Notes: The Sampling Modulator is a multi-function module that lies somewhere between a VCO, a Sample & Hold, and an 8 step trigger sequencer.

Sequencer Clocked Sample & Hold

In this mode it acts like a regular Sample and Hold (S&H) but since it is "sequencer clocked", it is capable of much more interesting patterns than the usual S&H melodies.

The CLOCK input can work in two ways: 1. As a typical clock 2. In "positive going hard sync" mode allowing you to create shuffling and polyrythmic effects.

The HOLD input can be used to keep certain notes playing.

Analog Down-Sampling Effect

In this mode (with the clock running at audio rates) you can go from nasty and harsh sampling rate reduction to an almost clean signal. (The clock run up to 25Khz without external CV and up to 200Khz with CV on the input).

Sampling Modulator/Shaper

Thanks to the V/Oct clock, by feeding a simple waveshape such as a sine wave to IN, and pitch CV to the VCO as well as to the Sampling Modulator CV input, their related frequencies and aliasing caused by the sampling rate reduction are capable of creating clangorous metallic sounds, 8 bit textures and much more.

The game becomes much more interesting when you try to destroy the wave by flipping on and off the switches of the sequencer (which at times can make it sound like three VCOs running in unison).

To understand how the Sampling Modulator works, keep in mind that we are working with a temperature compensated ramp core VCO with more than 4 octaves of tracking. This allows the timbre to stay the same while you move through the scale as the internal and external VCOs are synced in a fashion similar to "frequency related sampling rate modulation"

Unusual V/oct VCO You can use the trigger outputs as a pulse VCO. Flipping the switches on and off the switches can offer a lot of interesting timbral changes.

Notes: Module A-112 is the combination of a voltage controlled 8 Bit Sampler and a wavetable oscillator. On top of it the module is able to generate some special effects. A-112 was designed as an additional sound source with the typical sounds of the early 8 bit samplers and is not comparable with the modern polyphonic MIDI samplers available on the market.

Sampling mode: 8 bit audio resolution, 128kB memory in 2 banks 64kB each (equivalent to 2 seconds of sampling time for each bank with 32 kHz sampling rate), audio input with attenuator, overload display in record mode (gate LED), possibility of MIDI Dump to store sounds in a computer via MIDI, non-volatile memory for the 2 samples in the module, manual tune control for adjustment of sampling rate for record and play, CV input (~ 1V/Oct), both manual tune and CV determine the sampling rate respectively the pitch (pitch range is 5 octaves), gate input (not a trigger: the sample starts at the positive edge of the gate signal and is played as long as gate is high or until the end of the sample is reached), manual Gate button, non-filtered audio output (thus quantizing noise can be used as an element of the sound intentionally).

Wavetable mode: special appearance of the sampling mode when playing a sample, the audio input is now used as a second control voltage input for moving through the sample in 256 byte wide loops (wavetables). The control voltage required to move through all wavetables applied to the input "Wave CV In" is in the range -2.5V (wavetable 1) ... 0V (wavetable 127) ... +2.5V (wavetable 256) when control "Atten." is set fully clockwise. To achieve the typical wavetable oscillator sounds the sampling memory must contain corresponding wavetable data (e.g. loaded via MIDI dump). These data contain a set of wavetables with different harmonic content (e.g. a filter sweep) to get the typical wavetable sound while moving through the tables via CV. But you may also use a "normal" sample and go through the sample with CV to obtain partially amazing sounds never heard before. You may use for example sampled speech and go with CV through the syllables or speech shreds to get really very extreme sounds. An ideal addition for this feature is the Offset/Attenuator module A-183-2 which can be used to adjust the position of the wavetable (Offset) and the modulation depth (Att.). The corresponding jumper of the A-183-2 has to be set to bipolar offset (as the A-112 requires -2.5V...+2.5V to pass through all 256 wavetables). As modulation source an LFO (A-145, A-146, A-147, A-143-3), ADSR (A-140, A-141, A-142, A-143-1/2) or a random voltage (A-118, A-149-1) may be used. Even a ribbon controller (A-198 or R2M), the Theremin module A-178, the Joystick A-174 or the Wheels module A-174-2 are useful to drive through the wavetables.

