You could argue that Seth Troxler's Visionquest crew have ruled 2011, or at least provided the soundtrack to the year. Given their success this year, it's perhaps little surprise to see them rounding it off with a first full-length mix for Fabric's acclaimed mix series. If you've ever seen Troxler and co DJ, you'll know what to expect - a formidably atmospheric mix of dewy-eyed synth-pop melodies, shuffling percussion and springy bottom-heavy grooves, all finished in the glossy, soft-focus style they've made their own. The mix predictably picks up pace in the middle thanks to a string of glorious techno-tinged productions that start around the time Catz & Dogz make an appearance in Carl Craig remixed form, before falling back to earth via the touchy-feely, vocal-heavy productions Troxler treasures so much.
