The Goove (Philippe B remix)
Review: Smashing return from this Parisian label. Fat production from Ceeryl & Romain Curtis (producer of the monster hit "Losing" on Discoball 04). The original mix is already a must-have and the remix takes you higher. Philippe B. remix is simply amazing. Piano riff sounds pretty much like his previous hit on Paintball, "Can you feel Hit". One of this summer’s anthems.

Resek (Nils Noa remix)
Review: Remixer Nils Noa has had recent success with 'Monkey Break' which was featured on Sasha's Avalon CD. Being supported by big name DJs from all over the world. Deep Records is A&R'd by Peter van Hal, who is music director of the Extrema organization in Holland. He also looks after A&R for Deep Focus, DK Records (with Matthew Dekay) and Extrema Records. Plays on Digweed's Kiss FM show. Guy J is a brand new artist with only a couple of previous releases, things are already looking good. "Nils Noa rocks!" - Hernan Cattaneo, "Nice tune. Liking this Guy J's stuff at the moment...trippy disco baby." - Fergie, "This Is Awesome. I love it... totally amazing rocking groove. Awesome synth hook and a top bass line as well." - Marti Leama, "This is great track, love both mixes." - Dominic Plaza, "The Nils Noa mix is my favourite mix of the 2." - Armin Van Buuren, "I will support club and radio doing everything for the cause." - Paul Hughes.

Timelapse (12'')
Cat: PSR 007. Rel: 20 Jul 06
Timelapse (original mix)
Timelapse (Moonbeam Pres Glockenspiel remix)
Timelapse (Tyre & Tare Elektrotek dub mix)
Review: Malaysian outfit, Pure Substance release their 7th record with contrasting sides to give something for everybody. On the A-side the progressive heads will be nodding, as Jiva turns in a beautiful vocal driven song, for a pure end of night experience. On the flip, Russian Moonbeam takes the track like a punch square on the chin. Building the techy driven bassline forward, whilst stripping the majority of the vocals. To complete the disc, Italian boys Tyre & Tare conjure up an equally techy and aptly named 'Elektrotek' mix, again bringing the tempo down for a more subtle yet driving affair. Reactions: "Good stuff!" - Saeed Younan, "Love the Moonbeam present Glockenspiel mix. Will definitely be playing" - Shiloh, "Gonna play the 3 of them for sure! bravo for both remixes" - Moshic, "Glockenspiel mix rocks, really well produced" - Andy Moor, "Loving the original of this. Awesome chunk of atmosphere! Bassline rocks and the vox works really well" - Anil Chawla (Saved), "Glockenspiel mix' is very Groovy. Nice One!' - DJ19, "We like the original mix which is very nice" - Flash Brothers, "Moonbeam meet Glockenspiel mix is groove. Full support from me. I will test drive this baby at The Cross and Fabric this weekend" - Kamishake (Chumbomundo), "Liked the Moonbeam mix, was cool" - Onno (Radio FG), "I really love this! Emotional music. The original is the mix for me and I can see this being a big tune. Will be playing and charting. Your best yet for me" - Shafunkers, "Moonbeam mix, really dig the energy on it and the production is excellent!" - Mike Hiratzka.

Dali (Sam Ball remix)
Review: R-tem has had previous releases on the likes of Lost Language, Armada, Cuba, Baroque, Saw, and Primal;
and last year saw him launch his own label - Snoochiboochi. He now also hosts his radio show 'Maximuse'
on Ukraine Kiss FM and is one of Russia and Ukraine's biggest DJs. As a musician and producer, R-Tem
constantly searches for new ideas and sounds. With this new track he takes the electro-tech-house and
progressive styles and blends them into the relentless electronic concoction that is 'Dali'.
On the remix is Sam Ball, Sam is the latest gem to be brought to the forefront of Club Class's residents (for
over three and a half years) alongside Nic Fanciulli. His debut EPs appeared on Urbantorque, and his style
of classy deep house shines through on this remix, throbbing drums and swinging bass.. lovely!

