Notes: 2023 sees the 50th anniversary of what is widely regarded as Thin Lizzy's breakthrough album 'Vagabonds Of The Western World' featuring their first UK top ten single 'Whiskey In The Jar' and 'The Rocker' which would go on to be one of the band's signature tunes, so much so that it was the last song they ever performed at their final show in 1983. To celebrate the album's golden anniversary, the Blu ray formats feature Atmos mixes for the first time.

Notes: Pet Shop Boys' Blu-ray edition of "Nonetheless", features Dolby Atmos and high-resolution stereo mixes of the new PSB album, and the official video for "Loneliness".

Pet Shop Boys release their brand new studio album 'Nonetheless' on Parlophone Records on April 26th 2024.

The album is the duo's first with producer James Ford, who has previously worked with artists including Arctic Monkeys, Depeche Mode, Blur, Gorillaz and Simian Mobile Disco. The album also sees the duo return to Parlophone, the label which released their iconic and massively successful material spanning between 1985 and 2012.

'Nonetheless' features 10 brand new tracks, recorded and mixed in London last year, primarily at James Ford's studio in East London. The orchestra and backing vocals were recorded at The Church studio in North London.

Notes: HAVE YOU GOT IT YET? is the story of Syd Barrett & Pink Floyd, directed by Roddy Bogawa, produced by Orian Williams, and features legendary artist & designer the late Storm Thorgerson as interviewer. Notes: In 2023, Clapton hosted and curated the seventh instalment of his Crossroads Guitar Festival on September 23 and 24 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, CA. It notably marked the event's return after a four-year break, selling out the iconic arena on both days. Once again, Clapton carefully assembled a powerhouse cohort of influential guitarists representing various eras and styles. The impressive lineup boasted Joe Bonamassa, Clapton, Gary Clark Jr., Sheryl Crow, Eric Gales, H.E.R., Christone 'Kingfish' Ingram, Los Lobos, John Mayer, The Marcus King Band, Roger McGuinn, John McLaughlin, Santana, The Wallflowers, and many more. Notes: As The Rolling Stones were preparing to play two nights at Wembley Stadium in June 1999, their first London shows in four years, they announced a surprise show at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire for June 8, 1999. An intimate crowd of 1,800 lucky fans were treated to a number of rarely heard gems over the course of 96 minutes. As Mick Jagger stated from the stage that night, "If you want to see the hits go to the big place down the road." And as promised, the deep cuts were deep - "Melody" performed for the first time since 1977, while "Moon Is Up" was brought to the stage for the only time in the band's live career. Sheryl Crow, who opened the show, joins the band during "Honky Tonk Women."

Notes: 'Born To Boogie' is the Ringo Starr-directed 1972 film that captures Marc Bolan and T. Rex at the height of their popularity, as 'T. Rextasy' swept the nation.

Notes: 'Pyramid', originally released in May 1978, is a concept album centred on the pyramids of Giza. As with other APP albums, the focus was on very high-quality studio sound production, and they recorded the album at Abbey Road Studios in London. There were a variety of different lead vocalists employed including John Miles, Colin Blunstone, Lenny Zakatek, David Paton, Jack Harris and Dean Ford. Plus, a selection of session musicians such as guitarist Ian Bairnson and drummer Stuart Elliott with arrangements by Andrew Powell.

Notes: Originally shown in 1998, Big Train was the eagerly awaited follow-up to Father Ted from writers Graham Linehan and Arthur Matthews. Resisting the pressure to make another sitcom, Big Train is, instead, a sketch show in the best Monty Python tradition, updated with influences from arch-surrealist Chris Morris as well as the contemporary The Fast Show. The sketches can be joyously odd--Pythonesque firefighting showjumpers, the evil hypnotist, and the outrageous onanistic office workers, for example--but the show never neglects to keep the punchlines coming thick and fast (though the animated staring contest does rather drag after a while). The cast comprises some of the best new names in comedy, including Kevin Eldon, Simon Pegg, Mark Heap, Julia Davis and Amelia Bullmore (who went on to become Alan Partridge's Ukrainian girlfriend).

