most fitting way to describe these curious cosmic cuts.

Review: Notorious internet motormouth Thomas Cox dropped the first EP on his own new QED label back in 2020, but only now is the vinyl arriving with us. It was worth the wait, however, because as much as it would be fun to find the sort of faults in his music that he does in everyone else's, these are three raw as you like tracks that go direct to the soul. Detroit influences of course loom large throughout, with each cut layering up dirt and grime, dusty drums and rusty synths to hypnotic effect. The standout might be the unresolved loops and cosmic-gaze of 'Starry Ave,' but any of these will make an impact on the right dance floor.

Review: REPRESS ALERT!: Drop Music marks a marvellous quarter of a century of releases with this new slab of vinyl featuring some gems from disco funksters Crazy P and the house mainstays Inland Knights. Crazy P go first with 'Disc Odyssey' which is perfectly indicative of their much beloved sound with its low slung kicks and funky bassline. Inland Knights then offer a trio of in demand & unreleased tracks. 'Overnight' is a bumming deep house joint, 'Walk On' has an icy late night vibe and balmy pads and 'Do It Again is a more playful closer, with some killer b-line action. All four, needless to say, are timeless gems, and the fact the last two are appearing on vinyl first the first time makes it an even more desirable cop.

This one features all newcomers starting with Cromie's 'Timereite', a chubby and clubby tech pumper with full throttle rhythms. Wilba's 'New Recipes' has lush synth smears over grinding low ends that echo early West Coast tech, and Darren Roach then gets a little deeper on the percolating 'Brettski Colectski'. Lazer Man's 'Time Of Ghosts' closes down with a mid-tempo, off-kilter house cut with steely drums and distant alien activity.

Review: D'Julz is one of those producers who you can always rely on to do the business. His sounds are made for DJs and dancers - they establish a raw groove then keep you locked without any fads or cheap drops. This latest outing on Chiwax is another gem from the Frenchman with the stripped-back and lo-fi chunky of 'Murky' kicking off before 'Ruff' brings scuffed-up and well-swung drums. 'Jackie' is an old-school sound that nods in the direction of original Chicago house and 'Raw' keeps it deep and tight with a moody bassline and plenty of eerie melodic touches.

Review: Dan Piu is a master of minimal sounds whether leaning more towards house or techno. For this latest one on Birds out of Chile, he opens up with some nice balmy pads and hip-swinging claps under tiny 80s keyboards. It's whimsical and dreamy then 'Late Night Beef' picks up things a little with some more driven drums but plenty of celestial synths and 'Ganas De Verte (feat Natalia)' is another balmy and spaced-out minimal house sound for hi-fidelity systems. 'Kammgarn' shuts down with the most direct sound of the lot and some nice dub undercurrents.

Review: Shall Not Fade has proven over the last five plus years that whatever sounds it turns its hand to it does with style. Mostly that is deep house and garage but here we have some warehouse-ready techno from Dasco. 'Powerful Woman' has mid-tempo drums that are run through with a supple and subtle acid line and repeated vocal phrasings that lock you into the trip. 'Acid Queen' jacks a bit more, with raw analogue drums and vintage cow bell sounds before the 303 takes over, then Johannes Volk really bangs the box with his hardcore house remix, full of splintered kicks and dusty hi hats. Chicago Skyway brings plenty of Windy City texture to his version.

Review: Dashiell has been road testing these two tunes in his sets for a while, and they have always done a job. They finally arrive on wax courtesy of Foul Play and are sure to get dropped all over the place this summer. 'dfuse all the tension' is the right mix of driving tech but wonky minimal. The bassline is drunk and all over the place while the lead synth has a retro video game feel, and some crisp melodies and refracted vocals finish it well. On the flip, 'da nastiest' is faster and more direct with some turbocharged and bass-driven tech house characterised by another sleazy vocal and phased synth lines that bring a playful twist.

