Review: Landing with a curbstomp the year before their debut full-length Matando Gueros, 1992's iMachetazos! served as only the second 7" EP (of what would become a lengthy discography) from drug cartel death metal outfit Brujeria. While performing with their faces covered and under gangster pseudonyms, anyone within the scene knows the collective alumni boasts (or has at one point) Fear Factory's Dino Cazares and drummer Raymond Herrera, as well as Billy Gould (Faith No More), Nicholas Barker (Cradle Of Filth Dimmu Borgir) and Jeff Walker (Carcass). Lyrically touching on tops of Satanism, torture, gang violence and drug dealing, all united through Mexican imagery and gangster aesthetic; when coupled with the band's extreme form of death metal imbued grindcore, the resulting menace is akin to waking up in a mosh pit during Sicario.

Review: Originally featured on the soundtrack to The Hangover II (of all movies), 'Black Hell' from Misfits mastermind and all round evil Elvis curmudgeon Glenn Danzig finally comes to vinyl for its first time ever in both 12" format and in the form of this limited orange splattered 7" (just in time for spooky season). Featuring 'Thirteen' on the flipside (originally appearing on Danzig 6:66 Satans Child whilst made abundantly more popular by Johnny Cash's cover version), this is a perfect little slice of sultry, macabre wax to get the Halloween ghouls doing their best hoedown.

Review: Originally released in 2022 as a tour-exclusive physical-only edition, in an attempt "to give people a chance to experience our records for the first time again on a physical format and to give the people at our shows the first chance to do so", Baltimore deathgrind extreme metal auteurs Full Of Hell have finally re-pressed their chaotic Aurora Leaking From An Open Wound 7" for mass decimation. Totalling at six minutes spread out over three cuts of reliably horrific, cascading, blackened grinding hardcore mayhem, the project can now be viewed through a more retrospective lens following their expansive forays into grunge, noise-rock and shoegaze on last year's Nothing collaborative LP When No Birds Sang as well as their latest genre-dissolving fever-dream of a sixth full-length Coagulated Bliss. Take note, this single offers none of these future melodic and dynamic experiments, staying firmly rooted in their original domain of caustic, industrial-tinged cavernous dread.

Review: We Take No Prisoners is a definitive collection of the band's singles from 1995 to 2006, presented as a nine 7" single box set, and expanded double CD and digital editions. Spanning tracks like the relentless 'Sacrifice', their distinctive cover of the Sex Pistols' 'God Save The Queen', and the semi-acoustic 'Whorehouse Blues', the compilation highlights the band's enduring songwriting talent. The set also includes rare live and radio edits, along with a previously unreleased promo interview with Lemmy and Mikkey Dee from 2004. This collection captures the essence of an era and the songs that fuelled the success of the albums they came from.