Effects: Additionally, the module offers - in a way free of charge - some effects like delay, reverse delay, pitch shifting or freeze. But it has to be pointed out that due to the 8 bit audio resolution these effects are not comparable to high quality effect units and should be understand as an extra for nothing. The A-112 is not an effects unit!

The sampling time of the A-112 is about 1...30 seconds corresponding to a sampling frequency range of about 60kHz...2kHz (64kB@60kHz ~ 1 s, 64kB@2kHz ~ 30 s).

Technical note: the module uses a battery for the non-volatile storage of the sampling data. Batteries have a limited lifespan and have to be inspected at least every two years. For details please refer to the FAQ page of our website: Lifespan of rechargeable batteries (used for memory backup).

Notes: Versatile stereo digital filter based on Endorphin's Grand Terminal module. CV-controlled cutoff, resonance and separate high-pass filter. Simple but effective.

The Squawk Dirty To Me is a stereo filter with voltage controlled resonance. It features eight filter modes and zero-delay feedback.

Notes: Viol Ruina is an all-analogue distortion and lowpass filter with an internal envelope follower and self-modulating cutoff. The four-pole design is reminiscent of the classic filters we all know but with a completely new and slightly ridiculous twist. The independently addressable distortion circuit takes VR into overdriven paradise with a shocking amount of drive. Built-in envelope following makes an easy way to create dynamic patches with the flick of a switch, and feedback FM takes VR to a whole new realm of filthiness. Run a sound through VR, you'll get something cool out of it.

Notes: Row Power is a clean, regulated, and protected power solution for eurorack systems. Row Power 35 provides 35W of power, suited for any typical eurorack row (84HP to 168HP):

Simply plug a universal power supply (laptop style) into either of the barrel plugs on the 4HP panel. Connect your modules via flying-bus cables or the Bus Stick.

Daisy-chain multiple Row Powers to use a single power brick for multiple rows (typically 3-5 rows per power brick). Each row will be independently regulated and protected for ultra-low cross-talk between rows. Rows can also be hot-swapped (plugged/unplugged without powering the whole system down).

Notes: Outs enables your modular system to output both professional and prosumer compliant audio, and send it to external amplifiers, mixers, recording devices, or DAW interfaces. Using the L+R Level knob, it scales modular-level voltages down to the level required to drive external gear at either the +4dBu balanced professional line-level standard or the -10 dbV unbalanced standard.

Headphone monitoring is also provided via a low noise built-in headphone amp (with its own independent level control), capable of driving a wide range of impedances - from studio grade headphones to portable style earbuds.

To use Outs, simply connect the final output of your patch to the 1/8" inputs (where the built-in activity LEDs light up to indicate the presence and intensity of the input signal). The left input is normalled to the right, so you can create a stereo signal from a mono source. Or if you have an Intellijel Mixup, you can remove a jumper from its rear panel, and connect it to the Outs module using the 3-pin link cable included with the Mixup.

Notes: Ultra-simple 16-step Eurorack CV sequencer with randomisation option and storage for up to 16 patterns. Straight to the point business, all in just 4HP of rack space.

Small, easy-to-program sequencers are a bit of a rarity. Vox Digitalis is our answer to this issue. With intuitive displays and simple controls, VD is perfect for all your pitch CV needs. Set your sequence length, dial in each note, randomize, save and load 16 sequences -- VD does all the stuff the big sequencers do, just in 4HP.

Notes: The A-100LC1v is a smaller version of the A-100LC3 with 48 HP of space. It is made out of raw wood, a black coating gives the Eurorack frame a vintage look. The built-in power supply, type A-100SSB, delivers up to 380 mA at +12 V and -12 V as well as 100 mA at +5 V.

The A-100LC1v comes equipped with one 48 HP measuring row for 3U modules. Its power supply features eight connectors for oscillators, filters and so forth. The case is connected to the grid via an IEC power socket.