Review: DATA17 is back with more of that irresistible hand-stamped white label minimal and tech house goodness. 'Pour Toi' kick off this particular party with high speed tech funk loops and crashing hits that demand you dance while wonky synth lines unfold up top. The clipped and kinetic funk continues on 'C La Vie' which has distant playground found sounds and balmy pads and 'Sous Influence' that slips down into superbly icy and economical minimal grooves, with nagging leads hooking you in as the militant drums march below. It's an eerie and futuristic sounds completed with some spoken words from Blade Runner.

Stilleben label head Luke Eargoggle says that three generations of Scandinavian electro sounds feature on the six track record. It comes from producers based only in Gothenburg which is the capital of electro in Sweden as well as being the capital of the Vastra Gotaland county. From the high energy and hard-hitting electro-funk of Dataintrang's opener to Guttan's more cinematic but no less caustic 'Bambakaos', all shades are explored here with compelling results.

These are sizzling tech house and minimal tracks that got right to the heart of the strobe-lit action. Review: REPRESS ALERT!: In case you didn't know, Reliance is yet another label from man like Burnski, the UK powerhouse who is almost single-handedly spearheading a sound that fuses garage, house and tech into something irresistible for the club. He invites Job de Jong to step up for the label's second outing and 'Dub House' is a great opener with just the right amount of bounce, melody and heart. Kepler remixes it into a percussive stomper with siren stabs and dusty perc. 'Emergency' is a trippy melodic workout that bends space and time and 'Don't Wanna Stop, Dub Stop' chucks a killer vocal into the mix over sleazy drums and garage drums that are always going to get big reactions.

Review: Monday Morning is back to roll out some more lush house depths with a second EP, this one featuring founder Manuel De Lorenzi in the company of his pals Giacomo Silvestri, Freddie Wall and Fichs. 'Sun-Rise' is a nice gritty but vibey opener with percussive skip and dry hits. Fichs's solo cut is a loopy workout with nice bulbous synths and a pared-back rhythm that gets ever more inescapable while De Lorenzi then offers up the radiant synth warmth and dubby undercurrents of minimal house shuffler 'You Already Know It.' With Giacomo Silvestri he then closes on the more percussive loops of soft house soother 'The Big Apple Community.'

Review: New label Outside In Spain takes an old school approach here by serving up a white label 12" adorned with a lo-fi black and white sticker that looks like some long lost classic you'd find on a dig in a record store's back room. Musically it doesn't disappoint either as Deiv kicks up some funky electro-tech energy on 'Secrets & Lies' and 'We Hope!' then gets more technoid with lashings of acid and brain-frying synths. There is a more stripped-back sense of minimal cool to the bumpy beats of 'September' then it's psyched-out deep space trippiness on the closer 'Warning.'

Review: Minimal heads will be chuffed to see that the third volume of the Dis Chronicles series has now arrived on Repeat. It is another stylish collection of Grant Dell beats starting with a cut as Chicago Transit Authority. 'Emotive' is a perfect blend of jazzy keys and skipping garage drums with deep house vibes and swirling pads to add extra heat. On the flipside, Dell links with Jay Tripwire for 'Cosmic Kebab' which leans more into tech house territory but as the title suggests has nice starry synth work and to close out, Dell goes it alone on 'Rhythmic Science' which looks you into his precise beat work and diffuse late night chords.

