Love Coming Over (6:03)
Please Don't Rush (6:39)
Review: BDK's Tequila EP from Say Namm White delivers four full-powered, disco-tinged house heaters. Side-1 opens with 'Big Disco Banger,' a high-energy, filtered house anthem true to its name, followed by 'I Don't Want It,' which offers a deeper, yet still anthemic, vibe. Side-2 starts with 'Love Coming Over,' leaning into a Euro disco sound with heavy Fire Island influences. The EP closes with 'Please Don't Rush,' the deepest house track of the lot. If you are a disco house enthusiasts then check this record out because its packed with infectious grooves and vibrant energy.

Review: Across four elegantly crafted tracks, Italian producer Bottone blends rich melodies with smooth, intricate production, creating a collection that feels effortless and deeply refined. Side -1 opens with 'On Hilly Earth', a laid-back yet deep cut where light, jazzy chords float over a deep, groovy foundationiperfect for early evening unwinding. 'Teach Me The Way You Walk' steps up the tempo slightly, embracing a warm, melodic house feel with a sunset-kissed glow, its uplifting vibe tailor-made for golden-hour dancefloors. The title track, 'Beggin' For Love', leads Side-2 with gentle, beachy rhythms and keyboard work that exudes warmth and relaxation. Finally, 'It's A Heart Feeling' closes the EP with a deep, emotive grooveiits soulful touch and flowing melodies making it an ideal end-of-the-night moment. Review: Eden Burns's entry in the Big Beat Manifesto series is another one aimed squarely at making you dance your woes away. 'Invercargirl' is upbeat, fresh house music with tropical samples and a rubbery bassline that just hooks you in from the off. Proving he has plenty of different tricks up his sleeve, 'Intro Manus' rides on a loopy, rickety beat with a more polished electronic sound and freaky a samples and then '22 Dance Demo' cuts loose on a wildly percussive vibe. These are house tracks that bring something new and fresh each and every time.

Swallow Me (8:13)
I Love Like Your Men (8:08)
Review: Call Super delivers a superb telecommunication in the form of 'Swallow Me'. We're not sure why Call Super wants us to ingest him, but we're not going to question it too much. The new track samples Kamala Sankaram's performance at the final Resonant Bodies festival in New York in 2019. "In Ancient Greek, ololyga is the ritual shriek of women, a sound so alarming to men that it could not be uttered within their earshot" - goes the liner text. Sonically, Mr. Super blends the ololyga with Hebden-esque shuffles and glossy dance schlop, building a deeply resonant tune sure to kill egos the world over.

No Way Back (Ron Hardy edit) (8:30)
Review: Ron Hardy's legacy lives on though stories of his legendary DJ sets but also his seemingly endless catalogue of edits and reworks of the tunes he played in his heyday. Here we have another such exhibit in which he flips some classic disco. The original version of 'No Way Back' is riddled with picked guitar licks and dreamy keys while a funky low end moves on this disco-rock gem as brass bursts out for added oomph. Hardy ups the pace, twists it beyond this realm and adds big drum breaks that are Prue bit for dancers. It's a classic in its own right that gets regular plays by more bold and eclectic DJs.

Total Absence
Paranoia
Ground State
Uncertainty
Review: Lewis Fautzi is a Portuguese techno mainstay who now heads back to a home label PoleGroup for four more cuts of high pressure dance floor dynamite. He opens his account with the dense and dusty sounds of ''Total Absence' which his powered by slamming drums and has all manner of howling winds blowing by that add to the intensity of sound. 'Paranoia' sounds like just that as it layers up unsettling pads and walls of brushed metal drums that roll on like a behemoth. 'Ground State' brings pinging kicks and bass to the fore as fizzing static buzzes across the whole arrangement and 'Uncertainty' closes out a gritty EP of stripped back and menacing techno with a subtle hint of trance-inducing melody.

Deixa Passar (Gerardo Frisina rework) (4:33)

Ile (Gerardo Frisina rework) (4:08)
Review: Five years on from their debut collaborative EP 'Frisina Meets Toco', modern Brasilian dance artists Gerardo Frisina and Toco return for a second faceoff, this time with liaising artist Luzia Dvorek serving as ringmaster. Centring on samba-infused jazz and deep house with mystical and folk influences, "deixa passar" translates from Portuguese to "let it pass", though the mood is certainly not outright passive. This delectably quartered slice of carnivalesque dance music is rather rich in sonic papaya juice, charting sustained vocal contrasts between Toco and Luzia against smoky and furnaced beats. Aperient track 'Deixa Passar' leans heaviest on languid piano, whilst dozier mists emerge on the B-side in the form of 'Ile' and its rework by Gerardo Frisina, bringing pan flutes, strings, breathy vocal counterpoints, cabasa shaker, and subtle bass undercurrents.

