Koma Elektronik Chromaplane Analogue & Polyphonic Electromagnetic Synthesiser
Cat: 1050564

Analogue & polyphonic electromagnetic synthesiser
Notes: The Chromaplane is an instrument created in collaboration between KOMA Elektronik & Passepartout Duo.

The Chromaplane is played using two electromagnetic pickup coils, that are moved over its surface to listen to a cloud of electromagnetic fields produced by the instrument. These ten fields are represented by small indicators on the instrument's surface.

The Chromaplane is fully polyphonic, meaning that all ten of the instrument's analogue square wave oscillators are always sounding - this makes the instrument ideal for both sculpting complex drones, and playing agile melodies. Each field can be tuned using its corresponding adjustment screw. The oscillators are additionally organized into three rows, each with a switch that drops that row's pitch one octave.

The timbre of the Chromaplane can be further shaped using its internal VCF, a 4-pole low pass filter that darkens the instrument's sound and is also modulated by the internal audio signal, allowing for rich harmonic sounds and timbres reminiscent of frequency modulation. A lo-fi delay/echo effect with CV controlled time adds a sense of ambiance and rhythmicity to the dry signal's output.

The Chromaplane also features an external audio input, allowing the player to route other sounds to one electromagnetic field on the instrument's surface. The instrument's envelope output can also be used to modulate parameters on the instrument, or on other hardware synthesizers.

The Chromaplane includes: The Chromaplane itself, 2 pickup coils, 1 tuning screwdriver, 1 power adapter that works worldwide, 1 manual

Cre8audio Assembler Vintage Analogue Audio Mixer
Cat: 1081038

A synth-focused vintage style audio mixer for the studio.
Notes: Introducing Assembler, a synth-focused audio mixer meticulously engineered to deliver unmatched vintage mixing console sound and intuitive, hands-on control. Developed in partnership with the renowned Pittsburgh Modular Synthesizers team, Assembler builds on the rich history and sonic warmth of classic analog audio mixers while embracing a modern workflow designed specifically for contemporary electronic artists.

The idea behind Assembler was not only to provide a super flexible tool for mixing live or in the studio, but also to provide a sound sculpting tool that could add depth, complexity, and with its special Pittsburgh-designed circuits, help you even to sound better!

Inspired by the sound of iconic analog consoles that shaped decades of music production, Assembler captures the essence of vintage mixers famed for their warmth, character, and dynamic response through tonal shaping and analog tape saturation emulation. These custom circuits, meticulously engineered for Assembler by Pittsburgh Modular utilize signal contouring and soft compression to unify the overall mix. This process emulates the signal chain cherished in vintage recordings, adding the warmth, cohesion, and character that other mixers often lack. The result is a better sounding modern electronic music mixer.

Assembler's ten audio inputs are split into three distinct mixer channel types to seamlessly integrate with various audio scenarios and workflows, however all ten channels have several features in common. Each input includes a powerful preamp capable of up to 20x gain boost, ideal for boosting line level signals, subtle clarity enhancement, or aggressive signal saturation. Three assignable aux sends add flexible audio processing options to each channel. Three segment LED meters, independent headphone Cue, and channel Mutes allow for precise and comprehensive monitoring. Channel 1 and 2 add extensive tonal control with vintage-inspired high and low EQ knobs, each offering i15 dB of boost or cut while all six mono inputs include a dedicated pan control. Two sets of stereo inputs take advantage of the powerful preamps and assignable aux sends to work with both Eurorack and line level signals. This allows for seamless integration of a wide variety of electronic instruments.

The Assembler offers significant flexibility with its three assignable aux send channels, allowing effortless integration of external effects like reverbs and delays or functioning as sub-mix channels. Specifically, two stereo returns and one mono return, each with independent gain adjustments (up to 2.7x gain), enable both creative experimentation and professional-grade signal blending.

Assembler prioritizes ease of use with its intuitive one-knob-per-function design. Every feature, EQ adjustment, auxiliary routing, panning, or level setting, is immediately accessible, providing a seamless, frustration-free mixing experience. Users new to audio mixers will appreciate its straightforward operation, while seasoned artists will instantly feel at home with familiar analog mixer functionalities clearly laid out.

Equally adept at managing both line-level instruments and modular signals, Assembler effortlessly integrates into any studio or live performance setup. A dedicated headphone output with a separate cue mix ensures detailed and reliable monitoring in live situations, enabling performers to preview and adjust their sounds confidently.

Assembler purposefully eliminates extraneous features found in many modern modular mixers, focusing solely on superior audio quality, intuitive user experience, and robust reliability. The result is a professional-quality audio mixer that offers an exceptional analog sound experience at a significantly accessible price point compared to competing products.

Assembler continues this tradition by seamlessly blending revered analog sound processing with modern modular flexibility, and it will also self-oscillate for all the noise artists, if that is important.

Cre8audio Boom Chick Pure Analogue Drum Machine
Cat: 1081031

Analogue drum machine offering a wide range of sonic possibilites and a tactile user experience.
Notes: Introducing Boom Chick, a revolutionary analog drum machine built on the warmth and character of Pittsburgh Modular's newly designed analog drum circuits. These powerful, expressive percussion voices are paired with an advanced sequencer designed for intuitive creativity and deep rhythmic exploration. Inspired by the hands-on performability of iconic analog drum machines, Boom Chick redefines analog percussion with exceptional flexibility and sonic precision, tailored for modern musicians and producers.

Compact yet incredibly powerful, the Boom Chick ensures frustration-free jamming and tweaking through its intuitive knob-per-function layout and straightforward interface conventions. It's hands-on, immediate, and built for musicians who want a drum machine that feels alive. Turn up the dirt, push the limits, and make some serious noise.

Created by the Pittsburgh Modular Synthesizers team, Boom Chick features five meticulously crafted drum voices, each designed for maximum flexibility and expressiveness. The sounds are raw, dynamic, and laser sharp, built to drive and slice through any mix. The electricity creating the analog sounds is directly shaped using the knob-per-function interface. No menus, no hassle, just pure, tactile beat-making analog magic at your fingertips. By focusing on creative, new analog designs, Pittsburgh Modular ensured that Boom Chick doesn't just mimic the past, but kick starts a new future of analog beats.