Review: A deep and polyrhythmic Brazilian house excursion. 'Caminando' tore up many a dancefloor nine years ago, but it was not created in Rio De Janeiro but rather Frankfurt Am Main, and by one of the city's favourite sons - Frank Heinrich aka Reboot. Heinrich sampled a Geraldo Vandre production which featured vocals by Simone Bittencourt de Oliveira, and really added the dancefloor dynamics needed to turn a new generation onto this classic song. This repress on RBT Classic is sure to be in high demand, with the original fetching exorbitant amounts on the second hand market - don't sleep on this one!

Gore (5:44)
Review: 'Cosmic progressive house' is a relatively rare denomination for new dance releases, but that hasn't stopped Rand MUZIK, who here welcome Australian newcomer Reflex Blue to their roster for four tracks of acid heat. Electro, acid, vocal gates and modular jams are checked off in the space between 'Implant' and 'Gore', as we're left dumbfounded and hypnotised by the repeated assertion made by one vox: "this place distorts reality".

Opener 'In The Blink Of A Cosmic Eye' is a sleek and electrifying cut and then 'It's Inside U' has an even more driving vibe that tunnels deep. Remotif - "Ludovician" (7:35)
Jay Gadian - "Crisscrossing" (6:38)
Reflex Blue - "Mystic" (5:50)
Wilt - "Fractal Ceiling" (6:08)
Review: We can't fault anyone for calling their EP Four Really Good Tracks just so long as it does indeed feature four really good tracks. This hand-stamped 12" from Terrazzo does just that with contributions from four different artists. Remotif's 'Ludovician' kicks off with a nice zoned-out tech roller for 4AM. Jay Gadian then steps up with 'Crisscrossing' which has a busier rhythm anymore searching synths smeared over the face of the groove. Reflex Blue's 'Mystic' is a busy workout with spiraling melodic refrains and a constant sense of cosmic takeoff. Wilt's 'Fractal Ceiling' then shuts down with acid laced deep techno.

Crazy Crazy (Luca Ricci E Paulo Rocha alternative mix)
Crazy Crazy (Luca Ricci E Paulo Rocha dub)
Review: A chugging dark deep techy monster. Two great remixes by Luca Ricci and Paulo Rocha on the original of Chris Barnes' "Crazy". Chris Barnes is known for being part of B-Hut. B-Hut was formed in1987 by Chris Barnes and Marcel Stranis. Together with this project and other projects Chris has basically toured all over the world as a musician. He has collaborated with a lot of music icons in different fields of the industry. Label owner Luca Ricci and the Portuguese producer Paulo Rocha deliver two brilliant remixes on this release named "Crazy Crazy". Luca Ricci is known for his work on Stereo, Screen Recordings and Low Pressings among others. Paulo Rocha is an up and coming talent to watch for! He recently remixed the track "Freak Out" by Solid Façade (a project of Jaimy/Fatal) that is getting played by all the big tribal DJs around. Now let's get to the actual tracks: The A side, the alternative mix, has a fresh electroish sound with funky chords and a chunky bass. A very creative mix with lot of SFX and the male vocal singing what basically everyone thinks about when partying hard: "Craaaaazyyyyyy". The dub mix, has a sexy rhythm with a dark bass underneath and techy sound with freaky pads. Yet another great release from the brand new Aenaria stable and be prepared for much more!

My Life (original mix)
My Life (Magik J remix)
My Life (Twin Pitch remix)
Review: Great deep sounds on the new Blockhead imprint. This New Zealand duo have a winner on their hands with "My Life", a nice mix of buzzing electro house and jacked up rhythms that feature cool spoken words from Method Mad. The original mix throws together a nice bass riff with some cool cut-up vocals and stabs, while the one and only Magik J delivers a nasty builder with technofied filtered loops and serious prime-time energy getting it done on the floor. The remix is more of a big room electro stomper with huge bass riffs destroying the dancefloor. Big stuff for fans of labels like 2020 Vision and Dirtcrew.

