In a rare but not unheard-of move by dance music royalty remixing the work of pop music royalty, Terry Farley and Wade Teo here jointly venture out of the studio-cave for a notable remix of an as yet unreleased Primal Scream track. Having already created seminal remixes of two of the band's most lauded singles, 'Loaded' and 'Come Together', they here elevate the art of the remix to that of sacrament, teasing the original composition only by way of the rerub first. Clever move indeed. Farley and Teo's version - this single-sided pressing of which were are oh so mysteriously privy to now - brings ruminant Twin Peaksy synths, tensile basses and spectral gospel ad-libs to an all-round killer sonic happy pill, one albeit prescribed for auricular administration (not oral). We can only guess what the incipient Primal Scream tune will sound like, but we do know one thing for sure: that, in a parallactic fashion, our take on it will never be the same now that we've heard these versions first.
