Notes: Lich is a programmable multi-function module based in Rebel Technology OWL platform. This is a Befaco Rebel collaboration that brings back Owl’s platform with this new hardware iteration. It has stereo in and out, four pot controls summed to cv inputs (like the classic Owl module) And as addition, CV and Gate outputs, patch selection with display and USB MIDI host and device connections.

Notes: Each of the two sections of the module is capable of performing the analog multiplication of two signals (A and B) and add an offset (C). It can also act as a dual voltage controlled attenuverter, dual ring modulator, dual VCA or four channel mixer (see block diagram below).

The B inputs are routed to an attenuverter that multiplies the signal between -2 to 2, while the offset inputs (C) route through a unity gain attenuverter (multiplies the signal between -1 and 1).

The output of first section is routed to the output of the second (when the first's output is unused), so the second output can act as master to achieve (A1*B1+C1) + (A2*B2+C2) or (A1 + C1) + (A2 + C2) - a 4 channel mixer.

The through-zero (four-quadrant) multipliers in the A*B+C allow for true Ring Modulation. To achieve this, simply connect two waveforms to the A and B inputs.

Notes: Quad Attenuator/Inverter, Splitter, and Offset Generator

Scale your audio or CV sources and route them to various destinations with this versatile utility. It consists of four identical unity gain amplifiers. Each amplifier can multiply an incoming signal by values ranging from 0 to 1 (for attenuation) or from 0 to -1 (for inverting attenuation). The input of each channel is normalled to the input of the next channel, allowing for easy signal routing from one input to the subsequent ones.

The first channel is normalled to 10V, enabling the module to function as an offset generator when no input is connected.

Bandit is a fun combination of band-pass filters, VCAs, and routing options.

It serves multiple functions including equalizer, crossover, multiband VCA, 4 band spectral mixer, and spectral external FX insert point.

It allows you to:

Cut or emphasise different frequency bands of a signal, acting as a voltage-controlled equalizer/isolator.
Split a sound into four different frequency bands for external processing, and if needed, insert them back
Mix four different signals with predefined tone placement in the mix.
Create four different sounds from one sound source by modulating the volume with four different envelopes.
Create evolving timbres by modulating one or more frequency bands using LFOs or audio-rate modulation.

Notes: The BF-22 VCF is a dual Hi/Low-pass filter inspired by the Sallen-Key filter from the early MS-20.

DISCLAIMER: This filter brings to your modular system the character of early MS-20 sound: Kick-ass-rocking-dirty screams! It inherited not only it's amazing sound, also MS-20 noise floor. If noise floor is an issue for you, this might not be your filter.

Notes: Crush Delay v3 is a special Echo-Delay unit based on the PT2399 IC, which is able to offer 400ms of clean delay and up to 2 seconds of dirty repetitions, having a special talent to generate noisy-glitch textures. The module bases its operation on controlling the PT2399 chip with circuit bending techniques, converting the unit in an advanced VC digital trash generator. This third version comes with some interesting new features like redesigned VCAs circuits, wider range for clean delay and reduced depth to make it skiff friendly.

The module features a few VCAs to provide a flexible signal route to maximize module's possibilities. First two VCAs at the inputs to control the amount of signal sent to the delay. The first is routed to both the dry/wet mix and the delay, and the second directly to the delay. Combining the second VCA and the FX Send output allows external feedback routings.

Compared with v2, this third version offers a bigger range of clean delay time as well as a revision of some of the Crush modifiers. Combining those modifiers you will have a access to a vast palette of noises and textures that can be used in many different ways. From ambient/drone patches to even percussion sounds.

The VC Feedback features an automatic gain control to keep levels stable at any feedback level.

Notes: Inamp is a dual pre-amp in just 4 HPs. Featuring 6,3 Jacks inputs as well as Minijacks.

Both inputs are summed so you can use them at the same time as an input mixer.

The unit is designed to amplify up to x20 the input signal, allowing to amplify most of the music machines out there (Domestic line levels) as well as some guitars (Humbucker-like pickups and so).

The first channel is normalled to second one in series, so it's possible to have two stages of amplification or two separate ones.

Notes: Instrument Interface is a Eurorack pre-amp capable of bringing any type of audio signal to modular levels, thanks to its amplification circuit.

The module can drive regular and condenser microphones (+48V Phantom Powered), as well as Instrument and Line signals with a very low distortion ratio.

Going further from the regular re-amp operation, Instrument Interface offers some additional extra functions like a Trig/Gate extractor and Envelope Follower circuits, allowing you to use the character of your audio signal in more creative ways.

Notes: Combine up to four audio and or CV sources into one output, with independent manual level control.

It can be used as a four-channel mixer or as two separate two-channel mixers, depending on the connection.

If a cable is connected to the Master output but not to the 1+2 output, all channels will be summed at the Master output. If both the Master and 1+2 outputs are connected, the Master will output the mix of channels 3 and 4, while the 1+2 output will provide the mix of channels 1 and 2.

Each pair of channels has an LED indicator that shows the presence of a signal.

Notes: Muxlicer is a sequential signal processor designed for add a huge range of special functions to your modular setup in the minimum space.

Muxlicer is divided in three main blocks: Digital Step Controller, Gate Generator and Analog Switch (a.k.a. Mux/DeMux).

The module is designed with high "function to HP ratio" philosophy, to have maximum flexibility in minimum space.

Notes: A typically comprehensive approach to noise sources from Befaco, featuring five different circuits plus two analogue multimode filters and plenty of CV controls for sculpting the output.

Noise plethora has three different noise generators:

The first two are identical and are composed of digital algorithms followed by a 12dB analog multimode filter.
Each program has two variables (Named X and Y) addressed by two manual controls and two associated control voltage INs.
Ships with an extensive (and expanding) algorithms library: textures, wave clusters, harsh noises, and glitches.

Generator C has three simultaneous outputs:

White. Flat Response Classic white noise.
Gritty. Granulous texture noise, with voltage-controlled grit quantity.
Filtered. Is the White or Gritty noise followed by a 24dB multimode VCF.

Notes: Really clever stuff here. The Octaves VCO takes an additive approach, layering harmonics on top of a fundamental frequency to create complex tones. Control the six bands via CV to adjust the harmonic content.

Notes: Befaco's new Output Module is designed to be the master output for your modular system, providing an extra Cue Input to monitor any signal.

Left IN is routed to both channels when no Right signal is present. Both Outputs are TRS balanced.

A Headphones out is available. You can route Headphone OUT to the main out or an independent signal with CUE switch. Like this you can either pre-listen your sounds with the CUE Input or listen to your main out without disturbing your neighbours!

Level LEDs are available to monitor levels of each signal on the module.

In Through Zero oscillators, frequency is controlled by either positive and negative voltage. If FM CV goes below zero, the core will continue oscillating inverting its phase. This "little" change of behaviour allows the core to create a whole new range of timbres that are just impossible to achieve with regular VCOs.
If you set the module as LFO, the range of funky modulations will be endless!

Transforms stepped notes into smooth acid slides with independent speeds for both upper and lower notes.

The onboard slope detector generates gates while the output is rising or falling, allowing events to be activated when moving to upper or lower voltages.

Additionally, it can convert a gate signal into an Attack-Sustain-Release (ASR) envelope.

The shape control feature helps balance speed versus input range, enabling quicker speed while sliding to further notes allowing for time compensated portamento.
