Underground Resistance alumni Scan 7 spew forth four rather glommy, malleable techno goos. 'Addicted' and 'Light Seekers' are delightfully simple yet well twinned tracks, charming up the A-side; the former track builds on class-ick acid formulae of cliffhanging repetitions and languorously delivered narrations - of course reminiscent of Phuture's 'Acid Tracks' - and the latter's core, convected "womp" hears things move into increasingly plasmic vats. Driblet triplets ensue on 'Born Out Of Darkness', while 'Code 7' veers meta and self-referential, deploying ringtone tings and what sound like social media notification sound effects. Eerie and muted, just how the founding fathers of techno did it right.
