Review: Black Eyes returns for a second volume in the Hydro Trip series on the tasteful Lost Control label and do a fine job of serving up some delicious house depths. 'Message From The Deep' kicks off with dynamic kick drums and cosmic synths leaving painterly trails over the muscular beat. 'Master Of Hydro' brings weighty kicks and more smeared synth work that is late night and seductive and 'Wisdom Of The Stingrays' then taps into classic house with its empowering spoken word monologue and perfectly pitched and dusty drums. Walt J remixes to close out a tasteful and heartfelt EP in style.

Review: Given the label's commitment to "plasma house, sub-aquatic electro and cybernetik techno all brought back from the year 2097" you should have a good idea of the flavour in store on this third release on Lost Control 2097. This time it comes from The Fly Insect, who imparts six exquisite slices of electro reaching across all kinds of moods. 'An Afternoon With Mr Ginge' has a blissful, Other People Place quality for the most tender of moments, while 'Decay' favours clanking, metallic synth tones for something much more abrasive. The ideas are bright and bold, and The Fly Insect proves themselves to be truly worthy of the time portal back from the far-flung future.

Review: Reedale Rise is indeed on the rise after some brilliant outings on Frustrated Funk and Delsin. Now he flexes his muscle once more on the Lost Control label with an EP that investigates a whole different side to his sound. For this one, he sets his sights on future house music with a warm machine soul akin to the best of the Motor City. 'Azura' has deft, swirling synth pads up top, 'Exodive' then brings lithe drums and jazzy melodies with a cosmic twist while 'Heliopolis' is an elastic mix of drums and bass with serene pad work. A typically singular Big Strick remix with melancholy built into the beats closes in styles.
