Review: On the a-side lays the floor killer "Hi Murda", a hypnotic and dubbed out beat that just rules and rolls. It has a massive bassline and twisted micro vocals clips. It is a trip on a groove rollercoaster that simply devastates everything on its road. the second track on the a-side is a short trip called "Track 8". A beat vignette that mixes deep house beats with contemporary sound design. On the flip side is "70", in a minimal funk style, it is the ultimate DJ weapon!

Review: Danish duo Lars Gregers and Simon Damborg aka Blagger return to Ripperton's Perspectiv imprint with this dope 12". "Gracefully Yours" chairs proceedings with gently undulating chords and subtle vocal clips working up a serious groove. Sharing the A Side is Anges' remix of "Mine To Keep", which is positively dripping in mid tempo Detroitisms. It's the standout track here, although the original on the flip ain't half bad either. Stimming chips in with a moody reworking which will please the minimal house heads immensely. Top 12" all round!

Review: Lazy Fat People are dropping their last offering on Perspectiv Records. Yep, this is the very last Lazy Fat People ever. Every good thing must come to an end I guess. On the a-side is "Low profile", a haunting monster track. So reduced that even the empty heads out there will feel the vibe! The 2000 and One remix on the flipside have both feet in the nineties. Rolling synth stabs, perfectly shuffling 808 toms, sweet hi-hats and a pile of a groove. With "Low Profile" Lazy Fat People say goodbye in style.

Review: French producer Nhar is welcomed onto Perspectiv with the Innerplace EP including two remixes from Irish hotshot John Daly. "Innerplace" brags an instantly memorable edge with bouncing synths and neo-romantic vocal taunts on the original, sinking its teeth into balmy sunset terraces and drowsy after party mornings. Daly's remix sticks with the vibe but adds a deeper touch, with drawn out chords and a slightly sped up vocal. On the flip, "Moonhole" punches harder than "Innerplace" with a luscious bassline groove and cosmic sirens. The same neo-romance is used in the vocals and on Daly's remix they are stripped away as the music itself is slowed and mellowed for a contrasting and ambient interpretation.

Review: Precious Soul is a track that accrues a psychedelic hue as it progresses. From the fairly staid beginnings of a deep house groove, the moment where dragged out vocals rise through the mix uttering the title is the cue for a multiplicity of spectral arrangements that combine to captivate. The dissonance between the shards of organ and rising synth washes in particular proves to be hauntingly beautiful. Philpot don Michel Baumann engages two sides of his many musical personalities on the flip, with his Jackmate remix dominated by the joyous combination of hissing hi-hats and a downward spiral of bass frequencies, with neat vocal edits and synth squiggles giving the remix an infectious retro flex. The dusty cabinet deep house shuffle of his Soulphiction remix is nice, but nowhere near as fun.

Review: Bribe Em With Candy marks a masterful ivory heavy debut on Ripperton's Perspectiv imprint for Eve White aka German duo Motec and Daniel Gelbe. "Sugarbabe" is an exqusitive start, with warm buttery melodic tones the perfect accompaniment for chord washes rich in emotive texture - all laid over infectiously rasping kicks and snares. The "Sugardub" tones down the percussive excesses to focus on imbuing the textures with subterranean psychedelia. On the flip "Anything Goes" opts for the more atmospheric approach, building slyly into glistening late night throb characterised by smooth Rhodes and piano that tingles down your spine. The soft acid bubbles that rise out of "Feel Better" make for an accomplished end to an excellent release from all involved.
