Featuring Romanian producer Dragutesku (Mood Series/Recordeep) with the tripped-out and hypnotic bliss of "Fonetic", the always reliable Ukrainian Silat Beksi (who veers away from his trademark breaks-driven style) on the deeply ethereal groove of "Source" and Club Midi (Cluj Napoca) resident RQZ with with the subtle, rolling and totally trance-inducing "Conflicted".

Review: The second release from Prognose is packed to the brim with phoned-in samples, techy grooves and strangely salacious, synthy stabs. A standoff between contributing artists Mateo Dufour, Polar NL, Silat Beksi and Matpri, each track is a masterclass in the kind of black-cat slinkiness worthy of this brand of Dutch tech house, which requires subtlety to function effectively. Standouts include the rhodesy 'Yeah' (yeah, indeed) and 'Sviterok'.

Review: Hungarian label Juuz makes a bold debut here with a high class various artists EP. Each one is a relative newcomer to the scene, but they all bring something fresh. Erro's 'Geomet' is patient and sparse, with dreamy keys up top and a raw, dry groove. Mara Lakour gets a little more heartfelt with some colourful melodic motifs and Silat Beksi grinds out the sort of loopy tech groove that you latch onto and lose your mind to at 4am. Clarkent's prickly, mechanical 'Ma Donna' closes out with abstract sounds and freaky vocals that are designed to unsettle afterparty heads.

Review: German label Telum's sister label Aurum marks a return to wrecker rekids with another light-set payload, this time enlisting the aid of the talented Silat Beksi for chapter five in the so-named series. Through hypnotic, minimal grooves, deeper-shades bass and a life-before-your-eyes nostalgia - going heavy on the filtered samples on the likes of 'Sefirot' and 'Dao' - Beksi reproves those who'd doubt his craftmanship, submitting to the ancient way of the tao.

Review: After some promising releases by Doubtingthomas, Durrred, Yoshitaca and Ittetsu, Ukranian tech house hero Silat Beksi returns with the new one for Lille, France based Gaazol - created by Beunes William, Corton Axel and Molle Corentin. 'GAAZOL 004' is well worth your time: from the trippy and rolling A side cuts like "Anna" with its ethereal vibe, or the bass-driven and hypnotic bliss of "Awaia" with its subtle acid overtones. On the flip, he teams up with German producer Daniel Broesecke once again to follow up last year's massive "Get Some More". The track here is "Wings" which receives a wicked rework by Rominimal maestro Sepp (Uvar) who takes the track into truly arcane territory as always - you could imagine this one being played to the morning crowd at Sunwaves (but maybe next year!).

Review: When it comes to producing undulating, club-friendly tech-house and micro-house shufflers, Silat Beksi has a pretty good track record. We can confirm that this 12" - his first for Pleasure Zone following appearances on a string of like-minded labels - is similarly rock solid. On the A-side you'll find the deep and rolling "Back to the Future", where fluttering, outer-space ambient synths drift around a crunchy tech-house rhythm track rich in fizzing electronics and solid snares. Flipside "Kin 182" is, if anything, even deeper. Featuring a bolder bassline, dreamier chords and a breakbeat-driven house beat, it's arguably the more satisfying of the two tunes (though we wouldn't be surprised if more DJs champion the similarly impressive A-side).

Review: Silat Beksi appears on the What You Want imprint with a powerful little two-tracker in the same style as Romania's Slow Life entourage, and by that we mean that this is some poppin' minimal tech-house with extra levels of dread bass. "Shushu" clicks and staggers steadily, pushing through its dubwise flex with a freedom that's rarely heard in what is commonly thought of as 'dance' music. On the flipside, "Java" is similarly headstrong and floor-bound, with the addition of smoky harmonics that render it bizarre and alluring all at the same time. Top gear.

Review: Romanian minimal-tech badboy, Silat Beksi, returns to the ever-impressive Pleasure Zone with pair of highly-crafted, ultra-sleek dance bangers that really put some style and panache into the whole scene. "Rolling Shapes", as the title implies, is a smooth and direct dancefloor bruiser that cruises at a steady tempo and yet still manages to pulsate its heavy bass with a distinctive style. On the B-side, "Trainline" gets even dubbier and more ethereal, retaining those swiping waves of bass, but adding in all sorts of quirky, off-the-cusp melodies for even more psychedelic fun. Class.

