SCM is the alias of Italian-born and Berlin-based Maurizio Schirò. Into music since ever, he got his hands on a pair of turntables and started collecting vinyl at the age of eleven, shaping his influences that could be now traced to Jazz, Soul, Funk, Afro and Detroit sound. SCM has started his own production trying to forge an innovative vision, able to melt his rooted background together with his congenital love for House music. While his first original projects were done in software and sampling, his growing pursuit of warm and dusty sounds has turned into an obsession with old, analog machines.
He can be easily summed up: good vibes, energy, and dusty arrangements, just feelings and emotions described by sound that’s SCM!
After some releases as Momis, he has moved to Berlin and established his own imprint Basement Night Feeling Sound as a home for his musical endeavor.
