Qu-Bit Aurora Spectral Reverb Module (black)
Qu-Bit Aurora Spectral Reverb Module (black) (dual/stereo/effect/pitch shifter/reverb synth module)
Cat: 766024 Rel: 20 May 22

A spectral reverb with true stereo IO.
Notes: Reverb. Well...kind of.

Welcome to Aurora, a spectral reverb capable of a wide palette of sounds: from lush caverns and whale songs, to alien textures you've never created before. And likely, will invoke a hunger for exploration you felt when you first touched a modular synth.

Aurora uses a phase vocoder audio engine which separates the input signal's time and pitch domains. By blurring these signals you can achieve beautiful time-stretched tails, or cybernetic metallic effects.

Since Aurora's sonic response is entirely dependent on the input signal, no two patches will sound alike, lending itself to an infinite world of surprise and discovery.

Discovery. It's why we are all here.

A portion of all Aurora proceeds will help the fight against shrinking ice caps and dwindling polar bear populations.

Tech Specs

Width: 12HP
Depth: 22mm

Qu-Bit Bloom Fractal Sequencer Module
Qu-Bit Bloom Fractal Sequencer Module (sequencer synth module)
Cat: 740273 Rel: 02 Oct 19

A fractal sequencer capable of generating infinitely evolving melodies with a host of musical features.
Notes: If we're honest we don't really understand fractals. Something to do with maths, apparently. But that doesn't really matter because we do understand this sequencer module, which is ideal for randomly twisting and morphing sequences.

Supplier notes:
Bloom is a fractal sequencer capable of generating infinitely evolving melodies with a host of musical features.

At its core is a powerful 32 step sequencer with two independent channels and an intuitive interface. What makes the Bloom come alive are its fractal algorithms which can transform existing sequences into powerful melodies, or even generate new patterns altogether. The base sequence is known as the Trunk and can be programmed by hand, or automatically generated with the Mutate function. Once a Trunk sequence is in place, fractal transformations are only a knob turn away by using the Branch and path controls. Each new Branch adds a complete variation to the base sequence and Path determines its passage through the set of recursively generated sub-sequences, offering a unique take on the melody with each turn of the knob.

Bring your sequencing to life with Bloom.

Qu-Bit Bloom v2 Fractal Sequencer Module
Cat: 1086697 Rel: 27 May 25

Updated version of Qu-Bit's Bloom sequencer module, boasting 3 channels with 64 steps per channel.
Notes: Inspire new growth in your musical garden with Bloom, a fractal sequencer capable of generating infinitely evolving melodies.

In its latest iteration, Bloom is a powerful 3-channel, 64-step CV and gate sequencer with a plethora of additional features and configurability compared to its predecessor. Apply clock-synced ratchets per step, dial in the Mutation range for random note variation, and even save and recall your Branches with your saved sequence!

Each channel now has a new output: Mod! The Mod output is a third, modulation-focused output that stays in sync with your melodic CV and rhythmic Gate outputs. Patch up dubstep-style filter madness, build sequenced amplitude or panning variations into your signal, or send a no-frills LFO that syncs perfectly with your patch!

Bloom's roots are grounded in algorithmic variation and probability. Sequences can be dynamically resized and rotated, while notes can receive ornamental musical trills or arpeggios. There are also new probabilistic controls beyond Mutate, including random step muting, ratcheting, and slewing!

Bloom's front panel now features a Reseed button, which dice-rolls a whole new sequence for you, as well as a MIDI output that sends all sequence data through a 3.5mm TRS MIDI jack!

Beyond the front panel controls, Narwhal brings even greater flexibility to Bloom. Set custom settings, use a full sequence designer interface to import sequences into your Bloom, and so much more.

Plant the seeds of your next patch with Bloom.

A sample and hold, noise source and random voltage generator in 4HP
Notes: Nano Rand v2 is a reissue of the classic micro random module. It features a sample and hold, noise source, and random voltage generator in 4HP. It takes inspiration from and improves upon the analogue concept of a random voltage module; moving forward in leaps and bounds into the digital domain.