Notes: The original MiniMod Glide +Noise module was based exactly on the original Minimoog Model D circuitry, which was designed to be used with the built in Model D keyboard, and because of its vintage design its range was severely limited to 5 or 6 octaves, and it also responded to positive voltages only. Another limitation was that it would not return fully to zero when selecting long glide times, which restricted the range even more.

So we made the decision to re-design the MiniMod Glide + Noise using modern precision parts, and we have come up with an all new circuit which has exactly the same function, but with a hugely extended range. It has the same Glide slope characteristic (a slightly curved Linear Glide) as the Model D on which the MiniMod is based, however in response to many requests from customers we have adjusted the glide up and down speeds so that they are now very similar , which is much more useful in real world applications that the earlier MK1 version which (like the Model D) would glide up considerably faster than it would glide down.

The new Mk2 MiniMod Glide Noise module now has an impressive 14 octave range, and can respond to negative voltages down to -5V. This is a very useful feature, as our MiniMod VCO's will respond to negative control voltages and produce correspondingly low frequencies; so it is now possible to glide down quickly or slowly to crazy sub bass levels! The hold feature has been improved too, it covers the full audio range as well as DC control voltages, and works as a track and hold module with Eurorack signal levels.

A further enhancement is that the Mk2 module can now (using selectable jumpers) transmit or receive pitch CV to the Eurorack power bus; for example, the Glide CV Output can now be directed to the Bus in order to send CV's to (for example) three VCO's via the bus without the need for a passive multi and four patch cords!

The Noise section of the module is unchanged, except that we have slightly boosted the level of the Red Noise output to bring it more in line with Eurorack control voltage levels.

Lastly, it is much shallower - Mk1 Glide Noise had a depth of 54mm, and it was the only MiniMod module that was too deep to fit a skiff style case - and this prevented a full MiniMod system being installed into a shallow Eurorack case. The new MK2 version is only 28mm deep, so this allows both it and a full MiniMod system to be mounted into shallow skiff style Eurorack cases.

Notes: Erica Synths Cymbals is a distinct topology digital/analogue module, where cymbal samples are passed thru AS3330 based VCA and controlled via envelope generators of unique design. The module features 10 sets of custom Crash and Ride cymbal samples with Tune control and individual Decay control. Accent and CV control over Tone and Decay allow you to create lot of variations in the Cymbals track. An extra feature is sample looping - when it's on, a certain part of the sample is looped while the envelope decay is on, thus creating a distinct, delay-like effect. Cymbal samples are developed by producer and musician Nero Bellum.

Notes: Sewastopol is a multifunction Eurorack module designed for easy interfacing of external gear to your modular environment. It can export line and professional level audio, import audio from instruments and electroacoustic transducers, and analyse the incoming audio to generate voltages and triggers to control your modular system.

This is a second, vastly improved revision to the original 2014 Sewastopol, featuring a completely redesigned preamplifier circuit, better ergonomics and various other improvements.

Notes: Clep Diaz is a handy and small step CV and LFO generator. In step and random modes, use the encoder to control the number of steps in the sequence; in LFO mode, the encoder controls the amplitude of the wave. Toggle the directionality of the sequence: up, down, or up/down to customize the CVs further. CD also gives CV control over the number of steps in the sequence and an end-of-cycle trigger output. Unipolar and bipolar outputs allow maximal control.

Notes: Listen Professional circum-aural closed back headphones are the essential work tool for music production. Their tonal balance and precision in terms of audio spectrum make them perfect to evaluate the sound work quality. In addition, their comfort and accessories will make them very attractive for people travelling on business trips. The sound quality and the dynamics of these headphones are very surprising considering that this quality is usually found on more expensive items. The attention to detail of these headphones can be also shown thanks to the various patents and technologies which belong to Focal. Hence, a brand-new driver membrane was developed. The main goal was to propose a solution which would keep all the dynamics from the original track while reproducing accurately every single detail on the whole audio spectrum. Even if Listen Professional headphones are closed, they produce a very lively sound, giving the feeling of semi-open headphones while still providing the isolation of closed headphones.

