Curated By Time has taken a deep dive into the back catalogue of UK tech-house pioneer - and Crayon label founder - Mark Ambrose. Lifeforms Volume 1 was first released way back in 1998 and in recent years has become an in-demand item amongst crate-digging, dusty-fingered DJs. It remains one of Ambrose's most alluring EPs. Check first 'Untitled 1', a deeply spacey slab of intergalactic sci-fi techno underpinned by pitched-up house beats, before admiring the deep, dubby sub bass, mind-mangling noises and hypnotic house beats of 'Untitled 2'. B-side 'Untitled 3', meanwhile, is a fantastic example of early UK tech-house in its purest form: all sci-fi synth sounds, undulating bass, crunchy house drums and the dreamiest of pads.