At its core is an 8 bit microcontroller which allows for an extremely versatile, and more importantly, musical type of random. Containing four random voltage algorithms that include random stepped voltages, random LFO waveforms and frequencies, random frequency audio rate square waves, and a combination of all algorithms, Nano Rand creates a signal that would otherwise take a multitude of modules to produce. On top of the fluctuating random voltage output, it is also capable of producing the most musical random gate output in the Eurorack format. When externally clocked, Nano Rand generates random gate outputs that are musically related to the incoming clock signal. It chooses between eighth, sixteenth, quarter and many other rhythmic divisions, creating unique evolving rhythms.

With a clean, intuitive interface and more random per square millimetre than ever before, Nano Rand is the ultimate in musically significant aleatoric meanderings.

Changes from v1:

- Noise output converted to analogue white noise circuit with extremely flat frequency response
- Algo button converted to smaller version
- Added reverse power protection

Qu-Bit Nautilus Sub-Nautical Complex Delay Network Module (black)
Cat: 901328 Rel: 31 Oct 22

Nautilus is a complex delay network inspired by sub-nautical communications and their interaction with the environment.
Notes: We're gonna need a bigger boat.

Nautilus is a complex delay network inspired by sub-nautical communications and their interaction with the environment. In essence, Nautilus is a stereo delay consisting of 8 unique delay lines which can be connected and synced in interesting ways. Each time Nautilus pings its sonar system, the generated topography reveals itself through the delay, all while staying in time with the internal or external clock. Complex feedback interactions plunge sounds to new depths, while related delay lines pull fragments of sound in different directions. Manipulate the delay lines even further by configuring the the stereo receptors, sonar frequencies, and aquatic materials that filter the space between Nautilus and its surroundings.

Though Nautilus is a delay effect at heart, it is also a CV/Gate generator. The Sonar Output creates either a unique Gate signal, or a unique CV signal algorithmically generated from Nautilus's findings. Drive other parts of your patch with pings from the delay network, or use the generated topography as a modulation source.

From the deep ocean trenches, to shimmering tropical reefs, Nautilus is the ultimate exploratory delay network.

Tech Specs:

Width: 14HP
Depth: 22mm
Power Consumption: +12V=215mA, -12V=5mA, +5V=0mA

Record. Mangle. Destroy.

Nebulae is a granular sampler and DSP platform. Its phase vocoder audio engine provides elastic audio, which can be time stretched, granularized, and mangled to no end. With independent control over pitch and speed, and granular controls such as overlap, window, and density, finding new sonic territory is only a knob turn away. Nebulae can use live audio input, a recorded buffer, or audio files as the source material for its powerful audio manipulations. The live input buffer can record up to five minutes of stereo audio at 48kHz, 24 bit. In addition, up to 75 MB of stereo audio can be loaded simultaneously through the USB port. No naming convention or special formatting necessary; just plug and play.

Nebulae lives a double life as an open source DSP platform with an extensive library of off the shelf alternate instruments. You can turn the module into a lush reverb, spectral delay, or tape-style looper simply by loading a new file onto the flash drive. Do you want to tweak one aspect of an existing instrument, even the default functionality? No problem. No prior coding knowledge is necessary to tweak and refine existing firmware to your liking or start with one of our templates. Alternate firmware files can be written with Pure Data, Csound, SuperCollider, and even bare-bones C programs.

Qu-Bit Prism Multi-Dimensional Signal Processor Module
Cat: 725423 Rel: 19 Mar 19

A multidimensional signal processor that creates a framework for the spectral metamorphosis of any input signal
Notes: Prism is a multidimensional signal processor that creates a framework for the spectral metamorphosis of any input signal. This stereo audio buffer can be navigated through on 3 axes, each of which provides a different sonic journey through its array of time based controls. The X and Z planes are home to a flexible delay line capable of long clocked delays, slapback echo, or comb filtered vocoder-esque timbres. On the Y axis is the decimate control.

This sets the audio fidelity of the buffer by manipulating the sample rate and bit depth of the output. A state variable filter with configurable low pass, high pass, and band pass outputs can be enabled at the beginning or end of the signal chain providing yet another dimension of spectral transformation. And thanks to its digital architecture, the current buffer contents can be locked in place with the Freeze control, creating glitch and beat repeat effects which can be synced to an external clock source.