Every voice has been meticulously engineered for maximum sonic impact, making Boom Chick a true drum synthesizer, not just a drum machine. Starting with a massive bottom end, the Kick drum sculpts a specialized sine-wave oscillator using gritty overdrive, pitch manipulation, and a precise, percussive envelope allowing you to dial in everything from low and long or clean and punchy rhythms to aggressive, overdriven beats. The Snare drum showcases the power of modern analog with powerful snare hits that can mimic a physical snare drum or venture into creative new territories. Drum channels 1 and 2 offer even deeper sound-design possibilities. By utilizing two oscillators, wave shaping, frequency modulation, and noise you can generate everything from subtle nuanced percussion to wild, expressive sonic textures. Toms, claps, snares, kicks, cymbals, rim shots, cowbells, congas, claves, space sounds, and outer space sounds can all be dialed in and reimagined. Hats utilize a custom oscillator noise matrix to create crisp, bright metallic tones ideal for intricate rhythmic patterns.

Boom Chick's sequencer is designed to offer profound depth while maintaining intuitive simplicity. It features two powerful modes: Step Mode, for meticulous programming of each drum step, and Live Mode, allowing real-time rhythm creation and expressive performance. Tools such as Step Shift enable quick and precise timing adjustments for intricate rhythmic patterns, while Step Roll and Chance introduce engaging complexity and variation. Timing functions like Humanize, Swing, and Quantize provide refined control over groove and rhythm, allowing for perfectly locked or naturally loose-feeling sequences. Swing adds groove by shifting even steps slightly behind the beat, while Humanize introduces subtle timing variations to simulate natural playing styles. With up to 64-step sequences and polyrhythm capabilities, Boom Chick encourages experimentation by removing the boundaries to live performance and making beats.

At the heart of Boom Chick is a 6-track sequencer that gives you deep rhythmic control while staying easy to use. With design inspiration taken from Pittsburgh's Voltage Research Lab 2, Boom Chick's sequencer will take you from quick jams to mind-bending polyrhythms. This sequencer is not only designed to keep up with you, but also propel you to new territory.

Boom Chick is modular-friendly, MIDI-capable, and performance-ready. This makes it a perfect addition to any studio or live rig. Individual trigger inputs and individual drum outs allow each drum to be sent to a mixer or DAW separately for external processing or recording. MIDI in and out to send and receive clock, trigger drums, or sequence external percussion. Analog clock in and out allows Boom Chick to easily integrate with Eurorack setups and other gear. Separate Line and Headphone outputs make personal jams, recording, or live performances easy.

Qu-Bit Bloom v2 Fractal Sequencer Module
Cat: 1086697

Updated version of Qu-Bit's Bloom sequencer module, boasting 3 channels with 64 steps per channel.
Notes: Inspire new growth in your musical garden with Bloom, a fractal sequencer capable of generating infinitely evolving melodies.

In its latest iteration, Bloom is a powerful 3-channel, 64-step CV and gate sequencer with a plethora of additional features and configurability compared to its predecessor. Apply clock-synced ratchets per step, dial in the Mutation range for random note variation, and even save and recall your Branches with your saved sequence!

Each channel now has a new output: Mod! The Mod output is a third, modulation-focused output that stays in sync with your melodic CV and rhythmic Gate outputs. Patch up dubstep-style filter madness, build sequenced amplitude or panning variations into your signal, or send a no-frills LFO that syncs perfectly with your patch!

Bloom's roots are grounded in algorithmic variation and probability. Sequences can be dynamically resized and rotated, while notes can receive ornamental musical trills or arpeggios. There are also new probabilistic controls beyond Mutate, including random step muting, ratcheting, and slewing!

Bloom's front panel now features a Reseed button, which dice-rolls a whole new sequence for you, as well as a MIDI output that sends all sequence data through a 3.5mm TRS MIDI jack!

Beyond the front panel controls, Narwhal brings even greater flexibility to Bloom. Set custom settings, use a full sequence designer interface to import sequences into your Bloom, and so much more.

Plant the seeds of your next patch with Bloom.

Polyend Mess Multi-Effects Step Sequencer Pedal
Cat: 1087266

Multi effects pedal featuring 120 high quality stereo effects and a 16 step sequencer.
Notes: MESS is a pedal that opens up a new world of possibilities. MESS blends traditional sound shaping with generative and performance power with four independent effect tracks can befreely assigned to over 120 studio-quality effects, all with sequenceable control over multiple parameters. Start a sequence and create entirely new textures that evolve in time - from lush ambient washes to glitchy chaos. Or switch off the sequencer and use MESS as a powerful, traditional multi-effects pedal.

Mess features 120 high-quality, stereo effects, ranging from traditional to the experimental. Choose from analog-style modulation and time-based staples or innovative spectralizers andnew ways to use granular engines.

MESS's 16-step grid pad is a real time sequencer and editor - with intuitive hands-on control that rewards experimentation without an advanced degree in sound design required. Sequence effect parameters, start or stop sequences without cutting out the effects, or build complex
polyrhythmic patterns that evolve as you play.

Each track runs independently, with detailed control over parameters, time divisions and length .Create slow spectral sweeps by slowing a sequencer down to 1/16th of the chosen tempo while increasing the speed of a microlooper for chaotic glitchy stutters all in the same patch. MESS has the tools to build-up textures or tear them apart.

MESS turns effects into an instrument. Unlike conventional multi-effects units that rely on staticpresets, MESS offers dynamic, programmable, and performative sound design. This effectspowerhouse is equally at home on pedalboards, in modular synth setups, or integrated intoDAW-less setups making it ideal for guitarists, synthesists, drum machine enthusiasts, and sound designers.

This all-in-one, open-source, customizable device is designed to empower aspiring musicians, seasoned creators, and makers. It isn't just an instrument-it's your gateway to the world of music production and audio synths.

PGB-1 has open-source stock firmware that makes it a playful and powerful groove box. It allows you to craft complex musical pieces with drums, bass, lead, samples, reverb, bitcrusher, overdrive, and others.

Orchestrated by an advanced sequencer with conditional steps, repeats/ratcheting, pattern chaining, chord sequencing, song mode, live sequencing effects, and more.

