Review: Trauma Collective returns to shock your system on their fifth release, which comes courtesy of Spain's Rafael M. Espinosa aka Geistform. The Barcelona-based artist, also known for his exploits under the Univac alias, has crafted a singular style that exists at the interzone of IDM, digital noise and electro and having earned him releases on Pi Electronics, Femur and Hands Productions in recent years.

Espinosa executes four programs in sonic warfare on the Antena EP, all sounding akin to complex bitstream amplification. A multi-level barrage of frequencies play offense on opening cut "Proxima B", which sets the theme for more widescreen pulsations that gash the senses, as heard on the syntax error of "Note Repeat" and building up to a climax on the monochromatic soundstage of "Norc" - a jagged and angular exploration in bass artefacts and static redux.

Since unleashing the austere techno of Birmingham legend Mick Harris (as Monrella) and hometown hero Kwartz on unsuspecting ears, the Madrid-based collective has now ventured into more experimental spheres, as heard on the off-kilter mentalism of ASC's Loop Research and the brooding atmosphere of Makunaimadama's limited cassette release last year. Antena is the logical progression for the label's next chapter, where it continues to push the threshold of electronic music's outer limits.

Review: Mo Wax, the legendary label, has been digging round in its crates and has pulled out 21 of their finest singles and are making them available again. Many of these 12"s have not been available for many years and others are just out and out classics, all of which are highly sought after. Many of these 12"s have been recompiled to include all the very best mixes and tracks for each single, while the remainder were perfect anyway, so are re-issued as per the original release. Review: My Own Mirror To Stay is a brand new and first-ever compilation from the Sure Thing label. It finds them carefully curating six new artists and welcome them to the family, each with their own personal reflections of the dance floor. Lukas Urban kicks off with supple, seductive and stripped back techno while Soreab layers up prickly percussive layers and Sanguine sinks you into a dream state with his lush ambient pads and skeletal rhythms. The flip side features three more elegantly designed and meticulous bits of techno sound sculpture. The always exceptional Neel has mastered this one too.

Review: Kansas-based YYU (pronounced "whywhyyou") strikes back after a debut LP which pushed him directly under the limelight back in 2012. His first EP for the ethereal Ramp and indeed, his first EP for any label, is a mesmerising bundle of sound - a sonic patchwork knitted together with the most intricate of aural patterns. YYU has been known to use snippets of field recordings to create his tracks and "Kiss As We Walk" was apparently recorded in a parking lot. Fusing aspects of hip-hop, broken beat and electronica, this guy is the next big thing. "When We're Old" uses similar tactics, this time using a bathroom's natural reverb to coat his sporadic beats and percussion into a total, dream-like twist.