Review: Komplices' second release comes from Italian artist Deyayu, who crafts a full-fat minimal EP that comes after a number of notable outings on the likes of Jooice. This one opens with 'Complicated Sound,' a track that channels 90s acid house through psychedelic vocal loops while the second track, 'I Was, I Am,' delves into the deeper influences of the 2000s. On the flip side, 'Planet Synth' offers some psyched-out 90s referencing sounds with crispy drum programming and warped vocals. Review: Presenting "Anticlockwise", on Cadenza, the debut album from Digitaline (aka the Swiss duo of Gregorythme and Laps). Spontaneity and flux are key. Bright harmonics shower everything in sparks and tiny plaintive sounds plunge like diving birds. Drum tuning and delay timing are in constant motion; everything modulates everything else. These aren't the ubiquitous clicks and glitches of minimal, but something far more inspired. Review: We still don't know much about Digwah, but what we do know is that they make killer tech house cuts. In the past, these tasty, straight-to-business white label 12"s have been supported by dons like Ricardo Villalobos so Digwah is deffo doing something right. Review: Looks like we have another Digwah white label in this week. The label first appeared on our radar several years ago with its second release 'Something Else' by an anonymous artist who threw down a sublime vocal by Cuba Gooding over a pumping acid tech house groove. Fast forward to DIGWAH 07, the formula remains the same and is still rather effective. In this case, the vocals are taken from a rather legendary early '90s pop collaboration over a hypnotic, bass-driven minimal house groove aimed squarely at the afterhours dancefloor.

Review: Sometimes a tune comes along that you just know is going to come a bit of a cult classic. We have the feeling that will be the case with the opening gambit on this new series, Musik For Pet Lovers, from the Memory Believes Before Knowing Remembers imprint. It is the work of AKeeM Dans Op De Deel who remixes DJ Bistro Schulz's 'Disco Loves You' into a languid, grubby groove that slowly but surely does great things with scattered percussion, radiant synths, minimal rhythms and plenty of mood shifts, not least when the classic vocal sample drops in. On the flip is AKeeM & 4-Takte's 'The Sermon' which is another slow-motion but high-impact sound with spoken words, dub drums and yearning pads.

Review: Chicago has many legendary figures, but one who stands proud among many is DJ Deeon, a low-end legend and widely considered to be the true Godfather of ghetto house. He dropped this EP originally back in 2013, and it is one of many that soon became classic, which is why it gets this remix from Chiwax. 'Happy' perfectly summarises Deeon's sound - booming and heavyweight kick and drums, smart samples looped perfectly and big hooks. 'The Truth' speeds things up and brings that Ghetto sleaze, and 'R U Sure' is a more minimal sound that still bangs like a heavyweight. 'Gigabytes' is full of caustic synths and blending melodies that bring sheer chaos to the club.

Review: Amygdala, the forthcoming LP from DJ Koze holds the dual title of being one of this year's most keenly awaited long players as well as the album with the most bizarre cover art. Quite why the producer is riding a reindeer hasn't been made clear yet, but this two track 12" does clue us in to to the possibility the album will hold up to such high expectations. "La Duquesa" is one of the few tracks on Amygdala not to feature a collaborator and stripped bare of any outside distractions finds Koze on sublime form; equal parts tender, refined, casual, serious, deep and euphoric. When those strings hit is a joy to behold. In contrast "Burn With Me" is dark, druggy, delicious and decadent.

Review: DJ Normal 4 infuses plenty of psyched-out colours, trance from the 90s and sleek deep techno rhythm in his work for this new one on Fantastic Planet. 'Eden Responding' kicks it off with singing synth lines over quick beats. 'Spore Clouds' is more deep and driving with less melodic playfulness and 'Green Mantra' brings some more twisted after-party energy. Review: Mark Grusane presence on Disctechno brings with it a compilation of five unique house tracks from Chicago and Detroit-based producers, as you will probably have guessed from the title. The A-side features DJ Slush's synth-driven 'Memory Blank' and Deon Jamar's bass-heavy 'AYYYO' which offer different but both killer sounds. The B-side opens with Jordan Zawideh's reverb-drenched 'Axolotls' followed by Grusane's intense, atonal 'The Recoil' and concludes with Thomas Xu's groovy 'School Street.' All of these are the sort of off-kilter sounds you would expect of these revered and enduring electric hotbeds. Raw, stripped-down and authentic, this is the contemporary Midwest underground.