PGB-1 is Wee Noise Makers' response to the current landscape of entry-level hardware synthesizers and groove boxes. In recent years, we saw a plethora of new electronic instruments marketed as accessible, affordable, and designed for beginners. Yet, often these instruments can feel limited, tying users to a specific sound or ecosystem. These limits sometimes feel artificial, pushing you to combine multiple products of the same line to actually make meaningful music. At the same time leading to frustrating sequencing, connection, and mixing issues that defeat the portability and playfulness of the instruments.

With the PGB-1, Wee Noise Makers wanted to address all these shortcomings, bringing you an instrument that is:

All-in-one: you only need one device to craft complete music pieces
Powerful: Drums, bass, lead, samples, etc. with advanced sequencing features
Truly pocket-size: 10 x 6.6 x 1.5 cm, smaller footprint than a smartphone
Hackable: Designed for customization, open-source firmware, and compatible with several programming languages (including Python)
Creativity should not be limited by the tools you have, but empowered by them. With the PGB-1, Wee Noise Makers are dedicated to creating a platform that encourages innovation and experimentation. Whether you are a musician looking to explore new sounds, a developer eager to create unique software, or a hobbyist who enjoys tweaking and building.

PGB-1 is designed to be customized and modified to your taste. The front panel is a bare PCB, designed with the open-source software Kicad. The production file will be available so that anyone can make its own version with custom graphics and get it manufactured for a few bucks.

PGB-1 is also hackable with CircuitPython, C\C++, and Ada support for programming your own synthesizers, video games, or any audio-based projects.

By making the PGB-1 open source, a sandbox is provided for the audio community. Users can delve into the code, modify existing features, or add entirely new functionalities. This flexibility not only enhances the capabilities of the PGB-1 but also fosters a collaborative environment where users can share their creations and learn from each other.

Additionally, Wee Noise Makers have set up a dedicated Discord server for all PGB-1 users and enthusiasts to discuss, share, and contribute to the growing ecosystem.

Open-source software is not as common in the audio industry, but with this project, the aim is to follow the path of great manufacturers such as Mutable Instruments or Winterbloom.

Tesseract Smith 8x8 Programmable Matrix Module
Cat: 1087289

input/output module that can be used to store presets in your modular setup or to create more layers of modulation in your setup - 12HP
Notes: Smith: it's an 8 inputs & 8 outputs precision buffered matrix with presets. Each of the 8 outputs can take the signal from any of the 8 inputs, allowing over 16 million possible combinations.

This is not a mixer, the same input can be routed to many outputs, but several inputs can't be present at the same output simultaneously. The module works with both audio and CV signals, ins & outs have i10 volts range and minimum offset (1 millivolt approx.), which makes it perfect for distributing V/Oct signals too.

8 scenes that can be accessed through the dedicated push buttons but also by CV and trigger. 8 banks (with 8 scenes each, 64 scenes per preset). 8 persistent presets (with 8 banks of 8 scenes each).

This module can be used to store 'presets' for your live setup, allowing patch changes and easy rerouting signals with literally just pressing a button.

Another (more chaotic) way to use it is to plug several modulation sources to the inputs (such as envelopes, LFOs, sequenced CVs) and several modulation destinations to the outputs (filter cutoff, PWM, VCAs...). If you want to introduce a variation in the sound, select a different scene or directly randomize the current one to drastically change 'what is modulating what'.

Using audio sources can lead us to interesting territories too, sequencing waveform changes or using different processors (filter, distortion, folder...). Keep in mind that the switch performs pretty fast and the signal is passed without any modification (to preserve its accuracy, which is pretty important when using the module for v/oct) so with audio, the switching may be clicky. This depends on the sound source too, with 'dirty' ones there's no problem but with clean ones, like low pitched sine waves, it will be.

BlaknBlu Oscar Tria Triple Mode Stereo VCO Module
Cat: 1081156

VCO module that functions as a stereo oscillator, a super saw/square/triangle/sub and a chord engine,
Notes: Oscar Tria packs a lot of VCO into 10HP. There are three main modes described below.

Green Mode:

A 'traditional' stereo oscillator. In Green Mode you get the usual three waveforms - saw, triangle and square (with variable pulse width, of course) but you can continuously vary the waveform between the three. For instance, by turning the waveform knob to be just to the saw side of triangle, you get a sound very much like the Minimoog's 'shark tooth'. Green mode also gives you a square wave sub oscillator - one octave below the main oscillators - and a sub sub, two octaves below. Oscar Tria is stereo, of course, so you can detune one oscillator for a rich stereo image - or sum the two outputs to mono and you have two oscillators with two subs, for a BIG sound. Green mode also features through zero FM, and hard sync.

Yellow Mode:

Super-saw! And super-square! And super-triangle! With a sub (of course). Yellow mode allows you to control the number of oscillators making up the super-whatever, from one (not really super) to 24! Again, being stereo you get up to 12 oscillators in one channel and 12 in the other. Add the sub for a HUGE sound.

Orange Mode:

This is a chord engine, with 20 selectable chords. There are controls to select which chord you want and how many notes are played (over two octaves). CV control allows you to set pitch and chord independently, so you can set up a polyphonic sequence, for instance. Again, the output is stereo with detune control of one output.

Neuzeit Drop Snapshot-Based MIDI Control Center for Live Performance
Cat: 1089439 Rel: 22 Aug 25

Snapshot-based MIDI control center for live performance.
Notes: Which live performer doesn't know this situation: You build the tension to immeasurable heights, add another filter here, three more effects there, hands go up in the air, everyone's waiting for the big drop and then you realize: You can't find your way out of the chaos you've created!

The sweat on your forehead drips onto your equipment, and in a firework of spraying sparks, your devices and your fans say goodbye forever.

This doesn't have to happen!

With Drop, you can now map your MIDI equipment across devices and easily store different controller positions as snapshots. During performance, you can jump back to these snapshots at any time (JUMP mode) and trigger them. All of this can be quantized and with variable fade time, allowing you to use a snapshot for slowly building tension and automatically have multiple controllers move simultaneously.

A particularly useful feature, is firing snapshots in DROP mode at exactly the right moment, precisely at the end of a pattern of, for example, 8 bars. For this purpose, Drop features an integrated master clock that counts any number between 1 and 32 bars (= cycle). In DROP mode, you can schedule a snapshot to trigger at the end of a cycle, build tension and go crazy on effects until then, and lean back as the snapshot automatically turns the controllers at exactly the right moment, bringing your live set back to solid ground.