The Prism blurs the lines between DSP effect, filter, and looper and transcends into a new realm of uncharted audio processing.

Qu-Bit Pulsar Burst Generator/Euclidean Gate Sequencer Module (silver)
Cat: 655469 Rel: 17 Jul 17

A burst generator inspired by stars that output beams of electromagnetic radiation in space
Notes: Pulsar is a burst generator inspired by stars that output beams of electromagnetic radiation in space. Once keyed, a stream of triggers are dispersed across four outputs. Environmental factors like absorb and gravity alter the behaviour of each burst and affect its movement through time. Eight unique dispersion modes provide a range of stream types including Euclidean, binary, random, and fractal. Galactic clocks for the Eurorack system.

Qu-Bit Scanned Organic Wavetable VCO Module (black)
Cat: 677589 Rel: 15 Oct 18

Organic wavetable oscillator Module - 16HP
Notes: Scanned is an organic wavetable oscillator. It uses an unexplored technique known as Scanned Synthesis to animate wavetables that are created in real-time. This synthesis method was conceived by the father of computer music, Max Mathews, as the next paradigm in digital oscillators, and until now, has never been implemented on hardware.

The wavetables are dynamically generated from a set of "objects" tied together on a virtual string. These objects have physical properties including Mass, Stiffness, and Damping which affect the way that the string moves through space and time. Unlike physical modelling, however, this algorithm is a means of creating new electronic sounds, not replicating acoustic instruments.

To animate the waveform, the objects are morphed into the currently selected hammer shape and then released. This excitation of the sound generates evolving timbral landscapes that contain harmonic movement without external modulation. The hammer section also determines whether Scanned is a free-running oscillator, or a triggered sound source allowing it to function as a complete voice without additional filters or VCAs.

Qu-Bit Stardust Cosmic Tape Looper Module
Cat: 1051702 Rel: 25 Nov 24

Cosmic tape looper module - 18HP
Notes: Meet Stardust, a cosmic tape looper.

The foundation of Stardust is a stereo looper with all the essential controls to record and manipulate sound, while supporting click-less looping transitions, an ultra-low noise floor, and high-fidelity audio hardware. However, getting the perfect loop is only half of the equation, Stardust also focuses on the texture and vibe of your recordings. Dial in a classic tape machine style warmth with wow & flutter/tape hiss controls, or take Stardust to new horizons with DSP effects. And, much like the tape-machines it takes it's inspiration from, Stardust can splice and rearrange its loops at the twist of a knob.

With an impressive set of front panel controls, the ability to save, recall, or export recordings, load samples via an included USB flash drive, and a host of configurable settings via our web editor Narwhal, Stardust is a comprehensive looper device.

Power Consumption: +12V=201mA, -12V=13mA, +5V=0mA

Qu-Bit Synapse Crossfading Switch Module (black faceplate)
Qu-Bit Synapse Crossfading Switch Module (black faceplate) (mixer/quad/switch/utility/VCA/attenuator/CV modulation/LFO synth module)
Cat: 677586 Rel: 30 Aug 18

Voltage controlled, cross fading switch - 20HP
Notes: Synapse is a crossfading switch with a signal path that can be rearranged on the fly. Its dynamic routing and mixing functionality make it capable of turning static waveforms into evolving soundscapes.

The core of Synapse is comprised of four crossfade circuits chained to a sequential switch, all under digital control. This enables many intelligent behaviours that aren't possible in the analogue domain. Crossfade positions can be saved in up to eight memory locations for easy recall. These let you create sections within your patch, and travel through them with a single knob - all without repatching. In addition, the switch outputs can be rotated left, right, or randomized, enabling unique spatialization of sounds through effect chains, filters, or other mixers.

Synapse can process CV signals just as well as audio and even generate its own adjustable DC voltage for modulation. A configurable +5V DC offset is normalled to each B input, allowing it to function as a four step sequencer or eight stage stored voltage source without needing any additional modules.
