Review: It would be fair to say that "Lick Wid Nit Wit" is not one of the better-known tracks by the Sabres of Paradise, Andrew Weatherall's once high profile 1990s techno trio. The track, a wild re-imagining of their "Wilmot" single rich in clanking, metallic percussion hits, snaking Middle Eastern inspired melodies and copious amounts of dub delay, was only ever released on an obscure compilation. Happily, Elastic Dreams has decided to give it a new lease of life, with label boss A Sagittariun delivering two thrillingly intense new interpretations. There's a "Sabresonic Re-Dream" (named in honour of the trio's label/club night, Sabresonic) that mixes fast-paced rhythms and distorted bass with some particularly hallucinatory sounds, and a more straightforward - but no less trippy - techno take (the Friday Night At Happy Jacks Remix).

Review: Haysi Fantayzee were formed in 1981 by fashion photographer Kate Garner, former Animal Magnet member Paul Caplin and Jeremy Healy, a well-known face on London's club scene. Together they set about injecting a sense of fun and adventure into the music scene, wearing outlandish, self designed costumes and dreadlocks, and writing songs that married sexual subversion with deliberately disposable and cocksure Day-Glo pop. Their 'Dickensian Rasta' look was an immediate hit and saw their debut single "John Wayne Is Big Leggy" rise to number 11 in the national charts. In their brief career they would also enjoyed chart success with "Holy Joe" and "Shiny Shiny". All three hits are reprised on this CD, as is their sole album, "Battle Hymns For Children Singing". The package also features a host of bonus tracks, remixes, and sleeve notes written with the co-operation of both Healy and Garner. The former went on to become one of the UK's most successful DJs, while the latter is an accomplished and in-demand photographer for artists including Sinead O'Connor, Bjork, David Bowie and others.

Effectively the duo's introduction to a wider audience, it did a great job in showcasing their trademark sound - an enticing blend of loose-limbed live drums, double bass, intoxicating electronics and snaking sax sounds. As this anniversary vinyl reissue proves, it's a musical blend that still sounds fresh all these years on. The plentiful highlights include moody theme 'Snapper' (featuring Beth Orton), lightly Latin-tinged punk-funk workout 'Swank', the riotous and aggressive 'Wesley Don't Surf' and Sabres of Paradise's incredible rework of 'Hot Flush' - a jazzy, breakbeat-driven slab of dancefloor deepness that ranks among Andrew Weatherall and company's finest remixes.

Like its predecessor, this speedy sequel contains reworks delivered by Weatherall at different points over a near 30 year period. Review: For the third volume in the label's Remixes series, Heavenly Recordings has decided to look back on its lengthy relationship with the late, great Andrew Weatherall. The man occasionally known as Lord Sabre provided plenty of reworks for the London-based imprint over a 30-year period, and you'll find some of the greatest here (and on the accompanying second volume, sold separately). Highlights include Weatherall's legendary two-part dub of St Etienne's 'Only Love Can Break Your Heart', his peerless, 15-minute peak-time 1992 take on Flowered Up's 'Weekender', a delightfully dubbed-out, Asphodells-style rework of Gwenno from 2015 and a stunningly spaced-out dancefloor dub of Ian Lanaghan.
