Debel Iteritas Alia is a hybrid additive phase-modulation voice inspired by classic and experimental synth sounds from across the decades. Three synthesis algorithms range from classic FM plucks and basses to all-out additive anarchy. DIA features a two-parameter envelope with a huge range of shapes and timing, making it easy to dial in the exact sound you want. With CV over every parameter, a dedicated envelope output, and an absolutely massive timbral range, Debel Iteritas Alia is a powerhouse synth voice in a compact package.

Supplier's Notes:
Desmodus Versio is Noise Engineering's take on a synthetic-tail generator reverb. In only 10hp, it features true stereo in and out, seven CV-controlled parameters, and three reverb modes. Desmodus Versio's feedback control sets the length of reverberation, from short echoes through infinite regenerations.

At its max, the reverb ducks when it receives input, useful for creating sidechain ducking and atmospheres for percussion. The different reverb modes offer even more sound options with clean, distorted, and pitch-shifting shimmer settings. The FSU button acts as a freeze and also creates some noise to stimulate the reverb when there is no external input.

Desmodus Versio isn't just a reverb, though: it's a DSP platform. Its firmware can be changed via USB, so users can load future firmwares onto it or develop their own with upcoming open-source support.

Gamut Repetitor is a four-channel random quantized voltage generator with looping, range, key, and scale settings. It features a built-in quantizer with 27 scales grouped across a selection of three CV-controllable switches, so it's easy and fun to generate patterns you'll love. The trigger outputs can simply pass through the input trigger or they can generate random triggers for more modular merrymaking.

Patching GR is as simple as sending in a trigger pattern and turning Length up. Then you can use the built-in quantizer, key, and range controls to change the way voltages are generated. Once you hear something you like, turn the Length down to a sequence length you like (up to 32) and loop away!

Loquelic Iteritas Percido is an extension of the original Loquelic Iteritas. Like Loquelic Iteritas, it is a digital VCO with interpretations of three classic synthesis algorithms involving dual pitch control parameterized by four tone controls. LIP adds an envelope that can be shaped, modulated, and routed to pitches and tone controls, making it into a stand-alone voice.

Notes: Really nice take on an arpeggiator module here. Four-channel design features editable arpeggio patterns, CV control and transposition. Real-time performance meets customisable melody generation.

Notes: Roucha Legio is a 12 dB /octave state-variable stereo multimode filter available on the Legio DSP+oscillator platform.

Noise Engineering received tons of requests for NE filters over the years, and Roucha Legio is their first dedicated release. The filter features lowpass, bandpass, and highpass settings and tracks frequency via the dedicated encoder and extremely accurate 1v/8va CV input. Roucha Legio's CV-controlled resonance parameter can go from clean to acidy-squelchy for bassline joy. Add CV for filter sweeps that will knock your socks off. Of course, because it's a Noise Engineering module, there's a Fold knob. Add wavefolding to the signal chain before, after, or both before and after the filter.

Noise Engineering have made it easy to carry out dramatic buildups and cuts with Roucha Legio. Just tap the encoder to bypass; tap again to turn the filter on again. Want to automate it? Send a gate into the Bypass input. The filter will remain bypassed as long as a high gate is present.

Roucha Legio is also a DSP and oscillator platform: users can change the firmware on any Legio module, 100% free, to any other firmware in the Legio series.

This is a high-resolution dual-channel recording interface for your signals mainly focused on recording control voltages. You can record from 1014 sec at 172Hz up to 4 sec at 44.1kHz of signal on each channel, change the playback speed and scan through the recorded CV.

There is a dedicated attenuverter pot for your incoming signals. When nothing is patched to the input you can use the input pot as an offset/cv generator and record pot movements into the module.

Notes: Etna is an advanced triple-control Analogue Multimode Morphing Filter & Digital Control, that has been meticulously designed for precise and dynamic sound shaping. It allows for rapid or smooth transitions between diverse filter settings, known as snapshots.

Each snapshot comprehensively defines all of the filter's parameters, which can be adjusted either swiftly or gradually. These transitions are controlled through an applied voltage or clock and triggers, with the flexibility to use up to eight distinct stages for creating complex filtering effects in various audio applications.

Notes: The Serge GTO is a newly designed, complex multi-functional module which can be patch programmed to provide various slew and sample functions both for audio and CV signals, but also act as a (dual) oscillator or filter or bitcrusher or ... It is one of the essential Serge modules. The GTO is an offspring of the famous Serge SSG.

