Review: Wormhole Wisdom's next three outings are reissues of Diode material that has become hugely sought after, as well as including Grumptronix's previously unheard tune "The Witching Hour": it is a brilliantly haunting electro tune with an eerie baseline echoing out into an empty sky while busy drums shuffle and wiggle in the foreground. As for Diode, "06Funk" is an elastic electro track with whip-snapping hits and sci-fi pads that tie you in knots, while "Waterhole" is a more thoughtful and insular track thanks to the gentle undulations of acid and melancholic chords that dampen down the icy hi hats.

Review: Long before he settled on the now familiar Jimpster alias, Freerange Records co-founder Jamie Odell released a handful of tracks and singles under a variety of now forgotten aliases. One of those was Loxodrome, a one-off pseudonym utilized for a now in-demand EP of techno and house fusions on Jumpin' & Pumpin'. Now reissued for the first time since, the 12" has lost none of its intergalactic charms. Check first the spacey ambient synths and post-bleep UK techno grooves of "Heavy Ride", before turning your attention to the deep space Motor City vibes of "Blue Skies". The bleeps return on the warm and dreamy tech-house jam "Red Society", while "Avenue T" is a deep, drowsy and sun-kissed chunk of "Artificial Intelligence" era electro/tech-house fusion.

Review: This year marks the 30th anniversary of the much mythologised Marine Boy EP that landed in 1990. It perfectly captures the sounds of the time - dreamscape synths, far-sighted techno and subtle rushes of euphoria. Both 'Laura Laura' and 'La Monde Marine' have been remastered from the original DAT recordings, and added for extra good measure are some previously unreleased Marine Boy tunes from 1990 to 1992. 'This City (PX edit)' is a super punchy affair with aching female coos, while 'Laura Laura' has a perfect old school bassline. These are decidedly old school tunes but will fit right into any eclectic set if done well.

Written and produced by Bill Fuller & Ben Garner between 1995-1996 and previously released on Fishtank return to the surface in 2022 via Parts Unknown and Craigie Knowes reissue label, Wormhole Wisdom. Vinyl only release. Remastered with care from the original recordings by Johanz Westerman at Ballyhoo Studio Mastering, NL. Supposedly, it's for DJ use only, but we can't police that.