Focal's core expertise:

The speaker driver has been given a 100% Mylar suspension, whereas the central dome is composed of a Mylar-titanium alloy to provide more rigidity and extended frequency response in the upper end of the spectrum. Thus, the moving part is extremely light, enabling the transducer to exceed 40kHz on a flat baffle. The reproduction of the bass and sub-bass registers also received a great deal of attention. The team of engineers managed to combine two factors which are hardly compatible: a tuning frequency which is as low as possible and extremely low distortion (0.3% at 1kHz - 100dB).

Ear cushions - the ideal acoustics:

The size of the ear cushions (height, width and depth) gives them a volume which makes it possible to achieve a great tonal balance. Microfiber provides a more linear bass response providing a better acoustic output, whereas the acoustic tissue, which is closer to the speaker driver, offers great absorption and linearity in the 3-9kHz register. The bass and lower mid-range sections benefit from remarkable tonal balance and excellent articulation: where compression and frequency response generally suffer on closed-back headphones.

For a frequent and intensive use:

Listen Professional is also equipped with a headband boasting a unique design to ensure comfort and durability. Its curve remains consistent, regardless of the shape or size of the user's head. Combined with the layer of silicone underneath the headband, this ensures that the weight is spread out evenly over the head, preventing the user from feeling any pressure in certain areas, which can be very uncomfortable during long working sessions. The horizontal and vertical rotation of the ear cups operate thanks to one single part: a joint integrated into each one. The ear cups also feature a black structured covering, making them resistant to impacts and scratching.

The Platform's compressor/limiter enables the user to precisely tune their instrument's dynamics and provides controls for Volume, Attack, Release and Sustain plus pushbuttons for Hard or Soft Knee and the Limiter. Its foot-switchable overdrive section adds to the pedal's versatility with dedicated controls for Volume, Tone and Drive. (Volume) swell is controlled by a dedicated knob. As it's turned clockwise swell increases from zero and notes fade in more gradually.

The HATS808 is the TR-808's real, analog closed and open hi-hat circuits adapted for use in Eurorack modular synthesizer format and tested to sound just like it did back in the 80's. Adapting to modular foramt has allowed Tiptop Audio to add some special features for each voice, like independent accent levels, a high-powered gain stage, and a dual-input pulse-shaper. Filter Q and VC-Q knobs were added to the main band-pass filter for additional tuning and to allow you to generate crushed tones and self-oscillation at the knob's max position - all without comprimising the signature sound of the TR-808 hi-hats.

The HATS808 sizzling sound is made using six analog square wave oscillators mixed and processed by band-pass filters. This multi-oscillator design is what give the 808 hi-hat sounds their unique metallic character and akes each HATS808 sound slightlty different from one-another. The original "choke" circuitry that makes it sound so dynamic and tight is fully implemented, just like the original, but can also be disabled if needed, by disconnecting the internal connection between the two hats.

Just like the other drums in this series, the HATS808 high-powered output gain stage allows you to further harmonize the sound using distortion and clipping. On each input, there is a dual pulse-shaper circuit so you can trigger your HATS808 with Trigger/Gate signals from step sequencers, clock dividers or any other pulse/clock sources. This eliminates the need to shape pulses sent to the module and ensures the same stable sound at peak power, regardless of your pulse source. All these unique features make integrating this legendary sound generator into your modular synth easy, unleashing the power of real analog drums.

Notes: Reverse-engineered from the original machine, our BD909 is an identical recreation of the original all-analog drum circuit of the TR-909. We've added additional controls and synthesis features that turn this classic circuit into a chest-pounding analog bass drum laboratory - all tightly packed into an 8HP module. The BD909 sound differs from our BD808 in that the main sonic energy is centered in the mid to low frequency range (as opposed to the low frequency range of the BD808). This frequency range gives the needed headroom allowing your bass Lines to deeply fill up the low end while the kick drum rides on top - creating a clear and punchy mix.

