Review: This desirable 7" record by Fabio, originally released in 1968 and reissued in 2024, is a true gem of psychedelic rock. With its raw, garage-infused sound, the record transports listeners to the vibrant counterculture era. The title track, 'LSD Lindo Sonho Delirante,' embodies the album's trippy, dreamy atmosphere. Review: We will always have time to check out whatever it is that Glenn Underground is serving up. The Chicago house mainstay has carved out his own distinctive sound over the last three decades and much of it comes on his own Strictly Jazz Unit. This latest drop is a reissue of his classic 'Cloud Burst'. It is a track that sits on the more raw and physical end of his personal spectrum with jacked-up drums and plenty of percussion run through with some wispy synths and the crunchiest of snares. A high-impact dancefloor weapon for sure.

Review: Not including the 2000 Diamonds & Nuggets compilation, 2001's Killing Ground would mark the first album of the 21st century, and 15th overall full-length from Barnsley metal titans Saxon. Distancing themselves sonically from the more hard rock-oriented approach taken on Dogs Of War or Unleash The Beast, the material here felt like a purposeful re-shift towards classic metallic song structure, complete with frenetic riffage and epic compositions. Most notable for offering easily the best latter day cut from the legends with 'The Court of the Crimson King', as well as serving as the last entry from drummer Firtz Randow, Killing Ground triumphed where so many seasoned metal veterans falter, by marrying their long-established sonic ethos to modern techniques whilst retaining their identity.

Review: "This LP is a compilation of songs from five different digital-only demo collections I released on Bandcamp between 2021 and 2023. I relied on the ears and judgment of my old friend Dom at Feral Child to curate this comp, allowing him to choose his favorites from over 60 songs," James Toth says of Demon Stations. "While I might have chosen an entirely different batch of tunes, I was happy to defer to Dom, as I've never had much perspective when it comes to assessing my own material." With every track recorded at home, many on the same day they were written, and mostly first takes used, there's an audible quality to this collection of archive material that's every bit as honest as the artist's own explanation as to how the final package came about. An atmosphere entirely befitting the open-hearted folk and Americana dominating the release.

Nas is riding high on a renewed wave of recognition and relevance in the rap game through these collaborations with Hit-Boy, which have been flying out at a rate of knots since King's Disease in 2020. If the pair sometimes revert to classic boom-bap in the style Was originally found fame with, on Magic 2 they're also testing limits with some Atlanta and Memphis-inspired rhythms that show the NYC veteran to be hungry for new challenges and more than able to step up to them. Just sit for a minute with 'Abracadabra' and you'll hear everything you need to know about the new tricks Nas can fold into his inimitable flow.

A new special edition of The Beatles' Revolver comes courtesy of Apple, the original label on which the fab four released some of their most seminal works. So Tough was Saint Etienne's second album, and it properly broke the band into the wider public consciousness thanks to their canny blend of house music, Balearic and melancholic indie. To date it remains the highest charting of their albums, helped no doubt by Sarah Cracknell becoming a permanent member of the band, the free-spirited nature of independent music in the early 90s and the success of the single 'Youre In A Bad Way'. Some 30 years on from its original release, So Tough is getting the luxury reissue treatment in the form of a triple-vinyl pressing, a 7" and a 28-page booklet - surely essential for any of the band's devoted fanbase.

Kirk Brandon started his music career in 1978, in Clapham, London with the formation of punk group The Pack.

The Pack consisted of Brandon, Scottish-born drummer Rab Fae Beith, Simon and Jon Werner on guitars.

Brandon then formed post punk/new wave band Theatre of Hate in 1980 recruiting Stan Stammers on Bass, Nigel Preston on Drums & Billy Duffy on Guitar and John 'Boy' Lennard on sax. Theatre of Hate disbanded in 1983. Brandon and Stammers were then joined by Lascelles James on saxophone and Chris Bell on drums to form Spear of Destiny. The new band adopted a more melodic and less aggressive sound, distancing themselves from post-punk and moving a little more towards mainstream pop. While continuing to explore the political ideas that he wrote about in Theatre of Hate, Brandon's lyrics for Spear of Destiny dealt more frequently with the classic pop themes of love and romance.

In 2003, Brandon did a solo tour as support to The Alarm on their 'Poppyfields' tour.

In later years he performed in the punk supergroup Dead Men Walking, with an ever-changing line up which has featured - Dave Ruffy (The Ruts), Billy Duffy (The Cult), Mike Peters (The Alarm) Captin Sensible ( The Damned), Pete Whylie (Wah), Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols), Mick Jones & Topper Headon (The Clash) Duff McKagan (Guns & Runs) Lemmy (Motorhead), Mike Scott (The Waterboys), Ian McNabb (The Icicle Works) & Roddy Frame ( Aztec Camera), amongst many others.

Brandon has also reformed Spear Of Destiny in 2007 and 2008. Brandon continues to tour with both Spear of Destiny and Theatre of Hate, as well as a revamped Dead Men Walking, and solo acoustic shows.

Iman Kakai-Lazell was born in Iran and moved to London, England at an early age. She studied at Chelsea College of Arts, specialising in Public Art.

Iman has had many exhibitions in New York & London, with a yearly solo residence at The Baltic in Borough - 2010-2016. She now resides in Arnside, Cumbria.
