Unless your vinyl has scratches, these pops and clicks are caused by dust and dirt that has been collected in the grooves. Also, contamination by air pollution from the traffic outside, cooking fat, grease and tobacco smoke can cause a tough film to form on the surface of the record. Sometimes even moulds and fungi are present if the records have been stored for a prolonged period of time in a humid environment. If you play a dirty record, the stylus will scrape part of this dirt off the groove and this causes a thick build-up of grime on the stylus. Ultimately, this will result in complete miss tracking or groove skipping with permanent damage to your costly stylus and precious records.

Notes: The newly developed Tonar Top Tip stylus cleaning Liquid with stylus lubricating additive is very easy and simple to use. It is a powerful cleaning solution that will detach all the dirt ad tough grime that your stylus collects from the record during play-back and result in a perfectly cleaned stylus surface.

The kit contains a bottle with the Top Tip cleaning and lubricating liquid. In the bottle top you will find an applicator brush that is used to wet the stylus brush. The kit also includes the Tonar clean tip carbon fibre stylus cleaning brush.

Instructions:

Unscrew the bottle top and apply one or two drops of liquid onto the Tonar cleantip brush. To clean the stylus tip brush the tip a few times with the brush. Careful! Always clean the tip from the back of the cartridge to the front of the cartridge only. Never brush back and forth as shown on the diagram. You do not have to remove the stylus the cartridge for cleaning.

Caution:

The fluid contains a low percentage of Iso-Propyl Alcohol. Keep out of reach of children.

Notes: The TonarTacky Cleaner uses a special grade of rubber elastomer that never loses its original surface tackiness. Just rolling it lightly over the record surface in straight lines is enough to remove dust and dirt trapped in the grooves. When the roller has become dirty it is easy to clean. Just remove from the holder and wash with a little bit of hand soap under the tap with water.

After drying the roller with a lint-free paper cloth it regains its original tackiness.

Notes: This liquid is the exact same liquid as the Tonar QS Vinyl cleaner, but now supplied in a spray can that is convenient to use for small cleaning jobs together with the TonarWetgoat brush made of pure goats hair.

Notes: This record cleaning fluid made for use in all types of record cleaning machines currently on the market is only suitable for vinyl records (Important do not use with old 78 RPM shellac records as the liquid may do irreparable damage). Now what is so special about the QS-TONAR vinyl cleaner compared to similar looking competing products on the market?

QS-TONAR liquid has an extremely low surface tension
- Only because of this reason QS-TONAR liquid can penetrate right to the bottom of the grove where other fluids seem to penetrate, but actually just stay lying on top of the record surface.
- Only QS-TONAR liquid cleaner soaks the dust, dirt, air pollution as well as residue from previously used cleaners, fatty deposits remaining from the original record pressing process, even fungi and molds caused by records having been stored in humid conditions etc.
- QS-TONAR liquid detaches all of the mentioned dirt from the walls of the grove after which the brushes in the machine can easily wipe the groove completely clean. The amount of residue remaining in the grove is negligible - this contrary to almost all other liquids currently on the market.
- QS-TONAR liquid is much more volatile than other liquids reducing the drying time of the record to a minimum.
- QS-TONAR liquid has another property causing the dirt to remain floating in the liquid rather than settling back at the bottom of the grove.

The naturally anti-static bristles prevent static build-up and the steady handle provides perfect grip while cleaning your record collection.

Notes: The Micro-Mu is a wet record cleaning brush that features special ultra fine bristles and a solid plastic handle. The bristles are under 50 microns thick, so incredibly thin making them reach further into the grooves than most, for a really deep clean. They bristles are very soft and perfect for use when wet, making this brush ideal for any fluid based vacuum cleaning regime you use on your LPs. The sculptured solid handle makes using it a pleasure too.
