Notes: The MIDI Solutions Footswitch Controller provides a 1/4" phone jack input for connection to a footswitch or contact closure which can be used to trigger MIDI events (for eight footswitch inputs in a single rack space unit, see the MIDI Solutions F8). Triggered MIDI events are merged with incoming MIDI messages and sent to the MIDI output of the Footswitch Controller.

The Polarity of the footswitch can be determined automatically on power-up, or programmed to normally-open or normally-closed.

The Footswitch Controller is programmed by sending it MIDI System Exclusive messages (see FAQs - Programming). This can be done easily with the Processors Programming Tools software. Once programmed, its settings are retained even after power is removed. The Footswitch Controller can be reprogrammed with new settings as often as needed.

The Footswitch Controller is MIDI-powered, and requires no batteries or power supply to operate with most MIDI products (see FAQs - Power and FAQs - LED for more information). A MIDI indicator LED lights up when the product is powered and flashes when MIDI data passes through it.

Notes: The DR-60D MKII is a compact 4-track audio recorder for dedicated use with a digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) or digital single-lens mirrorless (DSLM) camera as a video system. It can be mounted directly to the camera and offers various audio inputs and outputs to allow the recording of high-resolution audio material in parallel to, but separated from the camera and its video data.

The recorder features Tascam original HDDA microphone preamps which are known for high S/N ratio, low input-referred noise and low distortion. Notes: The Pitch Fork transposes an instrument's pitch over a +/- three octave range and features three modes which allow the pitch to be transposed up, down or both, simultaneously. The pitch shift amount can be set to a fixed interval or continuously varied by an expression pedal or control voltage.

The controls are straightforward and intuitive. An 11-position Shift switch selects the maximum transposition interval ranging from D (Detune), a shift of 17 cents, through Minor 2nd, Major 2nd, Major 3rd, Perfect 4th, Perfect 5th, Major 6th, Minor 7th, 1 Octave, 2 Octaves and 3 Octaves. A three position toggle switch controls whether the pitch is transposed up, down or both. In Dual mode, two pitch-shifted signals are output. One follows the shift knob as if in the Up position while the other creates a harmony. Dual Mode settings include M3 up + P5 up, P5 up + 1 Oct down, 1 Oct up + 1 Oct down and many others. A Blend knob controls the mix of the dry signal and the effected signal, and an EXP jack enables the player to control pitch and glissando with an expression pedal.

The Latch button selects Latch or Momentary mode which affects how the footswitch and EXP input behave. In Latch mode, the footswitch toggles between effect on and buffered bypass each time it's pressed and the EXP input continuously varies pitch. In Momentary mode the effect is only on while the footswitch is depressed and when it is released the Pitch Fork goes into bypass.

In Latch mode the EXP input controls pitch shift amount, ranging from unity to the interval set by the Shift knob, and pitch varies continuously throughout the expression pedal's range. In Momentary mode the EXP input controls glissando rate for the Pitch Fork's footswitch. When the bypass footswitch is pressed, the Pitch Fork jumps from bypass to the interval set by the Shift knob. The amount of time it takes to reach that new note is the glissando rate. When the footswitch is released the pitch will return to unity at the same rate. That glissando time can vary between 4 milliseconds to two seconds depending on the heel/toe position of the expression pedal. The default glissando rate is 60 milliseconds when nothing is plugged into the EXP input.

The Pitch Fork comes equipped with an EHX 9.6DC-200mA power supply and also runs on a 9Volt battery.

Stylus replacement: Nagaoka JN-P110

The stylus replacement interval varies depending on the using conditions. But for general use at home, the reference time is between 150-200 hours in which the stylus begin to wear and the tone quality deteriorates. Recommend replacing the stylus as aerly as possible to enjoy clear tone for a long time and not to damge the disc grooves.

Notes: Receives MIDI data from a single MIDI OUT (e.g. sequencer or master keyboard) and produces identical copies at the 25 MIDI THRU sockets. These can then be connected to the MIDI INs of sound modules or other devices which require MIDI signals sent to them.