Review: Moff's catalogue was inaugurated earlier this year with a split EP from Bodeler and Juan Zolbaran - an excellent little trip down tech house lane - and this time it's up to newcomer Silat Beksi to deliver the goods for 002. Thankfully, the man delivers a hot and moody stomper in the title track "Rumble", remixed into a more driving floor piece by Nima Gorji. Over on the B side, Beksi teams up with Corsu for the more tribal-leaning "Sangay", and ends with a rolling punch of drums and sparse melodies on "Sleeve Jacket".

The Ukrainian tech-house star is at his wonky, off-kilter best on opener 'Transcend', dousing a typically crunching, shoulder-swinging groove in glitchy electronics, moody aural textures, wild drum fills, trippy noises and effects-laden spoken word snippets. He doffs a cap to the masters of Romanian minimalism on the sturdy, metallic and locked-in excellence of 'Monoliza' before rounding off another rock-solid EP with 'Elephant Dream', a hazier and deeper slab of tech-house hypnotism rich in mind-altering stereo separation, swelling chords, oddball electronics and smooth, seductive beats.

Review: Four new shuffly twingers from Tied favourite Silat Beksi, pinning down a slew of minimal techno experiments which most producers tend not to dare try. While 'The Call' lulls us into a false sense of security with its 4x4 groove and expositionally fluttery synthwork, the ensuing tracks 'What You Say' suddenly get jiggy with it, dashing said sense to the side with its unpredictable scratches, shakes and syncopations. Closer 'Objects' continues this charge, easing up on the atmosphere in favour of pure rhythmic exercise, tempered by wompy transitions and strange metallics.

Review: Ukrainian tech-house stalwart Silat Beksi almost certainly has bigger things on his mind these days than crafting beautifully groovy, atmospheric and melodious EPs, so it's to his credit that he continues to do so. This 'Special Edition' on Bread & Butter Recordings is a typically strong offering. Check first opener 'Just Play It', an undulating, funk-fuelled affair in which drowsy melodic motifs, spacey synth sounds and echoing electric piano parts rise above a driving bassline and loose-limbed tech-house drums, before immersing yourself in the smoother grooves, dreamier chords and blissful melodies of 'Hero Suit'. Equally as impressive is B-side 'Jungle Meditation', a subtly tribal-tinged deep tech-house/minimal house outing full to bursting with splendid sonic details.

Review: Anatoliy Antpin AKA Silat Beksi has been in fine form of late, delivering a string of fine EPs for the likes of Constant Black, La Clap and Third Stream. The 'Solar Probe' EP, which marks his debut for Sounds of Sirius, is another fine release from the Ukrainian. He opens by fusing intergalactic, off-kilter tech-house with a touch of deep house warmth and the mind-mangling sonics of Romanian minimal techno ('Solar Probe'), before opting for a more locked-in, hypnotic brand of early morning tech-house on 'Iteration'. Over on side B, 'Africa' is melodic, piano-rich chunk of off-kilter tech-house eccentricity, while 'Lui Cuza' is a smoother, marginally tougher and more mind-bending dancefloor excursion.

Review: Silat Beksi is one of the most prolific Ukrainian artists operating in the minimal tech house scene, and following recent link ups with the likes of Rawax and Sous-Vide he's back on his own Modeight label with another batch of high grade groovers. There's a lot to enjoy about Beksi's sound as he tours through a strain of minimal which feels rooted in the mid-00s explosion around labels like Trapez, but equally you can hear the odd sprinkling of hip-hop sampling giving some extra swagger to the tracks while there's plenty of subtlety and depth in the production to let you know this is a modern offering. Review: Silat Beksi hails from Ukraine and has been serving up finely tuned minimal grooves for some time. This outing takes him to the young Duboka label for a trio of deft, lithe, sinewy sounds. 'Recognition' kicks off with a weighty and dubbed out low end but plenty of drive in the silky pads that loop in colourful patterns. It's a graceful groove which leads into the more lumpy and bubbly dub-tech of 'Sparkling Mouth', a Melchior Productions adjacent sound that is seductively smooth. 'Speak In A Whisper' gets more bitty and abstract with late-night afterparty energy and vinyl crackling bringing it to life. Fedo remixes it with more direct drum funk.

Review: Silat Beksi and Daniel Broesecke first joined forces for a collaborative EP on Vivus early last year, so it's little surprise to see them return to the imprint after a brief dalliance with Curtea Veche. They hit their stride on Side A, where "Mistral" offers an attractive blend of chunky, rolling tech-house grooves, rising and falling thickset bass, fizzing electronics and the kind of dreamy deep space pads that seemingly drift across the sound space. On the flip, "Get Some More" follows a similar blueprint, though thanks to even more spacey pads and some blissful synthesizer melodies it feels a whole lot more positive and glassy-eyed.
