This sweet 12" is the first of what is a two part series on the Dutch label Between Places by the talented Obergman. The rich electro offerings brim with cyborg funk and robotic deepness and manage to be both fully primed for dancing, but also nicely cinematic. 'Aerobahn' sets off on a Drexcyian vibe with rippling bass and crisp snares, 'Jacobian Determinant' continues on a similar but slightly darker tip and 'Dirac Spinor' is lit up with pixelated melodies. 'Julius Mosca' slows things down to close. This is a well rounded record that explores four different moods with equal elan.