Review: He's the original (and maybe only self-proclaimed?) house gangster and he is back in 2025 and sounding as good as ever. Puerto Rico by way of Chicago's DJ Sneak makes beats as raw as the meat he likes to chuck on his BBQ grill and UK house legend Nail must be a fan cause it's his label he lands on now. This is a solid four-tracker that ticks all the boxes with its killer grooves and smart loops. 'All I Need In Life' is a playful opener, 'Das Gud!' gets more intense and trippy with its bleepy melodic refrains and 'Help Me Somebody' then sinks back into loose and dusty, disco-tinged drums with classic cowbell hits. 'What You Expecting From Me' is a sweaty and gritty warehouse banger to close with aplomb.

He nods to that in the title of this new EP, 'Still Jackin'', on In The Future. It kicks off 'Going Back To My House' and with some underlapping bass and nice roughshod kicks while industrial metal hits up top bringing some balance. 'Still Jackin' has reverb-drenched drums and crispy hits that make for perfect mid-tempo body music and 'Can I Get Ahhh Feeling' brings some more diffuse, soul-infused vibes and late-night warmth. Review: Arpanet is a new imprint focused on reissuing far-sighted club cuts and electronic curiosities from the dim and distant past, helmed by French veteran DJ Speep. Fittingly, the label's first release is a reissue of Speep's 2001 collaboration with friend Fab, Sensitive. The title track, which resides on side A, is a classic example of moody, turn-of-the-century tech-house, where metallic electronic motifs, foreboding chords and layered percussion rides a dark bassline and swinging, non-stop drums. 'Space Road' offers a more intergalactic, acid-flecked take on early morning, early noughties tech-house, while 'Ladiescope' is warm, tactile, rolling and quietly postive: dreamy tech-house for wannabe astronauts and sun worshippers of all ages.

DJ Tommy Starck is the man in charge and he opens with big, filtered disco-house loops that pack an emotional punch. 'Disco' then hist harder than Deontay Wilder with its raw, slamming kicks and loopy synths echoing the early work of DJ Sneak. Review: Dragutesku's deft take on minimal is a mix of the abstract and the surreal if this EP is much to go on. 'Ecliptic' comes first as a vocal mix and is all backlit synth glows, fizzing synths and distant, heart-aching hooks with thumping drum loops front and centre. It is pure passion but also comes as a dub for more late night sets. On the flip is a Traumer mix that rewires the track into a rickety and loopy rhythm fleshed out with smeared pads and last of all is 'Jazzofil', a more downbeat and experimental cut full of weird and wonderful sound sources.

Review: Robert Drewek vs Tomie Nevada's 'Time 4 More' EP was originally released on Unleash Records in 2005. Nine years on and Rawax are reissuing it on black wax and the tunes sound as good as ever. 'While He's Away' is a slick blend of garage-infused house drums and warm synth pulses with catchy vocal samples that bring a hint of old school. On the flip is 'Down With the Bass' which flips the script with a stripped back and militant but silky groove, dubby pads and a head's down vibe that really hypnotises.

Review: This EP is such a favourite that it gets repressed on the regular but still always sells out in quick time. Now it's back once again, this time on a nice white slab. Drewek and Nevada collaborated extensively in the mid-2000s and honed in on their own distinctive electro-techno hybrid as they gained attention with 'Done In 2 Days' which featured on Slam's popular Nightdrive mix album. The original EP containing this track also features other tunes that have aged gracefully while retaining a spiky attitude that resonates with modern dancers. It showcases a range of sounds, from the rubbery acid grooves of 'Follow Me' to the edgy tech vibes of 'More CPU Please.'

Review: Leading Romanian minimal proponent Dubtil is packed with some literally and metaphorically heavyweight wax via the Playedby label out of his homeland. 'I' kicks off with lush under-lapping grooves and silky pads that mesh perfectly with the lithe bass. It's loose body music followed by 'II', a darker cut with snaking and paranoid bass and crispy hits pinging off the groove. 'III' brings more layers of symphonic sound over tight, pinging kicks that meander onwards and sink you into a meditative state. 'IV' closes out with a more sparse and eerie vibe, occasional hits and lazy dub vibes that cast your mind free.