The Smooth section will place a positive and negative slew on input voltage transitions for lag effects, voltage controlled portamento and for low frequency filter applications. In Cycle-mode (cycle jack patched to the input), the Smooth side “will oscillate yielding a voltage controlled triangle wave LFO. A high level into the HOLD input will enable the Smooth Function to be used as a track-and-hold circuit with voltage controlled slew rate.

The Stepped function can be used as a sample-and-hold with voltage controlled slew rate limiting. In Cycle mode, a pulse applied to the Sample input will generate complex staircase waveforms for control voltage applications and for use as audio signals.

Effects rack

Each voice has its own "rack" of effects, and all audio effects can be enabled at the same time, allowing you to manipulate your samples in real time, from a gentle lowpass to massive destruction!

pitch - a great sounding pitch engine, based on a 6-pole interpolator, which ranges from -1 octave to +1 octave.

bits - two different bitcrushing algorithms, based on sample rate and resolution reduction. It produces distortion and warms the audio signal.

filter - a low resonance filter, DJ-style, cutting off the high frequencies or the low frequencies.

freeze - sample and loop a fraction of the played waveform, creating a glitching effect.

levels - decrease the gain or drive the signal.

It's also possible to edit 'advanced parameters' like the start point, sample length, attack/decay and run mode, and create mute groups without breaking a sweat.

Finally, thanks to the 4 CV inputs, any of the effects (or advanced parameters) can be assigned to create amazing modulations!

Multi-layer sampling

One of the key feature is the ability to "multi-sample" your kits, multiplying Rample's potential. Each voice supports up to 12 samples, can be played randomly or in a controlled fashion. It's a great way to add complexity and variations, to create organic/acoustic sounding drums, or simply to increase the number of samples per kit (up to 48).

As an example, Squarp are providing a multi-layered drum kit, with 12 different recordings of a kick, 12 different recordings of a snare, etc. Sequencing them randomly leads to a more natural drum playing.

Another kind of multi-layered acoustic drum kit is also provided, where each drum is recorded with 12 levels of velocity. Controlling the layer to be played leads to intricate, convoluted drums programming.

Of course, it's very easy to create your own multi-layered kit, and you can use this method to perform multiple synth chords, sound glitches, voices, breakbeats, ...

CV/Gate and Midi interface

Rample is designed to be the perfect rhythmic companion of your eurorack system thanks to its Gate (trig samples) and CV (modulate samples) connectivity.

You can also use it as a standalone midi machine, without using the CV/Gate connectivity: the midi in port allows you to trig & control all samples parameters + effects values at the same time. Each Rample comes with a 'stereo jack to midi DIN' and 'stereo jack to jack' adapters, easing the chaining of multiple modules in order to create an 8-voice, 12-voice, 16-voice (or more) midi drum machine!

Notes: Studio Electronics' version of the boxy, Blade Runner-sweet and Boomstar-brash dual mode CS80 filter, initially married to the Omega Series Synths, and then tucked-in the 'Stars, now joins the Modstar Collective. They've twisted and turned the SE88 to unflatten the earth, so to speak; the original CS80 fed a HP filter into a LP filter, but with the SE88 your can select MODE 1's HP or BR to feed MODE 2's LP or BP, or patch it to reverse that pleasant path. The audio signal is completely controllable with input and output levels for each filter. Cherish and respect your filter's input gain stages, for a smooth yet often brassy sound - shed your mercy to strike hard for boiling, snarling bite, even to the blackout/cutout point (see Greg St. Regis, Tim Caswell, and Marc St. Regis' SEM filter commentary for a detailed diatribe on this "feature too far"); then and only then, uniquely blend mode settings for the filter family values you revere.

To get things merrily modulating, each filter employs attenuverters for frequency and resonance experimentation and decimation. While the SE88 does not self oscillate (Yamaha's creation didn't either), we did amp up the resonance level for full-throttle squelching. An additional master FM (frequency modulation) attenuverter-controlled level can feed both filters (when hungry enough) simultaneously, and tracking switches allow for individual keyboard response for each of the contrasting and complimentary filter modes.

Notes: Vinia is a new powerful 8-channel audio generator and processor for Eurorack. Each channel is independent and has its own signal chain. This can be a multi-engine instrument, an FX processor, a combination of both, or a chain of several FX.

The sound generator section offers 2 sample players (one plays from the 16 MB internal flash memory and the other directly from the microSD card), various VCOs (VCO, multi-VCO, harmonic VCO), Karplus, a Chord generator, noise, a drum synth and modulation generators (LFO, envelope follower, envelope).