7 Grams Of Funk (6:00)
The Formula (7:09)
Review: Established in the UK in 2009 as master-builders of disco-house builds in the late naughty noughties, Instruments Of Rapture first cut the red tape with Ilija Rudman's 'Part Four' and lasted for just three years until 2012. And while the early axing was a shame, we think real works of art are those which are short-lived but profuse in quality. Now kicking back into gear after almost 15 years, the label now return to double up as both label and moniker, humorously titled 'You're Cured Mate'. Described as a "soundtrack more hypnotic and deadly than ever", this new one follows 'The Formula' of cut-short, hypno-loop lyrics and carnal felid whispers (especially in '7 Grams Of Funk'), marking an EPs' worth of subtle libertinage in 2025, the year of the snake.

This first offering bring forth Kayenne's sweet melody over atmospheric rhythms & pads over driving drums brought together on Anthony Nicholson's rewerk. Next an unexpected late night groover from Plastik Recordings, Marc Cotterell where his deep chords transport you deep into the dancefloor. This last mix comes from Groove Victim aka Jay Brown (whom we unfortunately lost late 2021) simple but elegantly effective very reminiscent of the early 90' MAW dubs! Once again NDATL blazes forward!

Review: LOCKLEAD's Kemickal Affairs EP delivers four tracks designed to ignite dancefloors with an electrifying blend of house vibes. Side-1 kicks off with 'Zero's Delight,' a spirited and slightly jackin' house anthem that sets a fun and sexy tone. Following up is 'State Of Peace,' delving into a more techy and minimal groove, perfect for those seeking a deeper, more introspective vibe. Flipping to Side-2, the title track 'Kemickal Affairs' takes the listener on a journey through a deeper groove, reminiscent of 90s era house sounds but infused with a contemporary energy. Closing out the EP is 'Morning Krew,' characterized by its pumping bassline and seamless fusion of house and tech elements. With its dynamic range and infectious rhythms, Kemickal Affairs is destined to work well on any club floor.

Review: Millsart is an alias of Jeff Mills which the Detroit tech pioneer and cosmic ambient maestro uses to explore some of his most melodic sounds. 'Theme From Star Child' is a lush soundscape with rich piano chords and glowing synths all over a mid-tempo beat that is perfectly inviting. 'Satori' is more percussive with loopy drums and scintillating hi-hats dancing over the beats. 'Love Warrior' is a broken beat trip with orchestral melodies and sustained chords that all glow like distant stars. Last but not least is the jazz-dancer 'Starlight Trance Dancer' with its rippling keys bringing future soul to the supple rhythms.

Review: If you were to picture a definitive mid 90s Ibiza terrace scene, there's every chance it would be soundtracked by David Morales' eternal classic, 'Needin U'. It's just one of those all-time classics which perfected the house music recipe in a seemingly simple but oh-so-smart way, and now it's been handed over to Riva Starr for a fun but totally respectful remix to give the iconic track a fresh slant. On the flip of this release on Snatch! we get a new look at Italo house classic 'Rich In Paradise' from FPI Project, revised by Soul Speech in full vocal and dub versions and sounding primed for big party moments.

Heartbreaker (feat Atahra & Child Of) (3:52)
Review: This four-tracker from newcomer Nackley has been described by Bordello a Parigi, the label releasing it, as a "bold debut declaration from a rising talent". It's certainly a strong first offering, with opener 'Return of the Gecko' delivering a sparkling, life-affirming blend of thrusting, throbbing Italo-disco bass, drum machine beats, excitable acid motifs and picturesque melodies. Nackley dusts down his TB-303 once more on the all-action, mind-mangling throb of 'Sublime Desolation' - a track that manages to sound both brooding and over-excited - before reaching for breakbeats, memorable piano riffs and spacey electronics on 'Been a Long Time'. To draw down the curtain on a rock-solid EP, Athara and Child Of lend a hand on cheery revivalist Italo-disco/synth-pop jam 'Heartbreaker'.