Series 2 didn't pull into the platform until 2002, by which time Graham Linehan was absent writing Black Books. But Arthur Matthews maintains the quality of the first series on the whole--the man with oversized hands, the creepy cult questionnaire, the zookeeper's recruitment agency--adding some spot-on French art house cinema spoofs and other movie-style take offs somewhat in the manner of Spaced, which Pegg and Heap had gone on to make. That duo return here for more silliness along with new cast members Rebecca Front (The Day Today, Knowing Me, Knowing You) and Tracey-Ann Oberman (better known now as Chrissie Watts in Eastenders).

On the DVD: Big Train belatedly arrives on DVD in a two-disc set which includes a plethora of deleted scenes for both Series 1 and 2. There are cast biogs plus three of the sketches as performed on a German TV sketch show. Commentary on the first series is by both writers, though happily Pegg, Heap and Eldon gatecrash halfway through. Matthews and Eldon join director and producer for the somewhat more straight-faced commentary on the second disc. Menu options thankfully include the treasurable "Play all" facility. --Mark Walker

There he filmed hour upon hour of VHS footage of the jaw-droppingly offensive Shock Rock band The Mentors, focusing on their infamous lead singer, 'El Duce.' 30 years later, the team behind The Nightmare and Room 237 and the editor of Leap of Faith: William Friedkin on The Exorcist uncover this dusty stockpile of long forgotten - and unseen - footage. They begin to piece together a picture of the man under the black executioner's hood and what his willfully offensive act and controversial views might tell us about 21st century America. An Incendiary, tragicomic documentary (midway between The Decline of Western Civilization and Crumb) which has been hailed as 'Essential Viewing' by CineVue and called 'Dark and Irresistible"' by director John Carpenter, The El Duce Tapes will chew you up, spit you out, and leave you floored.

Notes: Amidst the turmoil of the times, such as the spread of coronavirus and the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Gezan searched for ways to interact with people and pursued new music with the theme of "voice", at a live concert at the Hibiya Open Air Concert Hall. The performance of the new system "Million Wish Collective" was unveiled for the first time, and Hibiya was shaken with shock and joy. Directed by Shuichi Bamba, the vivid camerawork with 13 cameras with different textures captures the complexity of this world and approaches the true meaning of what a rock band is. Tickets for this performance, which was greeted with the largest capacity in their career, were sold out quickly at full capacity. The package is a special jacket with a bright red photo of Taro Mizutani stamped with gold foil wrapped in a special jacket called the December Newspaper, and the newspaper consists of the members' columns and illustrations. It is a work full of imagination that presents hope after regaining human wildness and flesh in a distorted era.

This concert was filmed on May 7, 2016 in Prague during Hans Zimmer's hugely successful European concert tour. Zimmer was accompanied by a band, orchestra and choir, 72 musicians in total, including guitarist Johnny Marr (of The Smiths). The staging was spectacular with a ground-breaking light show, stunning visuals, and a state-of-the-art sound system. Hans Zimmer performs on multiple instruments and gives introductory insights to many of the pieces during the concert.

With a multi-award winning career reaching back to the mid-eighties, Zimmer (whose film scores have also earned 2 Golden Globes, 4 Grammys, 4 Satellite Awards, 3 Saturn Awards and 3 Classical Brit Awards along with many more nominations), has developed close working relationships with renowned directors such as Ridley Scott, Tony Scott, Michael Bay, Ron Howard, Gore Verbinski and Christopher Nolan. His credits include some of the biggest blockbuster movies of all time along with acclaimed TV series such as The Crown and Planet Earth II.

Notes: Kenso, led by guitarist Yoshihisa Shimizu, debuted in Japan in the dark days of the 80's when progressive rock was in the doldrums worldwide and continues to shine with brilliant iridescence to this day.

This collection was produced by the band in 2000 and sold in very small quantities, and consists of rare studio footage from the recording of their albums, as well as footage of their heated live performances at various venues from 1983 to 1999.
