Singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Jordan Rakei is a talented chap. Not content with pulling up trees under his given name, he's decided to debut a new alias via a killer new EP for Rhythm Section International. All four tracks are deliciously hazy, effortlessly soulful and hugely groovy, as Rakei deftly showcases his many talents. He begins with the Prince-tinged purple funk of "Change", before fusing clipped funk guitars, broken house beats and confident vocals on the superb "Like You Wanna". "Tolle" sees him slip further towards toasty, low-slung deep house territory, before he breaks up the beats and fires up the Rhodes on deliciously jazzy closer "Ligo".
