Review: A-Trak! You may have been introduced to him as a World Champion turntablist, an iconic indie record label owner, half of Duck Sauce, a producer, a festival DJ, a remixer, Kanye's Tour DJ, or former Juicero advocate, but you may not know that he had a hip-hop record label in the early to mid 2000's, known as Audio Research Records. During this time, Trizzy hooked up with arguably 2 of the best hip-hop groups to come out of that era, producing records for Little Brother and the mighty Dipset. One of the very few Little Brother records that 9th Wonder didn't produce, 'Step Off' falls right in line with the LB aesthetic. A-Trak got busy with a bouncy joint that ended up on tons of mixtapes, available only on ARR 12" until now. Same story with the B-side; there, A-Trak teamed up with Dipset for 'Don't Fool With The Dips!' featuring 40 Cal, Hell Rell, J.R. Writer. Now re-released in collaboration with Fool's Gold Records on 7" vinyl alongside new, original artwork by RHEK.

Notes: Inspired by our ADDAC701 VCO waveform mixing section, our new VC Signal Router also updates our legacy X-Fade/Panner to a stereo configuration that also allows 4 quadrant mixing.
Featuring two dedicated X-faders and a stereo VCA that can also be used as a third X-Fader. All controls have their own CV inputs and dedicated Attenuverters for precision control.
4 quadrant mixing is achieved by using the stereo Master as a X-fader between left and right channels, this way you can plug 4 audio sources and sweep/crossfade between each and any of them using the 3 x-faders. Plug any 4 sources (4 waveforms of a VCO, 4 LFOs, 4 envelopes...) and sweep through morph through or have them all mixed together.
For other configuration types Left and Right X-fader channels can be routed through the Master stereo VCA or sent directly to the outputs. A stereo Direct input can also be routed through the Master VCA or sent straight to the outputs.
The Mono Sum output always mix Left and Right outputs together allowing the possibility to use the module as a peculiar 6 channel mono mixer.
It can be used for both Audio or CV Signals.

This small utility module solves this issue on the fly without having to repatch anything.

The title cut is a slow and playful opener with jittery lines and smeared cosmic chords then it's into snappy rhythms and busted bass on Monkey Bones & Fish Brains' melodic madness on 'Ominus Voyage'. There are dark worlds explored on 'Material Metaphore' and 'Solar Pulse' then has whip-snapping synths lashing about over serene electro rhythms.

Review: Dot Allison debuted in 1999 with her Aftergow album and ever since has kept fans old and new enthralled with her voice. Heart-Shaped Scars was a follow-up 12 years later than won plenty of plaudits and now the label it came on serve up this bonus 7" with two new cuts. There is the rather bleakly but beautifully alluring 'Ghost Orchid' and then 'Love Died in our Arms' which is a reference to a past musical life in which Dot made trip hop. Review: Auto Sound City have been building a fine head of steam over the last few years. A series of quality EPs on the likes of Chicago Bee, Weapons of Desire and 3am, have all established a rugged electro and techno sound that is big on drums. This double pack is their strongest statement yet. Cuts like 'This Is Me (feat Shoko Yoshida)' pair gallivanting drums with aloof vocals and bright synth stabs. 'Complete Madness' is more stripped back but just as muscular with its icy hi hats and lashings of synth while 'Fully Clothed & Standing' explores loopy and filtered disco house.
