SetonixSynth Arcane Knowledge 1U Vintage VCA/Overdrive Module
Cat: 1062985 Rel: 21 Feb 25

The SetonixSynth Arcane Knowledge marries two classic audio circuits to create a "utility flavour" module
Notes: SetonixSynth Arcane Knowledge Vintage VCA / Overdrive

The SetonixSynth Arcane Knowledge marries two classic audio circuits to create a "utility flavour" module. First up is a discrete transistor core VCA stage similar to those found in very early modular synths: not the cleanest or most precise amplifier, but rather full of harmonic richness and color to bring a little kick to those squeaky clean waveforms.

This VCA may be used on its own or through the switchable Drive circuit, which slaps a high-gain Tube Screamer-style soft clipping overdrive stage on the audio signal. Unlike the Tube Screamer, however, the Arcane Knowledge's drive stage uses different diodes in the forward and reverse position, creating asymmetric clipping with more emphasis of even order harmonics. Using the rear trimmer, this stage can be configured to give the VCA output signal anything from a tasty boost to fully crunched sonic mayhem.

For those looking to liven up their sound, sometimes the old ways are best. Enlighten yourself: it's the Arcane Knowledge!

SetonixSynth Laka Sequential Voltage Processor & Mixer Module
SetonixSynth Laka Sequential Voltage Processor & Mixer Module (attenuator/CV modulation/mixer/polarizer/sequencer/switch/uility synth module)
Cat: 948342

Sequential voltage processor and mixer module in 16HP.
Notes: SetonixSynth's Laka is a powerful, multi-functional and extraordinarily flexible hub for flipping, offsetting, combining, and re-routing voltage signals throughout a Eurorack modular system of any size. Equally at home manipulating audio or control voltages, Laka will quickly make itself at home in the thick of each and every patch, with its uses limited mostly by imagination.

Each of Laka's four channels offers a separate high-headroom bi-polar CV processor (also known as an attenuverter) with its own offset, perfect for "dialling in" a signal for optimal use with other modules. Each channel offers a high degree of control including a "Zero" switch and bi-colour LED indicator. The "solo" output of each channel is available at all times via its own output jack, but the channels are also available in various mixtures via the three Submix outputs (A+B, B+C, C+D) and main Mix output (A+B+C+D).

The four Channel outputs are also combined in a more novel way via the Sequential section. The right side of the module is dedicated to selecting one of the four Channel outputs and routing it to the Sequential output. This section is controlled by a high-quality manual pushbutton, a Clock input capable of operating at audio rates, a Reset logic input, and a switch controlling the number of steps. This section allows a user to create complex CV waveforms from the four Channels, flip through audio, "audition" new sounds or signals, and numerous other functions.

Voltage processing just got a lot more fun: Laka is here!

SetonixSynth Noise Complaint 1U Quad Normalized Attenuator Module
Cat: 948361 Rel: 21 Feb 25

Quad normalized passive attenuator and mute module in 22HP.
Notes: The Noise Complaint! is a passive utility module which provides a bank of four passive attenuators which can be used with audio or CV. Each of the Noise Complaint’s four inputs are normalized (left to right), so that with nothing patched to a channel’s input it can be used as an attenuated mult, distributing up to four versions of one input signal and opening up myriad control possibilities, such as use of Channel One as a Macro control over the three other outputs. Channels 1-3 also have muting switches for performance-friendliness and preservation of settings.

The Noise Complaint! has proven to be a very useful module for attenuation of all kinds, and adds a nice-feeling, sturdy set of performance controls to what is often a cluttered rack full of densely-packed jacks and tiny attenuation knobs.

SetonixSynth Sands Of Time 1U Filtered Noise Source Module
Cat: 1062988 Rel: 21 Feb 25

A compact 1U noise source which contains two separate noise circuits
Notes: SetonixSynth Sands Of Time 1U Filtered Noise Source Module

The SetonixSynth Sands of Time is a compact 1U noise source which contains two separate noise circuits: a transistor-based analog noise generator similar to those used in many classic modular synth systems of the '60s and '70s, and a CMOS logic-based fixed oscillator bank as found in some of the great drum machines of the '80s, particularly of the TR series.

Either or both of these noise sources may be routed to a sweepable active bandpass filter, perfect for shaping the noise into many different "flavors," from low-frequency rumble, to chest-thumping midrange snare source, to hissing raw hi-hat noise and everything in between.

In a very small package, the Sands of Time provides a full palette of audio frequencies and Noise-like sounds which are useful in many popular patching techniques, especially analog drum patches and "Noise Walls" along with the generation of pseudo-random voltages for use with Sample & Holds, slew generators, and more.

Though it demands just 10hp of 1U rack space, the Sands of Time is still a useful and diverse noise source with some "oomph," a crucial yet often overlooked addition to any setup or patch.

SetonixSynth Shaka 8 Voltage Controlled Stereo Matrix Mixer Module
Cat: 1062991 Rel: 21 Feb 25

The Shaka-8 Eurorack module uses high-quality stereo VCAs with all-analogue signal paths to create a powerful, intuitive, and performance-ready solution for routing audio between stereo (or mono) oscillators, samplers, effects and more
Notes: The Shaka-8 Eurorack module uses high-quality stereo VCAs with all-analogue signal paths to create a powerful, intuitive, and performance-ready solution for routing audio between stereo (or mono) oscillators, samplers, effects and more.

The Shaka-8 operates in much the same way as a typical stereo audio matrix mixer, with the send level of each input to each output controlled by the corresponding knob, and the resulting "mix" being a sum of the knob settings in each column, added to the CV input corresponding to each knob.