Saving and recalling snapshots is quick and simple even during live situations, allowing you to work spontaneously with new snapshots on-the-fly during your performance. The LED buttons always provide clear visual feedback about what's happening. If you want to plan further ahead, you can prepare sequences of DROP snapshots according to your song arrangement in the studio. Then use CHAIN mode to automatically trigger them sequentially on stage. Multiple chains and banks of snapshots are available, allowing you to configure your live set according to a song-by-song structure.

As with our Warp Synthesizer, Drop has two main operating levels: The PLAY level with direct hands-on access to the most important parameters, and the MENU level for studio configuration. The PLAY level is reduced to the essentials, such as the clear progress display (how many bars until the DROP at the end of the cycle), similar to a countdown clock. The buttons can be used for beat jumps, allowing you to spontaneously extend or shorten a break. Also, the number of bars per cycle and the quantization behavior can be changed on-the-fly. Everything is easily and directly accessible without submenus or hidden button combinations.

Mapping is done in the MENU level, directly on the device. No additional software is required, ensuring Drop isn't dependent on outdated operating systems in the future. Copy/paste/move functions and MIDI-Learn help with quick setup. Furthermore, an integrated MIDI monitor allows recording and analyzing incoming and outgoing messages. All possible MIDI commands are supported, including 14-bit CCs (NRPN), Program Change, Bank Select, Aftertouch, Pitchbend, and of course CCs and Notes.

Each controller enables macro mapping by sending up to eight different MIDI messages simultaneously to any MIDI output port. Individual curves can be assigned to each destination. This allows you to control multiple devices simultaneously with one knob, giving you a manageable number of highly expressive controls for your live set.
MIDI messages can also be assigned to snapshots, so that, for example, device programs and banks can be changed automatically in sync with a snapshot DROP.

On the output side, four MIDI In/Out ports via TRS jacks (types A and B) and two USB-C ports are available. Device and host modes are automatically detected, allowing connection not only to synths and grooveboxes but also to external keyboards, two laptops, or other MIDI controllers via USB.

Thanks to the multiple outputs, each connected device gets its own dedicated MIDI port with full data rate and all 16 MIDI channels, plus its own independent MIDI clock. This can even be adjusted individually for each output down to the millisecond, ensuring all devices run in perfect sync. Additionally, there are two CV outputs that can also be used for clock signals or as freely assignable 0-5V CV voltages. If one of the receiving devices accidentally falls out of sync, e.g., by accidentally pressing the stop/play button, Drop offers a quickly accessible resync button that resynchronizes all devices at the beginning of the next bar. As a master clock generator, there's also a nudge function for manual beat matching (DJ-style), or you can simply synchronize Drop to an incoming MIDI clock or a 0-5V clock from your modular system.

Another function is the reception and forwarding of incoming MIDI signals. Via the MIDI merge function, incoming messages can be filtered by channel and distributed to the connected devices. This allows a master sequencer that outputs sequences for all devices on multiple channels to be connected and appropriately routed through Drop. Drop adds the MIDI messages from its own controllers (MIDI merge), so the receiver gets the sum of both signals. You can go even further and integrate an external MIDI keyboard, allowing you to play some of your own notes in addition to the sequencer. Such routing was previously mainly reserved for software solutions, but now you can save having a laptop on stage, as Drop takes over this hub function.
The silicone buttons for snapshots can also be used as a 4x4 clip launcher for Ableton Live integration, parallel to snapshot control. Simply load the corresponding script from below into the appropriate folder on your computer. Drop now offers navigation through Ableton clips with RGB LED feedback, play/stop functionality for clips and tracks, scene triggering, and even the ability to start a scene in sync with a snapshot DROP.

Even without Ableton, the button matrix doubles as a convenient mini keyboard, allowing you to trigger notes on your favorite synth without lugging around extra gear. It includes practical features like customizable scales and transpose functions to enhance your playing flexibility.

Drop can be powered via USB-C, allowing it to be elegantly connected to a laptop with just one USB-C cable. However, an external power supply is also included to effectively prevent the notorious ground loops in branched USB setups. The power supply also contains globally compatible power adapters (EU, UK, US, AU), making it ready for global tours. The package also includes a USB-C cable, a USB-C to USB-A adapter, and two MIDI-TRS cables with 3.5mm stereo jacks.

The solid metal housing, metal faders and encoders, and high-quality soft-touch buttons guarantee long-lasting enjoyment and professional touring reliability.

WMDevices Skorpion Waveform Reanimator Module
Cat: 1089360

8-stage analogue wavefolder that allows you to precisely mangle simple waveforms into complex shapes with a fun, hands on fader interface
Notes: After five years of conceptualization, development, stress, company destruction and relocation, redesign, existential questions, prototyping, and willpower, WMD's Skorpion is ready to decimate and reanimate whatever you throw at it -- creating goosebump worthy sounds you've never heard before.

Skorpion is the epitome of WMD's ethos, "New Sounds, Maximum Experience". Painstakingly designed UI, all the CV I/O and controls you could ask for, and a broad spectrum of subtle to 100% NOT subtle swarms of harmonics, chaos, and character. This module is packed full of features to provide continuously explorable fun whether you are experimenting or meticulously crafting a sound that is 100% yours.

Skorpion builds on WMD's's long pedigree of experimental module designs, exploring a new method of wavefolding using thresholds and target voltages to control a powerful vector core. The design process has been very technically challenging, using high speed cmos and precise analog design with hybrid digital overlay for a solid UI.

Skorpion is an 8-stage analog wavefolder that allows you to precisely mangle simple waveforms into complex shapes with a fun, hands on fader interface. Taking the concept many steps further, internal modulation sources allow for macro animation of multiple parameters simultaneously, creating rich, evolving harmonic movement never heard before in hardware.

The Controls

The SHAPE and SLOPE controls allow for smoother or harsher added harmonics, and the 1V/OCT CV input is required for tracking timbre across notes.

FOLD controls the input gain of the signal, causing it to hit each of the eight THRESHOLDS causing a reversal in the output at each point. The signal can be driven towards one of three TARGETs: 5V, the Sliders, or the signal at the CLIP jack (normalled from IN).

SLOPE controls the baseline rate of the output, the higher the slope, the higher the harmonics. The overall slope rate is modified by 1V/OCT and SHAPE.