Always Liked Scarecrows (7:16)
Eavesdropper (5:47)
Review: Hilarity ensues with Miles J Paralysis and his new 'Folktronic' EP. Brought to the Leeds-based label Crying Outcast, this is an authentic crock of real dancefloor experimentations by the debuting artist, furthering our sense that this West Yorkshire city's contribution to dance music history an indelible one. Here, one can really hear the admixture of humour and attention to detail gone in, with dark-comedic label name matching tongue-in-cheek-microgenre-used-in-title, which mocks the Four Tet populariser style. We were surprised to hear, then, a relative lack of dulcet arp twinkles set to tricky fidget-tech house here, as is the "folktronic" sensibility. Instead, 'Still Waiting' and its corresponding Brian Not Brian and Piers Harrison dub bring a much headsier, erudite, lettered sound, with trippy didgeridoo design marking the opener and wonkier speed-plods following on the remix. 'Eavesdropper' plays on the Leodian favourite that is chug music, with reverso-yearny pads alternating away in the back, while 'Always Liked Scarecrows' makes titular use of the kind of offhand, fieldside observation many daydreamers like us often use: uncanny mock 303s, dubbing martial arts.

Review: There's no stopping Possession when they get on a roll, and so their second various artists series reaches release number four with another grip of devastating techno bombs for the harder floors of the world. Randomer is up first, throwing down the hard trance-licked thumper 'Shiver' before Somniac One's subtly dreamy beast 'Midnight Intruder' comes marching into earshot. Review: The Hamburg-Berlin connection returns. Retreat label boss Hauke Freer and Matthias Reiling of Giegling fame have been at it as Session Victim for the better part of 10 years and they're still in fine form. The third instalment of Listen To Your Heart features four splendid journeys into the deep. Starting off with the lo-slung disco loops of "Almost Midnight" on the A side, which is followed up by the sun-kissed/slo-mo balearica of "Castle For Sale". On the flip, they pick up the pace once again with "Almost Midnight" which showcases the classic SV sound: deep house from a hip-hop production style of technique which no doubt influenced a new generation of German producers such as Glenn Astro & Max Graef. Finally, recline, relax and light one up to the dubbed out ambient journey that is "Thermal Explorer".

Review: Concrete club resident Sweely is fast becoming one of France's most talked-about DJ/producers. The hype is partly based on his club-rocking skills, but also on the quality of his on-point productions. This latest excursion on Lobster Theremin is shamelessly floor-friendly in tone, with the young Frenchman effortlessly joining the dots between acid house, bass-heavy UK house and garage, and more soulful U.S deep house flavours. Check, in particular, the throbbing, lo-fi bounce of "You Don't Really Want Me", where ragged acid lines and soulful vocal samples wrap around a bustling groove, and the bombastic, breakbeat-driven peak-time assault that is "Stronger Than Me". Elsewhere, he finds time to flit between TB-303 abuse and Rhodes playing on "Acid City" and indulges his love of blazed, hip-hop style beatmaking via closer "You Do".

Lifestyles Of The MiniDisc Era
Review: Back in 2012, Glasgow operation put their reissue hats on to present a new edition of Multi Ordinal Tracking Unit, "a secret weapon and personal favourite" from late 90s UK techno types Unspecified Enemies that the label's founders all experienced in their formative years at Club 69. Some two years on and with Numbers now a globally recognised label, unreleased material from Unspecified Enemies pair Louis Digital and CiM features as the label's final release of 2014. Lead cuts "Ms.45" and "Chip Mode" have been sourced from a tape CiM and Digital sent to Rubadub back in '99 with DJ Chip's Dancemania classic Imported Booty Music the apparent influence here. It's quite evident too in the frenzied and furious tempo Unspecified Enemies implement throughout the record with the final superbly titled "Lifestyles Of The MiniDisc Era" a real fckn highlight.

The latest four-track record from the shadowy d&b profuser now hears them summon sampled echoes of A Tribe Called Quest and Digable Planets respectively, culling choice acapella selections from the debut albums Low End Theory and Reachin', exegeting the former's titular theory for a hard transpose into sheller drum & bass. Here their loose and inviting 'Hoochie Coo Strut' tune gets presented on a limited edition 12" with a pair of killer mixes. The original is all deep cut, slow motion disco grooves, spangly guitar riffs and big horns. It is a cacophony of sound that gets dialled right back by Al Kent. Review: Probably most known as the hook sampled in Zhane's breakthrough 1993 R&B smash hit "Hey Mr. DJ", it's only in recent years that it has been recognised as being from Michael Wycoff's 1982 sleeper hit "Looking Up To You". Taken from his second album Love Conquers All, Wycoff's short lived solo career sadly hit a dead end shortly after and he apparently went through tough times. That is until getting back on his feet via a new found faith and these days he is a Minister of Music at several Los Angeles area churches. "Looking Up To You" is a timeless soul classic featuring his signature vocal style, a lush string section, an even tighter brass section and powerhouse backing vocal team: you just don't get music like this anymore! B side cut "Diamond Real" (Tee Scott instrumental mix) is a more upbeat boogie number, with P-funk style elements plus neon-lit synths and disco guitar licks - wouldn't have been out of place on the Beverly Hills Cop soundtrack actually!
