Review: Naura Records proudly presents the second part of the Bleak series with 3 new powerful tracks.

Review: Following an appearance last year on Cabrera, Santiago Naura is back on his own label to expound his vision of modernist techno even further. "Dust (Mix 1)" is a pumped up workout, all muscular drums and bold, chiseled synth hooks shimmering around the rhythmic core. "Dust (Mix 2)" is a more heads-down affair that locks into a cyclical groove for the late night crowd to lose themselves to. "Element" presides over the B side with a deeper approach that makes great use of interplay between different textures and tones to create energy and momentum while keeping the drums on the straight and narrow.

Review: A.1 "Rampage" is an explosive toolish techno tune, that submerges in a dark but atmosferic radiance with heavy pulsating drums and bass lines that engulfes into total deepness. A track frull of atitude. B.1 "Chase" on the flippside is another straight forward thinking production, that overcomes with overdimensional chords and with an intelligent funky sequence that wraps you in again and again.

Review: Having originally surfaced on DJ Deep's Deeply Rooted House label back in 2011, the appropriately named Bleak brings his stern Ekko track back into focus on his own Naura label, inviting two titans of contemporary techno to do the remix business on the track. First up is Skudge, who get things marching at an urgent pace with their usual knack for ear snagging sonic hooks and unrelenting kick drums. Meanwhile Markus Suckut makes a more weighty interpretation of the track, slowing the tempo and adding all kinds of sub pressure to make for a truly killer workout. As a bonus, the original track is present on the B-side in all its mean-tempered glory.