Review: The fledgling but already notable UFO Series now looks to Italian producer and prodigious underground innovator Riciar Ghir for a captivating journey through the more energetic house realms, all with an outer space feel. 'Niriba Shuttle' opens with tribal percussion and progressive synths that are coloured by subtle acid lines. 'Silenzio' is slow, heavy and persuasive with its old school piano acting lighting up your soul. There's a twisted tech funk to 'Platter Dreams' that makes it perfect for 2am cruising and 'Bad Egg' sets down with plenty of colour. These cuts will all work several different moments on the dance floor making it a hugely useful 12".

This is the full vinyl release for "Restore", which was featured on Satoshi Tomiie's 3D mix earlier this year. This track is a powerhouse of angelic synths and building melodies that get driven forward by a solid kickdrum and hypnotic bassline. Square One
Route One
Review: Jim Rivers's tracks have been featured on Saw Recordings, with a forthcoming release on Nic Fanciulli's Saved imprint. Jim Rivers creates another classy single for his third release this time on the EQ Grey label. The "Square Route EP" continues on where the "Restore EP" on Saw left off, with its electro styled bottom end as well as its ferocious and fantastic bubbling melodic synths. This Bristol native keeps turning out the tracks, and has yet to disappoint. "Square One" is built around a nice fuzzy kick and electro hits that build and work perfectly with arpeggiating synths. A bubbly grooving bottom end sets in while layer upon layer of slightly melodic bouncing sounds follow creating a lot of movement. They drop in and out effortlessly building into a mild intensity before falling into a break. The beats and bass fall to the back pulsing ever so lightly, while the melodic sounds are pulled into a world of delays and effects, before finally settling back into the groove. "Route One", very similar in style but stronger on the dance floor. A cool electro arp leads down into a heavy kick, while clicky hats and a low bottom bounce step in. More synths follow rolling and delaying again, building into a cool melodic groove that falls victim to a warm analogue synthy bassline. Clever movement and changes throughout keep your ears glued, adding hats and hits here and there, while a high string tone in the background lifts it all up and into a break. The wiggly bottom end comes back in after a titillating break that builds with snare rolls and the synths.

Review: Originally handed to a few top tastemakers last Christmas, the release of this undoubted deep and deadly floor-killer from Lyon's Rocco, was delayed six months after John Digweed requested it as an exclusive for his recent best-selling "Transitions" mix compilation. Dirty soaring intensity of the original with its bubbling acidic bass line and gorgeously emotive string-soaked outro caused Pete Tong to uncontrollably exclaim "The Hotness!" recently, and then immediately stick it in his Essential Selection Radio Show on Radio 1. Nic Fanciulli also reporting similar reactions from Ibiza. Buzzin' Fly recently released the third volume in their compilation series to huge acclaim, featuring many of the label's rosta of artists.

Review: After a brief rest, DK Records is back on form with 2 storming new tracks from Rocco Mondo & Onno. This is the sound of now...electro vox, very cool guitars and stomping beats. Sure to set many a dancefloor on fire! Reactions: "Very nice track. Support from me" - DJ San, "Really great track. It's got a fantastic groove" - Danny Dove, "Been playing this track for a long time now and it works really good" - Dominic Plaza. "Perfect for a lazy Sunday morning, this one has a classic melancholic vibe and becomes subtly uplifting when all the parts come together. A warm sustaining bassline, soft drums, and recurring chord pattern formulate the backbone as a piercing effect and smooth mesmerizing hook deepens the atmosphere. This has an early 90s feel but with very now production." - Nicholas Bennison (Big Shot Magazine USA).

Review: Jose Rodriguez is back on his own again with "Zero", a great piece of minimal electro for the dancefloor. Jose has very good production skills and this Permissive Records release will take him one step further in his already promising career. On the b-side there is a great remix by Xpansul.

His tracks always get amazing feedback. "4 AM" is a teaser for Roman Rai's long player.

Review: Harry Choo Choo Romero enlists the vocal talents of Red Carpet's Ramona on this pumping slab of peak time vocal house business. The full vocal mix features monstrous beats, grungy guitar riffs, low slung bass and Ramona's incredible vocal performance. This has huge crossover potential. A powerful dub is found on the flip which adds more electro flavoured synths and some huge building over the top dancefloor moments.