The BD909 includes all the controls found in the original: Attack, Decay, Tune Decay, Accent and Level. We have gone beyond that and added controls that further increase the palette of sound this circuit is capable of. First off, we've added a tuning control knob for the oscillator and included its own CV input and attenuator that let you tune your 909 kick with your bass lines. Next, we added control knobs for the tuning attack and extending tuning decay - each one affects the other, allowing for very intuitive and interactive sound shaping - this feature opens up numerous "sweet spots", and provides the ability to center the energy peak at different parts of the sound. Finally, we offer additional punch and distortion by giving complete control over the internal waveshaper, which allows you to overload the waveform manually or with voltage control.

Beginning with the classic and pure sound of the 909 kick, these additional functions greatly expand the BD909's flexibility and let it create powerful analog bass drums that range from soft and smooth to punchy and aggressive - and everything in between.

This has two LFOs, each with variable waveshape from Saw to Triangle to Ramp waveforms, or variable Pulse width on the Square wave output. LFO 1 has the addition of a low range and a Sync input. The nominal maximum frequency of the LFOs when in Triangle shape is 20Hz, but under certain combinations of settings they will go much higher, well into audio range.

Also included is a DC coupled VCA, the input of the VCA is normalised to the output of LFO 2, so a 0 to +5V input to the VCA CV input gives control of the LFO waveform amplitude. It can also be used as a stand alone VCA.

This module is very useful for controllers such as the Waldorf KB37 where the modulation wheel gives out 0 to +5V, this can be routed to the VCA CV module so the level of the modulation waveform can be easily controlled. This makes it very easy to add VCO vibrato or filter 'wah' with control of modulation amount from the modulation wheel or other controller.

Additionally, it can be used as a Four-Quadrant Multiplier or Ring Modulator for audio signals, with the processor input serving as the carrier signal and the polarizer's CV input acting as the modulator.

In Attenuator mode, MapVolt operates as a VCA, providing control over signal levels. Its VCA CV input range of +5/-5 makes it well-suited for amplitude modulation (AM) with other +/-5V waveforms.

MapVolt is equipped with dedicated Voltage Offset knobs for each channel, which can be controlled via CV. If no input is patched into the Processor input channel, the Voltage Offset knobs can be used as Offset Generators.

With its dedicated mixing stage, MapVolt enables the combination of both channels into a shared output. Furthermore, if one of the processor channels is inverted, it allows for the subtraction of one signal from the other.

Notes: Seeking to unapologetically tear apart the definition of a chorus pedal, Old Blood Noise Endeavors have created the BL-82 Chorus. An ode to delay time, this is a device with a variable clock control to shift between recognizable shimmering chorus and chaotic modulated delays.

Two delay lines, modulated by opposite synchronized LFOs, are combined in parallel and the timing of the delay lines, as well as the speed and depth of the LFOs, are all determined by one tactile slider. This allows you to instantly open up the modulated floodgates on the fly and go from well-known waves, to deeply unknown oceans of sound.

BL-82 is a chorus pedal, technically. It creates a swirling shimmery sound somewhere between chorus and flanger from a mono instrument signal. Its two delay lines are stretchable, and that's where the pedal's genre blurs from chorus into modulated delay into trailing pitch bending uncertainty.

The control set for BL-82 is dead simple. A Clock slider sets the timing of the entire system. The sample rate that determines signal fidelity, the centre delay time and the speed of the delay modulation are all affected as the slider slides. The interface is rounded out with feedback, volume, and mix add to an immediate experience that breaks open the boundaries of what it means to be a chorus and allows you to further craft the undulations of this mesmerizing device.

Notes: The Erica Synths Envelope Generator 2 is a re-triggerable, looping envelope generator with some unconventional features that are very useful for experimental setups. What sets the Black EG2 apart from other envelope generators is its optional GATE LENGTH setting, which allows for generating full ADSR envelopes even if a short trigger is used at the input. Likewise, in LOOP mode, the module outputs a full ADSR envelope instead of a classical AD envelope. The gate length is both manual and CV controlled, which allows for using this envelope generator in compact modular setups controlled by trigger sequencers only.

