Haja Fe (Faze Action remix) (5:21)
Electromandinga (Diogo Strausz remix) (6:25)
Porao De Ferro (Carrot Green dance mix) (6:36)
Review: Gold standard house label Razor-N-Tape looks back to Guinu's modern LP of Brazilian jazz-funk, Palago^, and has some key cuts from it remixed by a selection of assured studio hands here. First up, Jose Marquez reworks the title track into a heavy and hypnotic jam with big percussion. The Faze Action remix of 'Haha Fe' brings some fresh disco sounds and RNT stalwart Diogo Strausz brings big room synth energy and cosmic vocal filters. Last of all, Brazilian Carrot Green brings the 80s boogie brilliance to 'Porao de Ferro.'

Here Comes The Sun (Francois K remix) (8:56)
Turn Me On (Tony Humphries Got U Turned On dub) (7:50)
Save Me (Coldcut remix) (6:38)
Review: South Street's latest missive gathers together a trio of club-friendly remixes of Nina Simone classics that first appeared on the 2006 compilation "Remixed & Reimagined". Francois K impresses with an A-side revision of Simone's celebrated cover of Beatles classic "Here Comes The Sun" that sounds like a long lost Larry Heard record from his classic Fingers Inc. period. Those after something a little more rolling and funk-fuelled should wrap their ears around Tony Humphries' Dub of "Turn Me On", which boasts a seductive mixture of Romanthony style hard loops and rumbling, UK garage influenced bass. Completing the package is Coldcut's fine re-imagining of "Save Me", which places Simone's heart-arching vocal atop skittish, club-ready drums and looped guitars.

Places & People Change (Farben's Goldchord mix)
Inscrutable Insects (Mapstation Second Aid mix)
Inscrutable Insects (Krikors Cockroach mix)
Dark Inclination (Shake Shakir's Detroit mix)
Review: Andy Vaz's first EP on Persistencebit is remixed by four masters of the art - Jan Jelinek, Detroit's Anthony Shake Shakir, Krikor and Mapstation (aka Stefan Schneider / To Rococo Rot). All mixes relay different contexts and approaches, creating a unique 12". Andy Vaz's original elements of deep house are reinterpreted as serious dance floor hits. Jan Jelinek (as Farben), delivers a minimal house version of 'People Change' that swings and flows like there’s no tomorrow, while Mapstation steps it up a notch in a more old school techno manner. On Side B, Krikor delivers a dark, sinister, bomb shelter mix, in a pumping, analogue-sounding, noisy cut-up style that he is so well known for. A superb mix that will initially twist up the floor and blow the speakers in the true sense of the meaning. Last but not least, Detroit's legend and one of the originators of the initial wave of Detroit techno Anthony Shake Shakir, takes it back to the good old days, delivering an authentic Detroit techno ain't-never-going-out-of-style mix of pure madness. This remix EP is guaranteed to stand out from the norm and is bound to be heard repeatedly. Tip

Review: Everyone's favourite robotic pioneers have embraced the art of the remix plenty over their lengthy career. As well as taking fresh approaches to their own material, they've invited others to mess with the legacy of one of the most important electronic acts of all time. It's no mean feat to remix a Kraftwerk track, but as such the roll call on this compilation is reliably heavyweight. As well as their own 'Kling Klang' remixes of tracks like 'Robotnik' and 'Expo 2000', you can find legends like DJ Rolando, Orbital, Francois K and Hot Chip tackling classic and some lesser known tracks across three slabs of wax.

Review: Analogical Force mark their 30th release with a bumper collection of electro remixes from some heavyweight names and like-minded friends. Across all 12 tracks, and six sides of vinyl., the label broadens its remit with various new electro perspectives making this their most vital offering to date. There is restless brilliance from Samuel Kerridge, brutal sound waves from Humanoid and superbly slick, funk and deep tackle from the one and only Radioactive Man. The ever excellent Plaid also serve up a raw highlight with their broken beat workout.

