There's a lot to like about Jude 'SacnOne' Greenaway's first album as Parallel Action. It begins with a sweeping slab of bustling breakbeat soul reminiscent of Massive Attack classic 'Unfinished Symphony' (brilliant B'Licious collaboration 'Waiting on You') and ends with a deep, jazzy slab of off-kilter UK hip-hop ('Connect The Dots'). In between you'll variously hear scratch-happy trip-hop darkness ('Rawk', featuring Kodac and Lone Wolf); skittish spoken word jazz (Roger Huddle hook-up 'Colours and Chords'); drum and bass-influenced heaviness ('Blazing'); a wholehearted tribute to Roots Manuva's 'Witness' ('10/10'); sci-fi seeped murkiness ('Mental Energy') and much more besides.