Notes: Samara is a "Swiss Army Knife" type of module, intended to serve the most common voltage and audio signal processing purposes such as attenuation, offsetting, mixing, inverting, and even basic waveshaping. Samara features four channels, each with two inputs and an attenuator, additional switchable offset generators, four voltage level and polarity indicators, two adders with switchable scale, and a precision four-channel processor that selects minimum and maximum voltage.

Notes: This useful module is a Bipolar Mixer, DC voltage source and Linear DC coupled VCA.

- With no input to channel 1 the Input 1 pot becomes a voltage source with a range of +/- 6V.
- The control pot and input for channel 4 can be switched to become an offset control and/or a second CV input for the VCA.
- Input 3 has 2x gain, so it can amplify lower level CV's too.
- All inputs are bipolar, which means that either non-inverted or inverted version of the input signal can be added to the mix depending upon the Input control being turned clockwise (non-inverting) or anti-clockwise (inverted). The 12'o'clock position is zero.

Notes: The Shifty is essentially a combination of four sample and hold stages, a sequential gate and sequencer controller. This collection of functions allows for some specific and useful utility application.

One of the primary uses for Shifty is to take a monophonic sequence source and route each new note of the sequence to up to four different synthesizer voices in a specific pattern. In this way you can create pseudo polyphonic sequences since each voice can be triggered to play and sustain while the next voice int the sequence gets triggered. Another term for this is hocketing.

The other main application of the Shifty is to function as an Analog Shift Register. In this mode each new gate input received causes the current set of pitches to be shifted to new output locations as a new one is added and the oldest one is replaced. This can be an interesting way to create chords that are up to four stacked notes when used with a pitch sequence source that has a harmonious series of notes (e.g. a pentatonic scale works really well). Even just using two of the outputs will yield very interesting melodic interplay and is an excellent way to make a simple sequence much more complex and interesting.

In a more basic way the Shifty could be used as a simple Sample/Track and Hold module or as a sequential gate.

Notes: Merges the data from up to eight separate MIDI sources (e.g. master keyboards, controllers, computers etc.) into a single MIDI data stream which appears at both the MIDI out sockets. Merges all MIDI data including MIDI Clock, MIDI time code and SysEx (see the manual for merging rules). Notes: Goldring D12GX stylus is designed to fit the current Goldring 1012GX phono cartridge or old model 1010 or 1012, a direct replacement when your stylus is worn - saving the cost of buying a whole new cartridge. Goldring cartridges generally last many hours until the stylus needs replacing. An indication of wear is a "duller" sound.

Notes: Tallin is a dual voltage controlled amplifier (VCA) with overdrive, offering some unusual control features and a range of attractive tonal characteristics. Each of the two identical channels offers two simultaneously available inputs for voltage control over signal attenuation or gain, with linear and exponential response to CV. Volume control knobs offer manual gain settings ranging from fully closed (-80dB) up to +18dB. A colour LED indicator displays output signal levels. A soft-clip circuit avoids harsh clipping distortion, while a switchable overdrive circuit offers two carefully crafted distortion responses, simulating the sound of classic tube amplifiers.

Notes: Hat is a hi-hat cymbal with a wild side. Finding something unique is easy with a blend of sounds ranging from robotic to metallic. At its core are three unique sound sources made up of six oscillators, a noise generator, and a number of filters. Sizzle affects each source independently, adjusting oscillator and filter frequencies, allowing for a broad range of sounds. Notes: 'MUM M8' is an 8hp Eurorack low pass filter building on the filter design used in the classic Akai S950 12 bit sampler with the addition of resonance, voltage control, clipped saturation and a dedicated VCA.

