Review: Argentinian producer Ffrvnco debuts his rough-n'-ready first EP for Exarde Records, 'Night Situations', which sound like just that. In other words, these are slinky, nocturnal bravings of the night air; each track evokes a rather cheeky sensibility, as if our 'Melted Discotheque' were taking place on squatted land, or our 'Systematic Action' always maintains some element of the ludic, the teenager-getting-up-to-lord-knows-what-at-night. Things only get serious by the time we reach the B2, 'Kill & Die', which, even then, keeps its sinister rictus firmly glued open, as if to query the listener, "why so serious?" Relentless, kitsch acid jams for the DJ debutante and the veteran alike.