LOOP/SINGLE

Select between SINGLE SHOT or LOOP modes. When the internal gate is o , the rise and fall times are set via the A and R knobs. When the internal gate is on, all knobs have an e ect on the envelope shape.

The LED gives visual feedback on the envelope state.

Inspired by the legendary Moog CP3 mixer, the 713 tweaks the old-school discrete circuits into three stereo inputs and one mono channel, summing to stereo with adjustable feedback and clipping to add character.

ADDAC713 is the stereo version of ADDAC System's 703 Discrete Mixer.

Inspired by Moog's CP3 mixer, this is a fully discrete analogue mixer and it's not, by any means, your standard breakfast mixer, although it can behave like one.

This is a wolf in sheep's clothing. Despite its harmless looks there's a dark snarly soul behind that panel that wants to take your sounds into a realm of gritty gnarly growls.

This new version was initially thought of as a percussion mixer, with mono inputs and panning, to allow placing percussive voices in the stereo field, while keeping channel 4 in mono for low end sources like a kick drum or Bass. In the development process ADDAC System slightly changed this initial idea, adding stereo inputs for the first 3 channels, but still kept the 4th channel in mono.

All four [GAIN] controls go to extreme levels, the first 3channels also feature [PAN] controls. Feedback is used to overdrive the whole mix. As the control is turned clockwise the sound will be clipped harder until it goes completely off, this happens as feedback is increased the audio bias reference also moves up, at extreme levels it offsets the whole signal upwards until it completely goes above the top rail clipping the whole signal hence the resulting gate effect.

The [MASTER OUTPUT] sets the overall output gain of the mixer, the two leds monitor the audio output signal. The Soft clipping switch engages an anti-click circuit which adds a low pass before the output, the switch allows 3 states: Soft low pass / Off / Hard low pass.

Notes: Designed to be a highly customizable connection matrix, 3DVCA packs a boat load of utility into a small 6HP package. Four VCAs share the three macro controls: X, Y, and Z. As a group, they shape incoming and outgoing signals and emulate the coordinates of a point in 3 dimensional space. This allow the VCAs to work together in a mono, stereo, or quad configuration and accomplish a variety of mixing, crossfading, and panning functions.

Each output has a dedicated SUM input which allows an external signal to be automatically mixed into the output signal. This allows 3DVCA to daisy chain both with other mixers and other 3DVCAs. For example, you can create a full mono, stereo, or quadraphonic mix by plugging the output of each 3DVCA into the sum inputs of the next 3DVCA in the chain. Using this method, a set of 3DVCAs can create a fully voltage controlled and decentralized mixer which ties together anything from a small skiff to a monster synth.

When 3DVCA works as a crossfader or panner, the X and Y parameters follow an equal-power curve that keep output signals at the same volume no matter how many inputs are mixed together. This is in contrast to the Z parameter which follows a linear curve to always behave predictably with external modulation sources. All inputs are fully DC coupled in order to work with modulation speed signals as well as static DC voltage sequences; this means that 3DVCA can handle any sort of signal that you throw at it. All op amps in the device employ rail-to-rail inputs and outputs to enable the largest headroom when mixing many different signals together.

Notes: Flexible Eurorack signal paths under gate or trigger control: that is the basic principle behind Route 4. Consisting of a pair of complementary routing sections, it grants access to a new level of signal routing options.

The module's top section is a 4-to-1 router. Any of the four signal inputs may be selected to be mixed into the section's output, as determined by the control inputs.

Control can either be gate or latch driveniin the latter case, the signal inputs are toggled on and off by received trigger pulses. Meanwhile, the solo/multi switch determines whether the inputs are exclusive, or if multiple may be active at the same time.

With each input socket biased by a +1 V precision voltage source when left unused, gate or trigger controlled transposition of pitch sequences becomes a breeze.

On the bottom, the 1-to-4 router provides the same feature set, with a single input being routed to up to four outputs and normalisation between the sections adding some patching convenience.
