Review: This second full-length excursion from Channel X, AKA production partners Andre Quasar and Mirko Hensel, is a very different beast from their first. Whereas that was icy, cold and formidably floor-friendly, Wonderland is far warmer, even jazzier. There are trips into fearlessly melodic pop (see the gorgeous "Leaving"), overblown ambience ("Arriving"), jazz-wise deep house ("Headless) and even instrumental hip-hop ("Cheshire Cat", the excellent "Teatime"). While it's arguably the dancefloor-focused moments that still stand out, Wonderland wouldn't be the same without such well-judged eclecticism.

Review: Two years on from the release of their eponymous debut album, Still Vor Talent regulars HVOB returns with Trialog, a pleasingly confident follow-up. The Austrian duo of vocalist Anna Muller and Paul Wallner have chosen to take a slightly darker approach, with more nods towards techno amongst their woozy, off-kilter pop and outsider house grooves. It's a formula that frequently hits the mark, with Muller's distinctive, breathy vocals perfectly complimenting Wallner's bubbling electronics and soft-focus grooves. Highlights are frequent and numerous, from the hazy bliss of "Oxid", to the sublime, beatless beauty of "The Anxiety To Please".

Review: Stil Vor Talent chief Oliver Koletzki presents his eighth full length album. "Fire In The Jungle" was said to be 18 months in the making and incorporates a wide array of inspirations, both musically and geographically, using experiences collected from around the world as a globetrotting DJ and collaborating with some of the label's alumni such as Hidden Empire, Niko Schwind and Township Rebellion with special guests Aparde, Temple Haze and Lisa Who. From the atmospheric slow burner of the title track, the deep polyrhythmic tribalism of "Tiny Sparks" to the life affirming euphoria of dancefloor energizer "Endorphins" - the Berlin native once again proves his true worth to the scene on this solid album.

Review: If Oliver Koletzki's previous albums have largely stuck closely to the melodious tech-house niche he's carved himself, that's only because he's rather good at making it. There were signs of musical maturation on his collaborative 2014 set, I Am OK, which featured occasional forays into hip-hop amongst the club-ready shufflers. He's gone even further on The Arc of Tension, presenting a set that attractively meanders between spacey Balearica, Afro-inspired downtempo grooves, humid trip-hop and leisurely deep house before pushing on towards intergalactic techno and chunky tech-house territory. Thanks to the addition of varied instrumentation and beat patterns, it could well be the Stil Vor Talent founder's strongest album to date.

Review: In April 2017, regular collaborators Oliver Koletzki and Niko Schwind shipped the contents of their Berlin studio to a small cottage in Cape Town's Noordhoek area. Over the course of the month that followed, and inspired by the stunning beauty of their surroundings and the heritage of the region's indigenous people, the German duo produced an album they say forms "a contemporary narrative on ancient dance rituals". Notably more musically expansive with greater use of bold melodies and a range of rhythmic approaches, Noordhoek pairs percussive, tech-tinged deep house shufflers and heavier, early morning dancefloor workouts with slower cuts that variously touch on eyes-closed ambient and mid-tempo Balearic chuggers.

Review: In the autumn of 2005, DJ/producer Oliver Koletzki decided to launch his own label, Stil Vor Talent. A decade on, he's naturally in celebratory mood, and has decided to mix together some of his favourite label releases of the last ten years. Built around the imprint's trademark fusions of deep house and tech-house - think woozy electronics, bubbling melodies and steadfast, dancefloor-ready grooves - Koletzki's all-action mix does a good job in flagging up Stil Vor Talent's finest moments. These include the spine-tingling breakdowns and melodious grooves of Teenage Mutants, Ed One and Boden's "Expression", Kellerkind's dark-but-shimmering "That Sound", and Koletzki's own, pulsating "First Come".

Review: Since releasing his debut single way back on 2005, Stil vor Talent founder Oliver Koletzki has become a prolific remixer. Here he gathers together some of his favourite revisions on one handy, DJ-friendly CD. Intriguingly, some of the standout moments are a little breezier, deeper or more melodious than you'd perhaps expect - see the bold, cascading piano lines and fragile female vocals of the HVOB "Dogs" revision and the bongo-driven bliss of the Koletzki & Schwind "Camps Bay" fix-up - but even those picturesque excursions are still 100% dancefloor-ready. Other highlights include a moody, big-room ready mix of Howling's "Stole The Night", a jaunty dub-house take on Channel X's "Snug Descent" and a Giorgio Moroder-inspired version of Cassius' "Toop Toop".

Review: For the uninitiated, Schneeweiss is a Berlin restaurant renowned for its' "alpine cuisine", run by an old party head and club promoter. The eatery is a favourite of Still Von Talent founder Oliver Kolektzki, who has previously put together a number of compilations "with the restaurant in mind". This fifth installment is typically icy and quietly picturesque, and features a range of tech-house treats that btistle with melancholic synth lines, dreamy chords and hypnotic rhythms. The standard is impeccably high throughout, with standout cuts coming from Victor Ruiz and D Nox, DJ Tonio (the bustling, bass-heavy "Only Live Once") and Drunken Kong, whose "To The Piece" is a dark, wonky, after-party treat.

Review: For the sixth volume in Stil Vor Talent's ongoing Berlin-themed compilation series, the label has drawn inspiration from Tempelhofer Feld, a colossal park sited on land where one of the city's busiest airports once stood. As usual, the eleven tracks on show are all previously unheard and exclusive, with contributions coming from what the imprint describes as "a group of old and new faces". Highlights are plentiful, from the atmospheric, slowly building tech-house shuffle of Niko Schwind's remix of AFFKT's "Jan Mayen" and Armonica's ear-pleasing deep house take on Dele Sosimi afrobeat jam "Turbulent Times", to the booming peak-time menace of Jiggler's "Rising" and the glacial, slowly shifting December beauty that is Kalipo's synthesizer-heavy remix of Bongbeck's "Winter Sleep".

Review: Congratulations to long-running Berlin label Still Vor Talent, which has now notched up no less than 200 releases. To celebrate this milestone, the label has put together this fine celebratory compilation featuring contributions from "old and new faces". Fittingly, it's arguably one of the imprint's strongest and most varied releases to date. Of course, there's plenty of typically Germanic fusions of deep house and tech-house present, but also the Arabic-influenced deep house exotica of Sam Shure, the rising, piano-laden dancefloor bliss of Oliver Koletzki's "Don't Take Yourself Too Seriously", the heavily electronic, club-ready psychedelia of Fideles ("Dark Stone") and the lilting melodies of Deorbiting's warm and picturesque "Warnsignal".
