Review: "Foreword by Ben (For Those That Knoe)
As a young person growing up in West Yorkshire, my experiences of true underground clubbing became intertwined with names such as Back to Basics, 20/20 Vision and Carl Finlow. That period in the early 2000's became a life-affirming time for my young self. Frequent trips to Back to Basics, then held at the Mint Club helped forge my outlook on electronic music and how it should be played in a club environment. I would often hear stories about ""the Farm"" and the late night parties and studio sessions. The anecdotes and tales of US icons recording in the countryside with the local guys provided only a small insight into the creativity and fun that must have gone on during those years. Cut to now in 2017, whilst looking back to those times more than fifteen years ago, I can proudly say that the dots have been joined and the connections now formally established. I'm immensely proud to say that Carl Finlow, the understated king of British electro, and I, have put together a selection of his works that provides a themed snapshot into his musical history.

The music I have chosen with Carl may not be all of his biggest tracks but it is the music that is special to me. The selection has a vibe, one that is deep and emotive, music for the head as well as the feet. I hope you hear it in the same way.

If you don't know Carl Finlow, now you knoe."

Minimal/Tech House
  1. Track 2
  2. Track 1
  3. Track 7
Review: For Those That Knoe is proud to present some of the freshest and timeless sounds the UK has to offer from Numonika, sounding as good now as they would have done when recorded ten years ago. Three tracks from the original demo CD have been selected, compiled, re-mastered and pressed by For Those That Knoe onto a special 12" for collectors and club DJs alike.
In true Knoe fashion, release 4/1 is a compilation of tracks unearthed from a CD squirrelled away for a decade in a dusty loft. The CD in question was loaded with unreleased and untitled material from the owners of and producers for two of the UK's rarest and sought after tech house labels rinsed by DJs such as Craig Richards in the late 90s.

Deep House
  1. Pieces Of Dream
  2. Leroy Garage
  3. New Jersey
  4. Destiny
Review: British deep house veteran Sir Lord Commix is the latest producer to hand over DATs of forgotten late '90s studio sessions to the team behind For Those That Knoe. Predictably, they've chosen four great cuts to release. First up you'll find the elastic synths, alien melodies and fizzing Motor City percussion of early tech-house style shuffler "Pieces Of Dream", before the P-funk-influenced UK-US garage fusion of "Leroy Garage" takes us in an altogether breezier direction. Flip for the Jovonn style synthesizer melodies and groovy garage rhythms of "New Jersey", and the electro-inspired intelligent techno dreaminess of "Destiny".

Techno
  1. Carpet Dancer (6:43)
  2. Juxtaposition (6:50)
  3. Whatever Comes To Mind (7:18)
Review: Casey Tucker has been synonymous with Boe's sister label For Those That Knoe, making a shining example of the imprint's mission to unearth music from long-serving, overlooked talents in the field of Detroit-flavoured house and techno. On this third installment, Tucker's distinctive style positively leaps out of the speakers. "Carpet Dancer" is a ragged yet effervescent twist of plush techno melodics and spirited beat manipulation, while "Juxtaposition" maintains the sparkling synth work while bringing the drums in line. "Whatever Comes To Mind" is the deeper offering on the record, bringing balance to another fine missive from a hidden gem of an artist.
