Review: The big room techno don that is Adam Beyer is back with more potent techno weaponry on his own Drumcode label, this time with part two of the 12th volume of his A-Sides series. His 'Take Me There' is first up in remix form and Carl Cox flips it into a surging peak time roller. Matt Guy's 'Give Me What I Want' is an emotive banger with big synth energy and reverberating vocals while ADHS's '2STEP' hits hard with its flaming drums and trance-y synths. Kaiserdisco then brings dark, stomping warehouse energy to their raved-ready 'Get On The Dancefloor.'

Review: Adam Beyer's notable techno label Drumcode seems to be as busy as ever of late. The label here rolls out a fourth part of its ongoing A Sides series, which is now up to volume 12. Though the Swede himself doesn't feature, some of his trusty sidemen do starting with Chris Avantgarde who brings big room, hard techno energy to 'The Last Time'. Bry Ortega keeps it just as intense with the machine-gun like synth fire of 'Discover 9', Massano brings some brighter synth loops to the stomping 'Betraya' and Spektre shut down with a mix of hardcore, trance and techno potency on 'Too Far Gone.' Some great DJ weaponry here, for sure.

Review: Drumcode's Elevate series hits a third instalment here and this time it is a three tracker with solo cuts from three big names. Tini Gessler kicks off with 'Nothing Expected' which is a teeth-gritting and white knuckle techno roller. Marie Vaunt serves up monstrously large and slamming kicks on 'Technology' and then runs them through with brutal synth lines that spray about with their own dark energy. It's a truly edgy cut before BEC's 'Humanoid' layers up hard tech drums that slam down firmly with a warped lead which leads you late into the night. A trio of high impact weapons, for sure.

Review: Adam Beyer's esteemed Drumcode resurfaces this week with the next installment in the A Sides series. We're already up to Vol 11's sixth part, and this one seriously means business. Take for instance Hungarian techno hero Jay Lumen's 'Astronaut' featuring the pummelling cyclicality of its muscular bassline that's reinforced by truly visceral kicks. Elsewhere, Dutchman LAAT (Elevate/Tronic) is sure to have you reaching for the lasers on the steely and acid-inflected power on 'Call Of The Tribes' while the enigmatic Zimmz will properly elevate you to maximum euphoria on the trance-influenced energy of 'Qualia'.

Review: Ever the champion of brains and brawn in equal measure, Maceo Plex makes his debut appearance on Drumcode with this punchy beast of a single. "Conjure Dreams" features plenty of Plex signifiers, from the rounded and rowdy bassline pump to the haunting tone of the synth lines, neatly packaged in a chunky framework of big room drums. "Conjure Floyd" meanwhile burrows into more minimal territory where the tones are amelodic and the percussion takes the lead, calling to mind the restraint and tension of classic M_nus productions where so much could be said with so little.

Review: While most Drumcode releases are suitably sizable, this EP is particularly large - and not just because it features two huge names in Maceo Plex and Josh Wink. Their original version (A1) is predictably robust and rugged with foreboding low register stabs, metallic clangs, druggy vocal snippets and creepy melodies rising above stomping techno beats. It's a genuinely all-action affair that sounds like a massive room anthem in waiting. Over on side B you'll find two re-rubs: a more melodious Raxon remix that sounds like tech-house on steroids and a deeper, darker, trance-inducing techno take by Shall Ocin.

Review: Inspired by a trip back to his homeland last year, Amsterdam-based Italian Luigi Madonna presents the Italian Shocks EP. The Drumcode staple returns to the label to follow up last year's Mad World EP with good friend Roberto Capuano. The title track is a cerebral techno tool aimed squarely at the main room dancefloor, followed by the steely and pummelling workout 'This Is The Future' which is perfect to bring on the peak time vibe. Over on the flip, 'Enveloping Times' is exactly the kind of austere tackle the moment calls for, then Madonna goes out all guns blazing on the powerful strobe-lit frenzy of 'Interfrequencies' and its gnarly Reese bassline.