Audio outputs are DC coupled so it can be used to generate complex CV modulation sources too.

There are 2 types of modulation in Vinia, the first is stepped (occurs every 1,4 milliseconds approx.) and very flexible, any modulation source can modify any parameter of any track. Notes: Octogain is a eight voice polyphonic analogue audio VCA plus a eight voice mixer with master level control and odd/even (Right and Left) channels for a stereo output and clipping indicator. All eight VCA ins and outs are simultaneously available through Polytip jacks and 3.5mm jacks so the module can be used in a variety of ways both polyphonic or multi-voice monophonic. The fully analogue audio path has exponential CV control. CV inputs are 0-5V, typical audio input is 10Vp.p. A global Offset knob allow to open all VCAs manually or apply positive offset to incoming CV. The design uses very low power consumption with excellent audio quality.

Notes: OCTOPASS is an eight voice 24db/octave low pass filter based on the classic 2044 filter. All eight filters are fully analogue with gain compensation of resonance and the lovely lush sound of classic synths. A global frequency modulation CV using a 3.5mm jack can be used to modulate all eight incoming CVs of the Polytip jack. The typical use is to patch polyphonic synthesisers with the use of only a few Polytip patch cables for its audio ins and outs and its cut-off frequency controls. To tap each filter I/O or CV using discrete modules the OCTO I/O module can be used as an expander. As there are eight filters in the module special attention has been given to power consumption efficiency.

Notes: OCTOPUS is a powerhouse ART controller that takes MIDI in via the USB or DIN connector and outputs 8 ART channels with 8 velocity CV plus 8 drum triggers. Together with the ART oscillators the OCTOPUS provide unprecedented simplicity connecting the modular to your computer sequencers, hardware midi sequencers and keyboards. Each ART channel can play polyphonic notes, monophonic notes or create multi-channel polyphony using an internal voice manager. All together OCTOPUS can play more voices and notes from a single controller than ever was possible in modular. Using ART high speed control signals OCTOPUS can maintain low jitter for tight timing.

Notes: Introducing the TOMS909, the warmth of the classic, all-analogue, punchy tom-toms from the TR-909 drum machine. The TOMS909 contains all three of the TR-909's original LOW, MID and HIGH tom-tom circuits adapted for use in the modular format. The module was designed to sound like a fresh machine coming off the assembly line back in the 80's. To add flavour to the beast, Tiptop have extended each tom's tuning range so it's easier to dial soft bass drums on the low end and high-pitched toms on the other.

The toms circuitry is made up of 9 triangle oscillators and a stack of filters, VCAs, and envelopes which, in total, took about half of the space on the original 909's circuit board. Utilizing the latest in electronic design technology, Tiptop have managed to squeeze this enormous circuit, consisting of more than 450 components, into an area only 16HP wide. It is a beautiful board with hundreds of tiny, shiny components: it's a little analogue jewel.

Each tom includes a trigger and accent input with accent level control, manual tune, voltage-control tune input with attenuator and independent audio out. In addition, a MIX out is available that sums all three toms together as well as access to the MIXZ MixBus on the back. On each gate input, Tiptop have designed a dual pulse-shaper circuit so you can trigger your TOMS909 with trigger/gate signals from sequencers or any other pulse/clock sources.

An assortment of interchangeable cards, programmed by Tiptop Audio and specialists like Valhalla DSP, provide a wide range of boutique effects algorithms such as Halls of Valhalla, Time Fabric, Clocked Delays and Grain De Folie. Tiptop Audio also offers blank Z-DSP cartridges and a development tool called NumberZ for developers, students and power users who want to design their own effects and cards with the FV-1 DSP chip programming language. Blank cards can be loaded using programs that are freely available for non-commercial use and can be found in the modular community through online forums. With each card swap, the Z-DSP takes on new effect algorithms, changing like a digital chameleon and bringing colourful digital effects processing to your Eurorack setup.

Notes: The Z8000 Matrix Sequencer is a modulation source like no other: The 16 knobs of the Z8000 are accessed by ten sequencers with their own clock, direction and reset inputs. The ten sequencers are as follows:

The Z8000 pairs well with the Trigger Riot and Circadian Rhythms and using it with the QuantiZer extends its capabilities as a high-precision 1V/Oct note sequencer.

Introduced in 2017, a new version of the Z8000 maintains the original circuitry but adds output range adjustment switches on the back and Tiptop's new colored look, which helps highlight the sections, on the front.