SHIFT is the classical vertical shift that makes the wavefolder sound like a chorus with subtle modulation.

SHAPE is a feedback control affecting the slope rate of the wavefolder. Eight different sources are available for feedback. The SYM switch decides whether the modulation is applied symmetrically when above or below 0V.

OUTPUT controls whats at the output jacks, the DRY signal, the WET signal, or a mid side stereo processed WIDE signal. WIDE is generated using a second vector core with a variable short delay. If all THRESHOLDS are inactive, a gate is normaled here. The intention being that if the input signal is too low to cause any folding, the OUTPUT circuit is pulled DRY so that you never get silence from the Skorpion.

The EQUALIZE THOLDs switch disables the sliders and forces an equally spaced threshold more akin to classic wavefolders. Modulation is disabled in this mode. Also controllable with a jack.

TARGET ORDER determines which slider is selected when the threshold is activated. Basically, it allows for a different order on the way up as way down producing pleasingly different timbres when using the sliders for target.

SYNC has three modes, OFF in the center. HARD which resets the vector core to 0V at every zero crossing of the input waveform. and SOFT which vectors core toward 0V at the current rate.

HALT IF TARG=0 makes the vector core draw a horizontal line if the TARGET slider for that threshold is at 0 (fully down).

ANIMATION - Sliders, Spring Action Switch, and Macro Envelope:
There are 13 total internal modulation sources. A primary MACRO ENVELOPE, eight (8) Threshold LFOs, and four (4) CV modulators that normal to the FOLD, SLOPE, SHIFT, and SHAPE attenuverters. The CV modulators can be LFOs or Envelopes.

The switch rests in the center, making the sliders control the THRESHOLDs. When held to the left, the sliders set the TARGETs. When held to the right, the sliders control the MACRO SETUP detailed below.

The MACRO ENVELOPE is an Attack/Hold/Release style envelope. A gate here will start the envelope, lighting the LED blue, while the envelopes level will glow red. The times for Attack and Release are controlled in the MACRO SETUP mode by the first two sliders.

The MACRO ENVELOPE modulates the amplitude of all LFOs. If the CV modulators are set as envelopes, then the gate will start the envelopes, but they otherwise operate independently.

MACRO SETUP:

Parameters are modified in MACRO SETUP by holding the switch to the right and moving respective sliders.

Macro Envelope's Attack Time
Macro Envelope's Release Time
Threshold LFO Amount
Threshold LFO Rates
Fold LFO/ENV Rate/Time - CV(5)
Slope LFO/ENV Rate/Time - CV(6)
Shift LFO/ENV Rate/Time - CV(7)
Shape LFO/ENV Rate/Time - CV(8)

Flame Maander-M Wavetable Synthesiser with Analogue Filterbank & Sequencer
Cat: 1092105 Rel: 06 Jun 25

An updated version of the Flame Maander Wavetable synth, streamlined and more affordable with new features.
Notes: A Streamlined Classic! Maander-M Wavetable Synth with Analog Filterbank & Sequencer

The Flame MAANDER-M is a compact reimagining of a well-regarded classic from the Flame lineup - now more affordable and streamlined, but still packed with the same sonic depth. At its core is a wavetable synth engine, fed into the 12-channel analog bandpass filter bank, controlled by the internal pattern sequencer.

Sound sources include a polyphonic wavetable and FM oscillator, an analog white noise generator and an external audio input. The internal sequencer offers one polyphonic note track (up to 4-voice chords) and 14 mono tracks. The latter are dedicated to the filter channels, the audio input, and the noise source. Each track has its own VCA with individual envelope control and is accessible via MIDI notes.

Patterns can be created and saved as patches, and played live with ease. The built-in arpeggiator and keyboard scaler make the MAANDER a powerful tool for live jamming and generative sequencing. Updates, patch management, and wavetable loading are handled conveniently via MIDI SysEx.

New in this version: direct oscillator output, stereo noise output, and stereo audio input. Maander comes fully mounted in a powered 56HP wooden skiff to get started right away.

Doepfer A-155-2 Miniature Analogue Sequencer Module (vintage edition)
Cat: 1092096 Rel: 06 Jun 25

Compact 8-step analog sequencer module - 12HP
Notes: Module A-155-2 is a small, very compact designed analog sequencer with a lot of features. The sequence length is 8 steps. Each step has available a control for the adjustment of the control voltage for this step and an illuminated momentary switch (button). The buttons are used in the standard running mode to turn on/off the gate of the step in question (button illuminated = gate on, not illuminated = gate off). In combination with other controls at the bottom of the front panel the buttons are used for additional functions: depending on the position of the Program toggle switch the button Function is used to program the length of the sequence (switch position Limit), the running direction (switch position Direct.) or to call up the preset management (switch position Preset)

When function Direct (Direction) is selected these running modes are available:

Up

Down

2 x Up (each step is played twice with the normal tempo, not to be confused with Ratcheting x2, see below)

2 x Down (each step is played twice with the normal tempo, not to be confused with Ratcheting x2, see below)

Pendulum type 1 (start and end step are played twice)

2 x Pendulum type 1 (each step is played twice with the normal tempo, start and end step are played 4x)

Pendulum type 2 (start and end step are played once)

Random (Rnd)

When function Preset is selected the illuminated buttons are used to call up one of the 8 presets. In each preset these parameters are stored: active steps, running direction, length of the sequence, ratcheting. To call up one of the 8 stored presets one has to push and hold the button Function and then operate short-time one of the buttons 1 - 8 while the toggle switch Program is in position Preset. To store the present paramaters in one of the 8 presets the procedure is similar but one has to operate one of the buttons 1 - 8 for a longer time (approx 3 seconds).

Depending on the position of the Program toggle switch the Ratcheting button is used to program the ratcheting feature (x2, x3, x4) individually for each step of the sequence (toggle switch Program in position Rx2, Rx3 or Rx4). In case that at the step in question another ratcheting is already programmed (eg x2 or x3 when x4 is chosen) the other ratcheting is overwritten (kind of radio button function between the ratchetings x2, x3 and x4). Details about the ratcheting function are explained at the module A-160-5.

The button Start/Stop is used to start or stop the sequence manually. Button Reset sets the sequence to the first step. For this also the external input Reset can be used.

