Review: Having built up his reputation via a series of digital-only EPs, young grime producer Sir Hiss finally makes his first appearance on wax. There's been plenty of hype for the Bristol artist's debut vinyl two-tracker, too, with the few early copies that landed in stories selling out in record time. Listening to the clips, it's easy to hear why it's so sought-after. A-side "Danny Uzi Vert" is a deliciously melodious and summery affair, with accordion style melodies rising above warming chords, rich bass and an undulating, hybrid grime/dubstep rhythm track. Turn to the flip for "Taj Mahal", a more straight-forward club rocker built around bustling, swinging beats, jangly guitar samples, whistling melodies and notably weighty bass.
