Review: So far in his career, Dr Packer has mostly delivered remixes and re-edits, breathing new life into disco classics old and new. Here he tries something new, namely covering Candi Staton's 'You've Got The Love' - a track that famously became a hit via a bootleg remix that added her vocals to a house track based on Frankie Knuckles' 'Your Love'. Packer's version is an organic-sounding disco treat - all rubbery bass guitar, cut-glass strings and rolling drums - that sneakily replicates the breakdown from a classic electrofunk number midway through. The Aussie producer also delivers instrumental and acapella versions, while rising star St Croix re-imagines it as a rushing, bouncy, mid-90s style piano house anthem. A summer hit and then some.

Review: Back in 2004, when his muscular brand of peak-time house music was all the rage, Vito Lucente AKA Junior Jack secured a sizable club hit with 'Stupidisco', a squelchy and driving fusion of weighty tribal house beats, swirling electronics and giddy disco vocal samples. Here the track returns in remixed form for 2022. David Penn kicks things off with a thrillingly uplifting piano house update, before Deeperlove opt for energetic drums, sweaty fills, echoing vocal snippets and a suitably gargantuan bassline Over on the flip, Jolyon Petch joins the dots between rubbery nu-disco and turn of the '80s electro-disco, while the Electrik Disco mix is a funky, revivalist disco-boogie treat laden with rubbery bass guitar, sparkling synths and Chic-style guitar licks.

Review: To celebrate the 20 year anniversary of the funky house anthem 'Salsoul Nugget' M&S have tapped Mighty Mouse and Toolroom chief Mark Knight for some amazing remixes to celebrate this milestone. Mighty Mouse's stuttered dub mix is followed by Knight's version, which expands on the rhythm section for greater dancefloor dynamics. Review: Taken from the soundtrack of the cult 1985 film Fast Forward directed by Sidney Poitier, Siedah Garret's legendary song 'Do You Want It' receives a much deserved remix package here, courtesy of Australian label Tinted. Some of their finest exports front up, namely Perth legend Greg 'Dr' Packer who is up first with his super low slung Back To The '90s remix, while Jolyon Petch's Elektrik Disko remix nails that deep funky house sound of the same golden era. The original still packs a punch too, and we can assure you it's indeed featured (over on the flip) in all its neon-lit electro-boogie glory.
