Deep House
Umibozu
When Craken Show Up
Umibozu (Tomi Chair Move In The Deep Sea remix)
Tentacles Of The Deep
Review: Bucketround presents the eighth EP written and produced by Manuel Costela, 3 tracks and the remix of Tominori Hosoya (Japan) inspired by Japanese Middle Ages, when mythological monsters wake up from the Deep.

"Omibozu (Original version)" is a trip of rhythms and percussion in the middle of a survival battle in the purest sound of American deep house style. "When Craken Show Up" provides us with a delicious fragrance and textures from the reefs, mixing feelings with the voice of the composer. "Omibozu remix" is the powerful touch of Tominori Hosoya "Tomi Chair" (HQ Pressing-Japan) and the dance floor face of the monster directly from Pacific ocean. "Tentacles Of The Deep" is the relaxing movement of the EP, from the caves of the darkness and naughty voices of Andrea Rocha to enter the depths mixed with Manuel Costela's piano.

Crazy Menu EP
Cat: BUCKETROUND 002. Rel: 03 Nov 06

Minimal/Tech House
Delay Fish (original extended mix)
Acid Risotto
Delay Fish (Ernie remix)
Review: Second release for the Bucketround label, owned by young producer Manuel Costela (aka Oval Future Face), who has already demonstrated with his previous productions his sonic armory of break beats mixed with elements of 80s electro. For this outing he makes way for Dubbyman (Deep Explorer, Minuendo, Tranquilo) who offers a delicious selection from the crazy menu. First served is the main dish 'Delay Fish', tasty slices of electro on a bed of minimal dub. To follow is 'Acid Risotto', a generous side dish of tender grains with a sweet and sour Detroit flavour. For gourmet addicts of minimal with texture. For desert, confectioner extraordinaire Ernie is brought in from his kitchen at Minuendo Recordings. 'Delay Fish' remix is a crisp techno sorbet with extra chunks of dub frequencies to clean the palate. Buen provecho!

Deep Encounters Vol 1
Deep Encounters Vol 1 (140 gram vinyl 12")

Deep House
Jesus Gonsev - "Terminal 5"
Tominori Hosoya - "Strider Practice"
Allstarr Motomusic - "Pulsate"
Manuel Costela - "Mind Purveyor"
Review: Spanish label Bucketround kicks off a new series called Deep Encounters with this four-track various artists release from some lesser known talents with some seriously fresh ideas. Jesus Gonsev taps into the mood of labels like Pleasure Zone and the stripped down Romanian sound, but there's other forces at work in the meditative bliss of "Terminal 5". Tominori Hosoya takes things in the direction of Dubbymann style deep house, all pattering bongos and sweeping melodic content before Allstar Motomusic brings a tougher, old-skool New York approach to steamy house music. Manuel Costela finishes the EP off with the delicately balanced "Mind Purveyor", holding back on the drums and leading with the chords instead.

Anniversaries EP (Manuel Costela, Ney Faustini remixes)
Cat: BUCKET 010. Rel: 15 Apr 19

Deep House
Nov.7.2010 (8:48)
Nov.7.2010 (Manuel Costela 4 Love remix)) (8:05)
Happy Sunshine (6:41)
Happy Sunshine (Ney Faustini remix) (7:06)
Review: Manuel Costela's Bucketround label has always moved at a mellow pace, so it's no surprise to see it casually slide back into view after a couple of years out. Tominori Hosoya is a fine choice to steer the return of the label - the producer has been busy in the past few years releasing high grade deep house on labels like Mixx Records and Minuendo. Opening with the airy, subliminal sound of "Nov.7.2010," it's clear Hosoya is more than comfortable in the corner of deep house inhabited by Fred P, Dubbyman et al. "Happy Sunshine" is equally mellow, although with a little more machine soul bite than its predecessor. Costela jumps on with a subtle re-rub of "Nov.7.2010" while Ney Faustini takes on "Happy Sunshine," reducing it to an atmospheric minimal house groove.

Blame It EP
Cat: BUCKET 006. Rel: 15 Sep 14

Deep House
Blame It (Dream vocal)
Blame It (6D22 Beats)
Blame It (Dubbyman remix)
Review: Italian producer Giorgio Luceri has released a reliable stream of records since 2011, developing relationships with labels like Seven Music and Hieroglyphic Being's Mathematics. For this Blame It EP he points the finger at Spanish label Bucketround and provides a three-track single featuring a remix from Dubbyman. Vocals crossed between Romanthony and George Michael dominate the title-track, while all chords and atmospheres are stripped from the 6D22 Beats version, offering a beefy tool for the adventurous DJ. After two previous releases for the label Dubbyman appears in remix form supplying a sultry remix best listened to in the accompaniment of summer a cool summer breeze.

Stay (Deep Explorer remixes)
Cat: BUCKETROUND 001. Rel: 13 Feb 06

Breakbeat
Stay (original)
Stay (Dubbyman Downbeat mix)
Lost In Detroit (Above Smoke remix)
Review: Side A contains "Stay", a curious track that mixes pop, house and breakbeat with a electro groovy bassline that rides over the melody. This side is completed with the downbeat remix by Dubbyman from Deep Explorer Music and other labels like Tranquilo, Strike, Signs Of Authority and the recently established Minuendo. On B side we have "Lost In Detroit" remixed by Above Smoke, the second head of Deep Explorer music. File under Los Hermanos, UR, Theo Parrish, Moodyman, Carl Craig...