Even better, you can easily chain Shaka-4 expanders to a main Shaka-8 unit to create matrices of 4x3, 4x4, or even more! Each channel has the same high quality signal path as the main unit. Now you can send stereo audio to all the effects you like!

Some patch ideas

Basic Effects Send/Return: Patch an Audio Output channel to the Audio Input of an effect such as a delay or reverb, and patch the fully Wet output of the effect to an Audio Input of the Shaka-8. Patch up to three audio signals to the other inputs of the Shaka-8. Use the knobs and CV inputs for each audio signal to control the send level to the effect, and use the knob and CV input between the effects module's input and output to control feedback amount.

Parallel filtering: Patch a stereo filter in an "effects loop" style as detailed in the previous patch idea. Turn up the resonance or use feedback to create interesting spectral content related to the main audio inputs.

Stereo Amplitude Modulation: Patch a stereo audio signal to an input audio channel and feed a simple audio-rate oscillator waveform to the CV input, then monitor the output. Adjust the Initial knob to offset the CV signal for best response.

SetonixSynth Shaka-4 Stereo Matrix Expander Module For Shaka-8
Cat: 1062996 Rel: 21 Feb 25

Expander module for Shaka-8
Notes: The Shaka system is a Voltage-Controlled Stereo Matrix Mixer with an all-analog signal path. While it is similar in function to other Stereo Matrix Mixers, the Shaka-8 uses high quality audio VCAs to enable voltage control over each matrix patch point, i.e. the send level of each L/R pair of inputs to each L/R pair of outputs.

In addition to the 4 input and 2 output channels on the Shaka-8, the Matrix may be expanded to a 4x3, 4x4 or more matrix mixer by chaining Shaka-4 Stereo Matrix Expanders to the main unit via a 12-pin connector on the back of the Shaka-8. The Shaka-4 cannot be used without a main Shaka-8 unit.

The Shaka-8 and Shaka-4 operate in much the same way as a typical stereo audio matrix mixer, with the send level of each input to each output controlled by the corresponding knob, and the resulting "mix" being a sum of the knob settings in each column, added to the CV input corresponding to each knob.

For Eurorack users hungry for interesting new ways to route stereo or mono filters, oscillators, and effects, the Shaka-8 and Shaka-4 are sure to provide an affordable, flexible, and highly useful patching ecosystem to explore.

Summary of Functions

L/R Audio Inputs 1-4: AC-coupled stereo input channels. Audio content below 5 Hz is removed from each input for highest quality audio response. If a signal is patched to a channel's L input and the R input is left unpatched, the R input will be normalized to the signal patched to the L input so that mono and stereo signals may be summed and used together.

Initial Level Controls: Sets the initial gain level of each stereo Audio Input pair as it is routed to the corresponding stereo Audio Output pair, with a maximum Initial gain of 1:1 or Unity gain and a maximum attenuation of -100dB--in practice extremely quiet. Note that the input signal can be pushed past unity gain if the Initial Level control is turned up while external CV is also applied to the matrix point.

CV Inputs: Exponential Control Voltage inputs which are summed with the related Initial Gain knob to control the level of the matrix point. The Shaka-8 and Shaka-4 can accept bi-polar voltages at the CV inputs, with the Initial Level control used to compensate.

L/R Audio Outputs: Stereo mix outputs. The audio present at each pair of Outputs is the sum of all the input signals, at the gain levels controlled by the column of Initial knobs and CV inputs directly above it.

SetonixSynth SkyWave Segmented VCO Module
Cat: 1064128 Rel: 21 Feb 25

An all-analogue voltage controlled oscillator capable of producing many different timbres and unique harmonic behaviours
Notes: The SetonixSynth SkyWave is an all-analogue voltage controlled oscillator capable of producing many different timbres and unique harmonic behaviours, thanks to an original step-based control scheme which allows the user to dial in completely different wave-shapes and levels for successive oscillator cycles.

This complex VCO uses an internal feedback loop with the clock output of the oscillator triggering a step sequencer which in turn cycles through settings at the frequency of the core oscillator, thus changing the shape and level of the waveform output on a per-cycle basis while also staying in tune and tracking pitch like a typical VCO.

SetonixSynth/Tidbit Audio Psychedelic Voltage Processor Quad LED Chaos & Random Module
Cat: 948368 Rel: 21 Feb 25

Quad LED chaos and random module in 8HP.
Notes: The SetonixSynth/Tidbit Audio Psychedelic Voltage Processor, or PVP, is a four-channel chaos module. It uses colour-changing LEDs to produce fluctuating voltages in response to the Channel input, with each channel normalized in series to create increasingly chaotic "taps" that can be used one after another for different variations.

Any positive voltage input such as unipolar LFOs, envelopes, stepped voltages, or simply the onboard normalized voltage patched to a channel input is reproduced approximately on each channel output, with the PVP inducing unpredictable fluctuations due to the variable current consumed by an LED circuit with a mind of its own.

SetonixSynth/Tidbit Audio Solar Gravity Vactrol Response VCA Module
Cat: 948372 Rel: 21 Feb 25

Vactrol response voltage controlled amplifier module in 4HP.
Notes: The Solar Gravity from SetonixSynth and Tidbit Audio is an analogue vactrol-based VCA designed to bring the lovely response of optocouplers into the realm of clean, performance-based Eurorack VCAs. Starting with this simple concept, the Solar Gravity utilizes some neat active circuitry to significantly reduce the bleed inherent in vactrol-based VCAs and to provide the user with lots of control over the level, direction, and response of incoming control voltage.

Though it's primarily designed for use with audio signals, the Solar Gravity can also be used to control the level of CV such as envelopes or stepped voltages with a unique vactrol response through its DC-coupled input.