The low pass filter gives the recognisable super smooth vacuum like tone sucking sound which works magic on complex sources. The addition of clipped overdrive and intentionally aggressive self-oscillating resonance compliment the smooth filter core by juxtaposing it into more wasp like territory with acidic squeals and a more gritty sound.
Mum M8 features dual voltage control with attenuation (and inversion) of filter cut off and voltage control of resonance together with dual audio inputs - one of which includes a VCA to with the capability to aid overdriving signals into the filter core.

The filter core is a 6th Order Butterworth switched capacitor type design featuring an analog core but controlled by a high speed digital clock. This produces the characteristic smooth sounding filter but, as with the original S950, has a relatively high minimum cut off as to avoid 'clock bleed' into the filter output from the digital control. This minimum cut of point (and introduction of bleed if required) can be controlled via trimmers on the rear of the module (see calibration chapter). It is not unusual for there still to be some low-level artefacts from the clock present, particularly during filter sweeps - these add to the filters character.

The motivation for the module came from discussing filters in classic samplers with the artist Jack Adams - aka Mumdance. Jack suggested investigating the S950's filter well known as for it use in classic use in early jungle and hardcore. From that point onward Jack provided inspiration, help and feedback in the development of the filter. Big up Mumdance.

Notes: Verb is a lush stereo reverb with a full feature set and superior audio quality. A wide range of reverb times take your sound from small room to never-ending concert hall.

CV over mix allows dynamic movement between the dry and reverberated sound, and the dampening control lets you dial in the perfect timbre for the wet signal. Whether you need a traditional reverb for an FX send or an esoteric sound design tool, Verb can take you there. Get lost in space with Verb.

Notes: Module A-108 is a completely new voltage-controlled low pass filter based on the well-known transistor ladder (Moog ladder). The module has internally an 8-stage low pass filter with different slopes available: 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, 36, 42 and 48 dB per octave. In addition, it features a band pass output (i.e. band pass with transistor ladder). In the factory, the 4 low pass outputs of the A-108 are internally connected to the filter stages 6, 12, 24 and 48dB.

Resonance (Emphasis or Q) can be adjusted manually right up to self-oscillation, in which case the filter will behave like a sine wave oscillator. The A-108 features an external feedback input that enables the insertion of additional modules into the feedback path (e.g. VCA for voltage-controlled resonance or phaser/frequency shifter for phase/frequency shifting effects). The socket is normalized and internally connected to the 48dB low pass output if no cable is inserted into the feedback socket.

The frequency can be adjusted manually, or by voltage control. Three CV inputs (CV1, CV2, CV3) are available. CV2 and CV3 are equipped with attenuators.

The filter audio input is very sensitive so that distortion - if desired - is possible even with normal A-100 levels (e.g. VCO output). Self-oscillation will break off at high distortion levels as the internal feedback signal is drown out by the distorted audio signal. This feature may intentionally be used to create new sounds.

In combination with the Voltage Controlled Mixer A-135 and the Morphing Controller A-144 a filter with voltage-controlled slope can be realized (i.e. controlling the slope from 6dB to 48dB via CV).

Notes: The Z4000 NS is a snappy voltage-controlled analog envelope generator with a built-in CV processor for scaling, inverting, and voltage-controlled deviating of the envelope shape. The Z4000 generates an envelope made of the four classic segments: Attack, Decay, Sustain and Release, in which each segment can be manually set using knobs or dynamically set under voltage control.

Control knobs for the Attack, Decay, and Release segments are scaled. The first 0-50% of the knobs rotation is dedicated to high resolution adjustment in the millisecond range.

The output levels are fully adjustable with signals that can reach up to 10V in either polarity and can be mirrored into the opposite polarity or clipped using the voltage-controlled deviater-scaler. A bi-color LED indicates intermediate values in both polarities and their crossfade state.

The Attack slope switch allows selection of a logarithmic or exponential curve for the Attack segment. This subtle effect helps further the fine adjustment of the Attack segment slope. A Shoot button is provided to let you fire the envelope manually. The Z4000 also provides a retrigger input allowing you to create legato notes when using a classic keyboard interface.
