Pronsato & Cinelli - "After The Club"
Mark Henning - "Dime Bar"
Daniel Stefanik - "Groovesome"
Oleg Kostrov - "Groovesome" (Stankov mix)
Review: "Mood Coop Five" is the second various Artists EP on Milnor Modern in a short period of time. This is also the most international one so far. The a-side sees the return of Bruno Pronsato and Franco Cinelli who continue that unmistakeable dry pumping style which became so widely praised after their previous MMR release. They are joined by a well-known MMR companion and brother in mind, Mark Henning. Britain's finest delivers another groovy-funky definite dancefloor shaker. Flip around and you will see the Milnor Modern Records debut of two young guns: Daniel Stefanik of Moon Harbour fame drops one of his typical hypnotic bouncing tracks followed by Stankov's remix for Oleg Kostrow - one funny shuffle track with a wonderfully warm bass drum.

Project 64
Review: Franco Cinelli, one of the most gifted new producers coming out of Argentina, presents here six uncompromisingly quirky club bombs. His previous releases on Milnor Modern and Telegraph have just warmed you up to his sound. Now dive in to "Profundo Amor" and get familiar with these intricately programmed club stompers. You can call it minimal, but when these tracks go ripping through a big PA, that's the last word that will be on your mind. With the opening track "Flog", you get a taste of the freaky after-hours grit that Alphahouse Records is becoming known for. "M26" is a robotic hair-raiser for the new generation. Think Minus on steroids. "Twisted Machine" features a stompy groove and some snare work to drive the dancefloor. "Vertientes" is a great DJ-tool with a low-slung bassline and dancing synths. "C3d" bounces along with a razor bassline and some tricky transitions. And "Project 64" finishes off the LP with a synth line that falls out of the ceiling and straight onto the dancefloor. Truly inspiring stuff here, from Franco. No filler tracks. All of these are A-sides.

ATIPIC 011
Cat: ATIPIC 011. Rel: 21 Oct 20

Minimal/Tech House
011.1 (11:07)
011.2 (8:41)
Review: Following up some great efforts by the likes of Dumitrescu and Lizz, for its eleventh edition Priku's Atipic imprint goes beyond the 'Rominimal' sphere. Instead it looks to Argentina for this release, courtesy of scene veteran Franco Cinelli in conjunction with newcomers Esteban Gutierrez and Lux Z. Hypnotic late night mood music awaits on A side cut '011.1' a deep groove with Robert Hood style synth bleeps against a backdrop of lean minimalist drum beats. On the flip, the heady stomp of '011.2' lets the clipped yet very intricate rhythm programming do all the talking - polyrhythmic afterhours bliss if we have ever heard it.

The Untold Stories Chapter V
The Untold Stories Chapter V (140 gram vinyl double 12")
Cat: UNTLDSTORIES 005. Rel: 18 Nov 16

Jerome C - "An intelligible scrawl"
Pheek - "Chaos Befriended"
Volta Cab - "Street Knowledge"
Jarz Polors - "Dvsy"
MD Wallholz - "Ein bisschen Ruhe"
Ztrl - "Vege"
Jonas Sella - "PA LA"
Franco Cinelli - "Overdubz"
Ivan Lopez - "Mentalspace"
Review: Steadily building up a prominent identity in the bustling minimal house and techno thoroughfare, The Untold Stories return with one of their signature various artist compilations to present some lesser known practitioners of the hypnotic groove. Jerome C gets a rugged angle on the swing to his beats on "An Intelligible Scrawl", while Volta Cab nods to a classic Tobias jam with "Street Knowledge". MD Wallholz's "Ein Bisschen Ruhe" is a shivering slice of experimental electro, and Jonas Sella brings an unhinged French flavour to proceedings, but truthfully every jam on this solidly packed release has its own distinct character that fits into the meandering tale the label is unfurling.

Spok (original mix)
Spok (Nektar Agu remix)
Review: Leading minimal label The Untold Stories are at it again, and after their star turn from STL recently they've now invited down another legend in the shape of Franco Cinelli. The original is classic Cinelli, pivoting around crisp, clean percussive lines and the bare essential atmospherics. Nektar Agu steps up for a remix that continues the minimalist theme, but adds some looming bass tones into the mix that pushes the track into a dubbier headspace. It's another slab of refined, stripped down tackle for the reductionist dancefloor, as you would expect from The Untold Stories.

Liquid Funk EP
Cat: SAVOR 014. Rel: 20 Feb 17

Minimal/Tech House
Liquid Funk (13:33)
Jack Bass (7:08)
D-Down (6:44)
Review: Since making his debut way back in 2002, Franco Cinelli has giddily hopped between labels, releasing well-regarded material on such imprints as Ilian Tape, Esperanza, Bass Culture, Raum and, most recently, Untold Stories. This first outing on Savor is notable for A-side "Liquid Funk", a 13-minute-plus workout that fixes subtle but spacey electronics to a killer, bassline-driven tech-house groove. There are subtle changes throughout, but for the most part it's a hugely hypnotic, locked-in experience. Elsewhere, the Argentine producer wanders closer to dreamy deep house territory on "Jack Bass", and joins the dots between New Jersey organs and stripped-back tech-house-funk on the decidedly wonky "D-Down".

Synthetic Gold Selection By Franco Cinelli
Cat: SGR 002. Rel: 30 Jan 17

Minimal/Tech House
Track 1 (7:11)
Track 2 (5:52)
Anestie Gomez - "Inthezone" (7:15)
Guillermo De Caminos - "DFTD" (7:15)
Review: Synthetic Gold came to light late last year with a unique agenda to push the kind of stripped down experimental minimal house and techno that has been overlooked by trend followers. After a strong first move, the label returns with a second bout from lesser-known names such as Anestie Gomez and Guillermo De Caminos, but perhaps even more intriguing is the A side credited to an unknown producer who turns out some bugged-out beats and bleeps for the freakier end of the floor. For those who still recognize the innovation and fresh ideas coming out of minimal techno, this is a record well worth checking out.

Review: Franco Cinelli was born in Rosario, Argentina in 1978. He's one of the most well known techno DJ/Producer in Argentina. Being just 14 years old, he started his DJing career. Interested in drums, he started to research about creation and development of music through computers and samplers. In 1995, inspired by the sounds of Detroit, he made his very first tracks. As the years were going by, Cinelli was gaining experience, and became a key player in the Argentine scene. His DJ sets are an harmonic blend between different styles rounded by a flawless mixing technique. In Argentina, he played in almost every important club around. Being also one of the residents of El Sotano, one of the best clubs in the Argentine scene. On that period, he shared the booth with Diego RO-K, Diego Cid, Nico Purman, Dee Jason, Club Rayo DJs, Leonel Castillo (Boeing), Dr. Trincado, Carla Tintore, amongst others and international jocks like Jeff Bennett, Bill Patrick, Tom Pooks, Mathew Jonson and Someone Else. In 2003, he made his first European tour, DJing in important clubs and festivals in Spain. In 2005, after having some vinyls and CD albums out in some smalls labels, he developed the stunning 'Picaro EP' with Bruno Pronsato which was an underground smasher, reaching spot 7 in the charts of the prestigious German magazine 'Groove'. For 2006, Franco is developing a new format in his live shows combining both vinyl and a live set with his laptop, adding an unique dynamic to his sets. Also his becoming one of the most requested producers in the 'minimal world' having a lot of EPs, remixes and tracks scheduled for this year, being the main highlight his album for Alphahouse Records.