The module does not feature built in clock generator. Rather an external Clock signal is used. The positive edge of the incoming clock signal triggers the advance of the sequence to the next step.

The voltage range of the control voltage generated by the module can be switched to 3 different ranges by the toggle switch Range: 0 - +1V / 0 - +2V / 0 - +4V. The control voltage is available at socket CV. The voltage is not quantized. But there is an internal pin header available that outputs the data via Midi (note on/off from Midi note 36. Midi channel 1). It can be used to control a MIDI-to-CV interface if quantized control voltages are required, eg the planned Micro-CV-Interface A-190-9)

The Gate signal appears at socket Gate. The pulsewidth of the gate signal is defined by the pulsewidth of the clock signal provided that ratcheting is not active at the step in question.

Controls and displays:

1 - 8 (rotary controls): manual adjustment of the control voltage for each step

1 - 8 (illuminated momentary switches/buttons): manual gate setting for each step, also used for special functions in combination with other controls (setting of first/last step, running direction, ratcheting)

Range: toggle switch for selection of the control voltage range

Program: toggle switch for selection of a function in combination with the buttons Ratcheting and Function

Ratcheting: button for the programming of ratcheting in combination with the toggle switch Program

Function: button for the programming of sequence length (Limit) and running direction (Direct) as well as for the Preset management (Preset)

Sta/Stp: button for the manual control of Start and Stop, in running state the LED of this button displays the state of the Gate output (ie it flashes in the rhythm of the Gate output)

Reset : manual reset button

CV : control voltage output

Gate : gate output

Clock: clock input, the pulsewidth of the clocjk signal defines the pulsewidth gate signal

Reset: reset control input, reset type selectable via internal jumpers (eg positive edge triggers the jump to first step/positive leveltriggers the jump to first step and remains at first step as long as the reset input is high/waiting for the next positive edge of the clock signals before reset is carried out)

After being discharged from the army in 1946, Ray and Marv Lubow formed Tel-Ray Electronics, specializing in Television and Radio repair. As the company grew, Ray also began dabbling in audio inventions specifically, delay. Les Paul had already pioneered an effect called tape echo, but folks were trying to figure out how to make a smaller, more practical version of this oversized effect. Inspired to do just that, on June 30, 1959, Ray submitted the patent for an electro-static delay apparatus known today as the oil can delay.

These delay units contained oil in a tuna-can shaped drum that was moved by a belt mechanism that turned the drum while a special disk apparatus on which the audio signal charge was written and read through rubber wiper heads. The playback speed was directly related to the drum's rotation speed. The oil acted as a protective layer to keep the audio signal "charge" electrons in place, creating a truly unique echo effect with elements of vibrato and slapback delay. Ray Lubow began licensing the oil can delay technology to amplifier companies, including Fender, Gibson, and Rickenbacker. In the late 1960s, Ray and Marv decided they wanted to start selling their devices under their own brand name and launched the now legendary effects company, Morley. Ray chose the name as a none-to-subtle jab at their competitor Leslie: Why settle for less with a Leslie when you can get more with Morley? Morley manufactured oil can delays up until 1989.

At Wilco's Solid Sound Festival in 2022, JHS founder Josh Scott found himself in a discussion with legendary guitarist Nels Cline. Nels brought up the subject of weird delays, leading to an in-depth discussion of the strangest pedals they'd ever played. Josh received a message from Nels a few days later asking if JHS made an oil can style delay and began explaining the particular sound he wanted from this type of echo. Though JHS didn't have one in the official lineup, Josh and team developed a one-off oil can delay pedal. When they presented it to Nels as a gift, he liked it so much that he used it through the recording and touring process for Wilco's Cruel Country and now their latest release, Cousin.

Though the JHS Oil Can Delay isn't a signature artist pedal, we're still grateful to Nels Cline for inspiring it. We're proud to offer you this unique pedal for your own collection.

ADDAC System ADDAC220 Crossover Module
Cat: 1088365

Companion module to the ADDAC220 Dual Envelope Follower+, allowing the splitting of frequencies into 3 bands.
Notes: Crossover: enabling new processing possibilities: Commonly, audio crossovers are designed to split an audio signal into several frequency ranges so that each resulting signal is adequate for the speaker drivers they are connected to. Typically, low range is sent to the big woofers, mid range to smaller woofers and high range to the tweeters.

Introducing the ADDAC607, which enables users to split the signal into different bands. This creates many interesting processing possibilities. For example, by independently processing specific frequency ranges, one can add delay on only the high frequency range. Or, users split a signal to feed three different compressors for multi-band compression. Finally, DJs can use the Gain knob as a 'kill switch' to remove an entire frequency band, if desired.

Although ADDAC607 operates in Mono (for Stereo signals two modules can be used) there are two audio inputs, making it easy to achieve stereo to mono summing. The Mono Sum Out carries this summed signal. This is pre-gain and can also be used as a buffered Thru output.

The ADDAC607 is a great companion to the ADDAC220 Dual Envelope Follower+, since it allows extraction of dynamics from any signal in a focused frequency range. This allows it to separate the frequencies of a kick drum and a snare, for instance.

SoMa Cosmos Drifting Memory Station Effects Pedal (rusty)
Cat: 1090691

A drifting memory station designed to work with meditative states through music.
Notes: COSMOS is a drifting memory station designed to work with meditative states through music. The design of the controls, functions and generated soundscapes are intended to evoke, in both performer and listener, states and experiences inherent in meditation, such as limitless space, fluidity, spontaneous development, presence, the ability to hear, tranquility, the experience of subtle harmony and happiness enveloping the whole world.

From a functional point of view, COSMOS is a large array of sound memory, in which recorded sounds undergo constant recombinations, spontaneously generating an ever-changing soundscape. This is achieved in three ways - by a mathematical shift based on the relationships between large prime numbers (the size of all delay lines are different primes), an asynchronous operation of the LFO, and modulation with a slowly changing chaotic signal. As a result, it allows the endless layering and processing of various sounds, as in a looper, but without an intrusive, repetitive loop.

COSMOS generates rich, fluid and evolving soundscapes perfect for ambient music. Using COSMOS, you can play an entire meditative solo concert while being in a spontaneous flow and without using studio-prepared sequences, backing tracks and other things that can't be a reflection of the "here and now".