10 (Calming Rain For Deep Sleep edit) (5:29)
4 (A Sign Of True Friendship mix) (3:53)
Bonus (2:01)
Review: Back in 2017, mystery producer The Ambientist offered up two thrillingly retro-futurist EPs that effortlessly joined the dots between ambient, IDM, proto-jungle, ambient techno and dream house. Here, he or she offers up a selection of reworks of tracks from those now sought-after EPs. A-side "10 (Calming Rain For Deep Sleep Edit)" is wonderful: a slow-burn, deep ambient techno number rich in ghostly chords and hushed spoken word samples that reminded us of Biosphere's early work. Over on the flip, label stalwart Rising Sun re-imagines "4 (A Sign Of True Friendship Mix)" as a soul-flecked slab of gently pulsing breakbeat house that's deeper than a Scottish loch and twice as picturesque. "Bonus", a two-minute shuffle through hazy, breakbeat-fired deep house grooves, is also solid.

Review: TV Baby are NYC duo Matthew McAuley and Brain (not a typo, apparently) McPeck who are what local legend James Murphy would describe as using "borrowed nostalgia for the unremembered 80s" with their brand revised no-wave antics. Produced by Gabriel Andruzzi of the Rapture, their music is impressive nonetheless and gets some equally impressive remixes by these guys: check 'em out. First up is Los Angelo Secret Circuit doing his trademark psychedelic synth thing on "Free Tech", Tom Of England hands in two remixes of "Wild Joy", but it's all about the "Tom Of England Astro instrumental" where it stutters and glitches away in real style. Finally "Klerin Priest" gets the remix treatment and we'd have to hand the award to Ivan Smagghe whose "Frossed Remix" channels that dirty late night Paris feel much like his early Black Strobe releases did: grinding, squealing and booming about the place. One of his best remixes in years, if you ask us.

Waiting For A (Woman) (The Revenge rework) (6:47)
Hewal3 (Cain remix) (5:50)
Cape Malay Prayer (Mehmet Aslan remix) (8:12)
Review: Brian D'Souza and Esa Williams' 2015 album, Theory of Flo - the second Auntie Flo full-length - has picked up many plaudits since it was released last year. Here, a trio of album tracks gets given a new lease of life via brand new reworks. The Revenge kicks off proceedings, in the process delivering a dreamy, evocative, hypnotic interpretation that belies his reputation as a maker of forthright house and loopy disco. Cain gets in the Afro-futurist spirit with a throbbing, polyrhythm heavy take on "Hewal3", before D'Souza's Highlife pal Mehmet Aslan steals the show with an inspired flipside remix of "Cape Malay Prayer". Full of lilting electronics, trippy effects, indigenous instrumentation and rolling percussion, it's something of a soft-spun delight.

Mandan (Patten version)
Feral (Odd Nosdam version)
Dark Star (Personable version - edit)
Review: Examining seminal ambient works from Harold Budd via his work on All Saints, this remix package brings a wisely curated host of modern artists in to deliver their own strung out tributes to an influential contemporary of Brian Eno et al. Patten takes to "Mandan" with a slow rising spirituality, gently feeding in threads of percussion to merge with the thick slurry of synths, winding up with a very harmonious cacophony of sound. Odd Nosdam meanwhile turns to his usual arsenal of fuzzy drone business as he tackles "Feral", the pitch bends taking on a transcendental nature as they stretch out into the ether. M. Geddes Gengras' Personable project opts for a sprawling 20 minute version of "Dark Star" that uses the ample running time to unfold a story of high drama, tension and beauty that creates a mastery out of gently discordant melodies.

Movement (Dalhous remix)
Review: So far, the Clan Destine imprint has been responsible for some of the most daring noise-techno infusions of the last three years, and their Clan Destine Traxx offshoot has brought up some straight up killers thanks to the like of Tuff Sherm, Torn Hawk et al. This latest remix package of the Bestial Mouths LP comes heavy with new faces - possible aliases of various established US artists - who waste no time in getting their point across: a cold, foreboding mixture of power electronics, EBM and techno. The A-side is all muddy, swamped distortion and grainy percussion, with our top pick being the Nightchilde remix of "Cloaked". As for the B-side, things take a turn for the dancefloor, and it's Funerals' re-wiring of "Faceless" which really shines through thanks to one hell of a bassline gargle, but Dalhous' version of "Movement" is a total breath-taker, where subtle swarms of feedback collide majestically with angelic pads and sunken choir vocals. Outsider house? More like demonic techno...

