Given the amount of jobs he has (Elevator Sound shop owner, modular synth show promoter and superclub manager, for starters) we often wonder how Marco Bernardi finds time to sleep, let alone conjure up new EPs of high quality machine music. This outing on Brokntoys is another fine collection from the Bristol-based Glaswegian. Highlights are plentiful throughout, from the acid-flecked deep electro melodiousness of "Super Deep Voices" and glacial, off-kilter IDM warmth of "Plat+Form", to the deep space modular funk of "Miscopol" and the foreboding throb of the EP's acid-laden closing cut, "Soijien". Smart work from Bernadi... as usual.
