Review: It won't have passed you by that the world's longest running (and most commercially successful) rock band is back. The big news, of course, is that the Rolling Stones have recorded their first album of new material in 18 years, Hackney Diamonds, which will appear in stores and online next month. To whet the appetite of fans old and young, they've served up 'Angry' - a one-track CD single that has been manufactured in relatively limited numbers. To be fair to the old timers, it's genuinely 'prime' Stones fair - all gnarly rhythm and blues riffs and sprawling solos (courtesy of Keith Richards, of course), yelp-along vocals from the effervescent Mick Jagger, and a suitably sturdy rhythm section. A return to form, as many critics have already pointed out.

Review: The Beacon Street Collection was a 1995 album from legendary US rockers No Doubt that they self-released. It was written across several different studios around Southern Claiborne, including at their home in Anaheim. There are 10 tracks in all here and they came in a fertile period for the band just ahead of them exploding with their smash hit Tragic Kingdom album. It has not been available on vinyl before now but comes here on nice heavyweight 180-gram wax and bears all the hallmarks of the sound they would soon be known for all around the world.

Hackney Diamonds came with its own playful viral marketing campaign and lead single 'Angry' which won plenty of plaudits. The full album is now here on CD with a note from front man Mick Jagger who said "we wouldn't have put this record out if we hadn't really liked it." It's a full on album full of very Rolling Stones sounding cuts that will get you up and playing along to the huge riffs.

In a grand depart from his usual style, he ditched his rap sound in favour of a guitar-driven pop punk style that is primed for emo teenagers. Famous for his motor mouth flow, Kelly switches it up for big anthemic verses. Review: Florence and the Machine's Dance Fever is the fifth studio album from the much loved indie outfit and as ever it is a broad and widely infused rock sound. From pop to baroque, prog to indie, folk, dance, industrial and even spoken word, these adventurous sounds add up to a 14 rack fairytale.