Jerk Ribs (Mount Kimbie remix)
Friday Fish Fry (Visionist remix)
Friday Fish Fry (Darq E Freaker remix)
Runnin' (Machinedrum remix)
Friday Fish Fry (Rob Garza remix)
Review: After the album comes the remix.... If Warp's signature of Nozinja was a curveball, Ninja Tune's announcement that Kelis had signed up to release an album with them was perhaps even more "huh" inducing. With the Dave Sitek produced Food a considered success, Ninja Tune usher in a rather delightful remix shaped extra course on this 12" platter. It's an impressive line up too with Dark E Freaker, Visionist, Machinedrum, Mount Kimbie and Thievery Corp dude Rob Garza all jostling for space. Given who is involved, it's little surprise the resultant flips are diverse with Mount Kimbie's atmospheric opener and Visionist's punishing take on "Friday Fish Fry" immediate highlights.

Against The Wall (Rrose remix)
Psychic Warfare (Vatican Shadow remix)
Incubation (Ritual) (Recondite remix)
Inter (NSI remix)
Review: Dave Sumner's debut album as Function was one of this year's most anticipated and finest LPs. Atypically, this remix package sees the commissioned producers deliver versions that measure up to the original material. On the dance floor end, there's Rrose's punishing take on "Against The Wall", which starts with a hypnotic, linear rhythm that descends into distorted mayhem, while Recondite's version of "Incubation" marries dramatic filters and insistent bleeps to reach a climax. But when the remixers go as deep as the author, the results are truly fascinating. NSI's take on "Inter" is a sprawling, jazzed out interpretation of the original ambient track, while Vatican Shadow delivers an uncharacteristically melodic, acid-tinged version of "Psychic Warfare".

Sky Pushing (Dave Clarke remix)
Mayria (The Exaltics remix)
Trespass (Aubrey remix)
Jaz (The Traveller remix)
Review: Ostgut Ton return to Fokus, last year's accomplished debut album from Marcel Fengler with a suitably high profile remix 12". Offering a more well rounded and experimental display of Fengler's production palette than the functional techno he's issued in 12" format, Fokus has a definite highlight thus far and it's interesting to see who has been chosen to rework tracks from it. Shed and Dave Clarke are naturally the headline draws here and their respective takes on "Jaz" and "Sky Pushing" are as full throttle as one would expect but it's nice to see Solar One boss Robert Witschakowski get the exposure his work as The Exaltics deserves with a killer throbbing Italo-techno rendition of "King Of Psi".

Mouse Trap (Double O remix) (5:50)
Physics (Stretch & Threshold remix) (5:00)
Review: Dangerous moves! Two seminal slabs of 92 breakbeat from the gamechanging Reinforced roustabouts Dego & Marc Mac get the treatment in two impressive ways. Rupture's Double O gets busy on 'Mouse Trap'. A snappy device in every which way, he maintains that iconic intro before flipping those venomous mentasms into a spacious 'Deadline' type of vibe before sweeping us off our feet with a cosmic progression. 'Physics' follow suit with turbo twists from Stretch & Threshold. A much more uptempo, militant twist on the 'We Can Be Free' b-side, this one slaps just as hard as the original did 33 years ago.

Comprehensive Vibes (Cool Down mix) (6:33)
Review: Underground Software are back on AKO Beatz's fourth release with another set of remixes of their tune 'Comprehensive Vibes.' First up, a Stretch & Enjoy remix that is a fury of hard hitting breaks and spring hi hats all underpinned with jump up bass. The vocal is a soulful one that takes the edge off the drum based tension. On the flip is a perfect back room version in the form of the Cool Down mix which has more squelchy synth work and 90s downtempo vibes with ragga mic work and smoother breakbeats.