Each press translates into a continuous, organic sound variation, making it possible to shape phrases naturally, much like on stringed or wind instruments.By default, pressure is routed to the instrument's VCA/filter, and the envelope sustains level volume. An additional routing can be set to send the intensity of pressure to whatever other parameters you prefer, a dedicated knob is also implemented for instant control of the amount of this. This continuous pressure-sensitive surface offers a playing experience closer to acoustic instruments, bridging the gap between electronic synthesis and natural musical expression.

Uranograph notes output takes advantage of a series of prepared Keyboard, where each key can be easily assigned to any pitch or pure frequency, offering complete keyboard design and tuning flexibility. Whether adhering to traditional Western tuning, exploring Arabic maqams, Indian ragas, Just Intonation, or experimental microtonal divisions, Uranograph provides an expansive range of tonal possibilities. Preloaded with 50+ keyboard layouts Customizable keyboards allow users to design and store personalized layouts. Instant recall ensures seamless transitions between different tonal systems. This adaptability makes Uranograph an ideal instrument for non-standard tuning, enabling deep engagement with diverse musical traditions and avant-garde soundscapes.

Beyond pitch control, Uranograph features a dedicated control keyboard designed for dynamic, hands-on sound transformation. Unlike traditional mod wheels or faders, this touch-based control surface enables intuitive, real-time interaction with synthesis parameters, allowing for expressive, gestural modulation.
The control keyboard is divided into three functional sections: Articulation, Octave Shift, and ModKeys.

Three dedicated articulation plates provide instant access to advanced phrasing techniques and canonic musical articulations found in stringed instruments: glissando, trillo, and staccato:

Glissando: Enables smooth pitch slides between notes

Staccato: Shortens note duration, creating a percussive attack

Trillo: Rapidly alternates between notes

Each articulation can be activated momentarily (by holding the plate) or latched (by tapping once), offering precise control over phrasing. This flexibility allows musicians to engage articulations selectively, shaping expression dynamically within a phrase. They can introduce variation within a note and the successive one or as a general character of the part.
Three faders are implemented on the panel to quickly change the articulation's behaviors.

Four ModKeys serve as fully assignable, pressure-sensitive controllers for precise real-time modulation of synthesis parameters. Each plate dynamically responds to pressure, enabling simultaneous control over multiple parameters. By integrating expressive modulation gestures with the performance keyboard, players can shape fluid, evolving textures that respond organically to touch - enhancing expressivity and immediacy in synthesis. ModKey destinations and maximum values can be adjusted in the menu and stored during pattern changes.

At the bottom, two integrated octave shift plates provide instant transposition, allowing players to increase or decrease the octave range in momentary or latching modes:

Momentary Mode: Holding a plate temporarily shifts the octave.

Latching Mode: Tapping once locks the new octave until changed.

Bend Mode: Pressing both octave plates simultaneously activates the pitch bend feature, allowing for fluid and expressive pitch manipulation, similar to bending notes on stringed instruments.

Uranograph's core is built on additive and phase morphing synthesis, offering an innovative approach to shaping its five oscillators. The primary sound source is a core oscillator that starts as a pure sine wave and transforms through multiple synthesis techniques, generating a spectrum of timbres from warm, organic tones to sharp, digital textures. Uranograph provides multiple methods to modify the primary sine wave, introducing even and odd harmonics and sidebands, shaping both harmonic and inharmonic spectra. By altering the phase of a sine wave without changing its fundamental frequency, Uranograph transforms simple waveforms into dynamically evolving textures that range from warm and bell-like to metallic and aggressive:

Size (Phase Warping & Spectral Expansion): Stretches waveforms, altering harmonics similar to pulse-width modulation.

Tilt (Asymmetric Amplitude Distortion): Inspired by the Casio CZ series, this phase distortion skews waveforms asymmetrically, generating sounds from soft and vocal-like to harsh and metallic.

Fold (Wave Folding): Nonlinear reflection of signals creates a harmonic-rich spectrum, akin to West Coast synthesis.

The core oscillator can be split and harmonized into three voices, each following a chromatically quantized deviation from the main frequency set by the keyboard. This deviation can be changed trough two multi function programmable faders. This creates chord-like voicings, which are ideal for harmonic layering and ensemble effects. This enables Uranograph to function more as a harmonizer effect than a standard polyphonic synth. The three voices are direct copies of the primary waveform and inherit all parameter modifications from the panel, ensuring a cohesive harmonic response across all voices.

The central core oscillator works in a dual-spectrum configuration with a dedicated sub-octave oscillator. While the core oscillator's rich harmonics define the upper-frequency spectrum, the sub-generator reinforces lower frequencies, ensuring depth and body. Waveforms: Sine, saw, and square waveforms selectable via a switch. Selectable Sub Frequencies: unison, one or two octave below.

Completing the architecture, a dedicated modulation oscillator serves as either an additional fifth voice or a modulation source. Frequency follows the keyboard, but its base rate is controlled via the speed knob. The frequency range is 0.001 Hz to 3,000 Hz, allowing for both slow-evolving modulation and audio rate for rich spectral transformations. Waveforms: Sine, saw, and random noise selectable via a dedicated switch. A dedicated modulation amount knob determines how the modulator interacts with different synthesis parameters selected through a rotary potentiometer: AM, FM, Size, Tilt, Fold, or mix. This final layer opens the door to classic and unconventional sonic textures, making the Uranograph a versatile tool for sound design exploration and experimental synthesis.

In Uranograph's additive and phase-morphing synthesis architecture, the filter plays a different role than in traditional subtractive synthesis. Unlike classic synths where filtering is crucial for shaping harmonics, Uranograph's core oscillators inherently define the harmonic content through their phase manipulation and additive processes. As a result, harmonic reduction and spectral shaping are already embedded in the sound generation itself. After the summation of the core oscillator, SUB, and MOD, Uranograph features a versatile circuit that functions as a VCA / Low Pass Gate (LPG) hybrid. The resonance, ranging from subtle warmth to highly aggressive self-oscillation, add an organic response to dynamic playing.

