Vault Series 10.0 vinyl

There's a fearsome storm a-brewing in the Vault Series camp, and it's being whipped up by two of the label's most prolific contributors, Sawlin and Subjected. Pairing up for the tenth in the label's titular venture, there's a definite feeling of no-holds-barred on this record. Brutalist techno crafted in line with the tough Berghain strain of the genre gets contorted in this instance, whether it be worn away entirely or simply shaken up. "Open" is a lurching beast drowning in its own static interference, while a lone tom registers somewhere in the deeps below, with little else to hold on to. "FM4" is a more forthright slice of techno, but with sheet metal and glass flitting in between all the elements to create an endless maze of reflections.