Review: There is no bigger label in the business techno world than Drumcode, and one of the CEos of the sound has long been Italian Luigi Madonna. He links up with Roberto Capuano for a trio of hard hitting cuts that are desperate to be played in huge warehouses as soon as the lockdown is lifted. 'Mad World' is up first with its slapping drums and frazzled hits. 'System Alert' brings big alarm sound and wall rattling kick drums and 'Headquarter' closes down with a dystopian mood, eye watering kick drum pressure and plenty of techno darkness.

Review: Now well over 300 rises deep, Swedish staple Drumcode is one of main room techno's mightiest ever imprints. Adam Beyer has stepped in though several sonic evolutions all while staying true to its original signature sound - namely drum heavy techno. Massano shows he has mastered that style with this new Telepathic EP. The title cut is lit up with video-style game synths that flash abut over acid touches and rolling kicks. 'Destructure' pairs whitings back and allows some freaky synths to entangle themselves around the drums and 'The Method' veers towards harder techno worlds with hints of trance.

Review: Adam Beyer's Drumcode label has its ten year anniversary this year and there will be many releases as well as a massive compilation album project later in the year featuring brand new tracks from many of the label's key artists. One of the newest additions is the producer of this new release - Tor Lowkrantz or Mighty Thor as he is known. This 4-tracker again demonstrates the open musical policy of the label. The last Hardcell release was a fine piece of work demonstrating influences from both hard and minimal techno sensibilities. This release focuses more on the harder end of the scale but still remains fresh with its almost old Jeff Mills and Rob Hood influences. All 4 tracks have a fat groove and are saturated with funk yet still pack serious punch in any set. Another winner from Drumcode!!

Review: Swedish techno megalith Drumcode has decided to breathe new life into the back catalogue of veteran New York producer Moby. This 12" is the first of four due in coming weeks, all of which boast fresh interpretations of classic tracks. On the A-side, Luca Angelli offers his take on "Porcelain", combining Moby's evocative chord progressions and twinkling pianos with banging new techno drums and stabbing electronics. Dutch DJ Bart Skills handles the B-side, offering a rolling, atmospheric version of "Go" that makes the most of Moby's stretched-out chords (themselves famously sampled from the Twin Peaks soundtrack).

Review: Following the release of his superb autobiography a year or two back - not to mention his recent "snub" of new U.S President Donald Trump - Moby has been back in the news. Crucially, his old records are making a return too, albeit in freshly remixed form. This third remix 12" from muscular Swedish techno types Drumcode boasts three more reworks of vintage floor-fillers. On the A-side, Alam Fitzpatrick re-imagines "Porcelain" as a Berlin style tech-house chugger, using Moby's original synths as a spine-tingling breakdown. On the flip, Tiger Stripes lays down two remixes of "Go". The 'White Tail Mix" is a thumping techno stomper with a buzzing breakdown, while the "Black Lodge Mix" is a bumpin' house re-shape.

Review: It is a testament to Adam Beyer's enduring love for techno that he continues to serve up choice cuts from his long-running and influential Drumcode label on vinyl. He looks to the talents of Victor Ruiz and Modea for this new two-track 12". Firstly the pair hook up for 'Bloom', a cavernous techno sound that sweeps dancefloors off its feet and floats them amongst subtly uplifting chords while the drums toll on. There are epic melodic overtones to the flip side track 'Contrast,' too. This one will get heads held high, hands in the air and crowds fully taken in with its celebratory atmosphere - until the monstrous drums and acid arrive, that is.

Renowned for fostering a shared space between industry tastemakers and rising talent alike, the careful curation that goes into each volume is a fine example of why Adam Beyer's brand continues to go from strength to strength. This volume features scene stalwarts on the A side such as Brazil's Wehbba with his doom laden peak time assault entitled "Fake" featuring a monstrous Reese bassline this side of label classics such as "Murder Was The Bass", as well as Sweden's Tiger Stripes with the pre-peak time adrenaline of "Destroyer".