Uranograph's core sound engine is enhanced by a suite of tailored DSP effects, meticulously designed to shape and refine every aspect of its timbres. These effects are fully integrated into the synthesis architecture, ensuring seamless interaction with the instrument's dynamic sound design. From spatial depth to harmonic reinforcement, these tools expand the Uranograph's sonic capabilities, offering immersive and evolving textures. Uranograph's stereo delay system is engineered for rhythmic enhancement and spectral manipulation, seamlessly blending traditional echo effects with Karplus-Strong-style resonation.
DeltaT knob controls delay time with two distinct behaviors: in the first 25% of its range, time adjustment functions as a micro-timed continuous shift, allowing the delay to function as a resonator, producing rich tonal textures.

Doepfer A-155-2 Miniature Analogue Sequencer Module
Cat: 1092095 Rel: 06 Jun 25

At the heart of the system is our renowned module Chaos; within this compact ecosystem, it can unleash its full potential and seamlessly integrate with the other modules.

Chaos can produce control signals quickly and creatively with minimal user input. It can be used as a rhythmic or melodic sequencer, as a random or deterministic source of modulation: A random stream of data that you can manipulate at your linking and then loop.

Our ORACLE system is, indeed, built on the fundamental concept of loops, a powerful and versatile technique used in many forms of audio production. While loops are traditionally used to repeat audio samples, our system, ORACLE, expands on this concept by allowing you to loop various elements, including gestural movements, waveforms, note progressions, and beats from random sources.

With Thererec, our sketchable dual-channel function generator, you can experiment with your system's interaction differently. Move your hands over the sensors and loop your movements to create intricate voltage patterns, envelopes, or LFOs. With Thererec, you can unlock a new level of creativity in your system design.

One of the key features that sets our system apart is our advanced stereo oscillator, Proteo. With its innovative approach, it can convert any voltage source into high-quality audio waveforms and put them in a loop.Waveforms can be frozen or left in a constantly evolving state, giving Proteo an unheard distinctive sound. With Proteo, you can explore new territories and experiment with different audio sources, allowing you to create truly unique stereo sounds.

Axis includes all the classic blocks for audio amplitude management, such as a dual-function generator, dual VCA, a crossfader, channel volume, AM modulation, and dynamic control capabilities like velocity. The idea is to manipulate a sound over three axes: its length, its volume, and its place inside the stereo field.

At the end of the chain, Endline is our ultimate solution for your summing and outputs needs. This high-quality module offers four stereo channels of summing, sub-mix capabilities, two sends and returns, a headphone output, and transformer-balanced outputs.

In this group, this module present several functions of Don Buchla's "Source of Uncertainty 265/266" (SOU) modules that cannot be realized with existing A-100 modules. Some functions of Buchla's 265 and 266 SOU can be realized with existing A-100 modules.

Module A-149-3 is based on the homonymous "Fluctuating Random Voltages" by Buchla. Compared to the historic original, a lot of functions have been added. For example the user has access to virtually all internal signals (e.g. Noisy Triangle or S&H) and there are a lot of adjustable parameters which were fixed in the original.

For example, the frequency and noisiness of the internal triangle oscillator, the correlation of the S&H and manual or automatic frequency control of the S&H clock oscillator. The fixed internal connections of the original are wired to sockets in the A-149-3 and can be used also individually as the connections of the original are realized as normalled sockets. That way e.g. the S&H or slew unit can be used independent from the other units.

The functions in detail:

As in the original a digital noise signal is filtered in three different ways. The three "noise flavours" are available at three sockets and can be used for all kind of noise applications:

+3db (+3dB per octave, a bright noise, also called blue noise)
-3dB (-3dB per octave, a dark noise, also called red or brown noise, Allan Strange calls it "reciprocal white noise")
Flat (flat spectrum, also called pink noise)

In the original the -3dB output is used add some noise to an internal triangle oscillator with fixed frequency (~ 100 Hz) and fixed "noisiness". The result is called "noisy triangle". In the A-149-3 the frequency of the triangle oscillator and the level of the noisiness can be adjusted. The frequency is adusted by means of the Frq. control and the Range switch (~ 110Hz ... 5 seconds period in position high). In addition one can select between the -3dB and Flat output as noisiness source by means of an internal jumper. When Noisiness control is fully CCW one obtains a clean undisturbed triangle signal. With Noisiness control fully CW the result is a triangle signal with a lot of noise or randomness. The noisy triangle signal is available at the socket "N Tri" and is displayed with a dual colour LED.

The "N Tri" signal is normalled to the signal input of the subsequent Sample&Hold unit (S&H). The clock signal for the S&H is generated by an internal rectangle oscillator. This signal is normalled to the S&H clock socket and is displayed by an LED. One can select between manual and automatic control of the clock period by means of a toggle switch. In position "man." the period is controlled manually by the "Period" control. With control "Period" fully CCW one obtains the shortest period or highest frequency. Turning the control up increases the period or lowers the frequency. In position "auto" of the switch the period is controlled by the slew unit.

In this position a vactrol is used to define the frequency of the S&H clock. This vactrol is controlled in the same way as the vactrols of the slew unit, i.e. the period of the S&H clock changes simultaneously with the slew time. In the historic original only the auto mode was available. There was no manual control available.

The S&H has another special feature: the Correllation control. It's a feedback function where shares of the S&H output are fed back to the S&H signal input and mixed with the actual S&H input signal. The result is slurring the signal like a sub-audio lowpass filter, kind of a "digital slew function" because the gradation of the signal persists.

The S&H output is availabe at the corresponding socket and is displayed with a dual colour LED.

The S&H output is normalled to the signal input of the subsequent Slew Limiter unit (SL). The core of the slew limiter are two vactrols (vactrol = combination of a light emitting diode/LED and a light dependent resistor/LDR built into lightproof case). The brightness of the vactrol LEDs can be controlled manually (control "Man." of the slew unit) and by an external control voltage (socket "SL CV" with associated attenuator "CV" of the slew unit). The brightness of the vactrol LEDs is displayed at the top of the front planel. As already mentioned a third vactrol can be used to control the frequency of the S&H clock oscillator simultaneously to the slew limiter. The SL output is availabe at the corresponding socket and is displayed with a dual colour LED.

Due to the access facilities to many of the internal signals and connections it's possible to use the sub-units also for other applications. E.g. the noisy triangle signal, the S&H unit (incl. correlation) or the SL unit can be used for other signals. The S&H clock can be applied also from outside to synchronize the S&H to other signals.

If required, the internal clock signal is available at a pin header of the pc board.
