DJ Deep - "What's Going On?" (6:13)

Avision - "Talk Is Cheap" (6:00)
Review: In March, COD3 QR launched a digital release featuring DJ Deep, Avision, and Deetron which they have now followed up with a first-ever vinyl outing fettering new tracks from the same artists, all curated by the great French techno icon Laurent Garnier who looks to embody the label's ethos: "music diversity is our strength." Avision, rooted in NYC's vibrant club culture, offers 'Hold No Groove' and 'Talk Is Cheap' which showcase his signature New York techno and house style. Swiss veteran Deetron presents 'Pulse' and 'Corazon', and again goes deep, while DJ Deep's 'What's Going On' and 'Transition' reflect his Parisian rave roots and sophisticated style.

Subground 3000 - "Sound Migration" (Lee Trax Garage remix) (6:38)
Jim Rivers - "Cosmos" (8:31)
Melatron & Ancient Artefact - "I Get My Kicks" (6:53)
Review: The latest compilation album from COD3 QR is, as always, focused on eclecticism, open-mindedness, divergence and non-conformity, featuring the usual wide range of electronic music, all handpicked by Laurent Garnier and Scan X. The vinyl edition of this very latest edition of the compilation series - which was embarked upon in not long after the longstanding but mysterious label was revealed to be the fruits of the labours of this legendary duo, who had until then ran it incognito - comes as a condensed version of the digital, on which a terse seven tracks from the likes of Calibre, Seroplexx, Costello, Marcelus, Subground 3000, Lee Trax, Jim Rivers, Melatron and Ancient Artifact all appear. Though the label has set a high expectation with their admonition against "all expectations and all prejudices", they actually do extremely well to fulfil that aim. Most contributions here - from the steppy, sloppy 'Sump Dub to the just-plain-monstrous 'I Get My Kicks' - tend towards on the uncategorisable and unpigeonholeable, at least in terms of overtly boxed-in genre norms.

Review: Titanic French techno talent and famously nice bulk Laurent Garnier has announced recently that he will be stepping away from touring quite as much as he currently does in the future. He softened that blow, though, with news of his new album 33 Tours Et Puis S'en Vont', via his COD3 QR label. It is his first solo long player in some eight years and finds him firmly focused on the dancefloor. His fizzing, synth-heavy techno style dominates, but there are plenty of lush vocal cuts, influences from hip-hop and broken beat, with even a drum & bass experiment appearing in the form of 'Sado Miso'. A fine return for this true legend.

Review: A brand new red-marbled 12" edition single of '33 Tours Et Puis S'en Vont' by red-faced techno legend Laurent Garnier. The euphoric track appears as the title track of the fresh new LP of the same name, and his first in eight years; here, remixes are handled by the likes of Voltaire, World Of Intent and Avision, forming a physical edition of a much wider remix pack.

Laurent Garnier - "Back Where I Belong" (Solaris mix) (12:38)
Tal Fussman - "Waiting" (4:59)
Loloman - "The Wall" (Laurent Garnier rework) (7:42)
The Lost Souldancer - "No More Voices" (7:34)
Review: This compilation brings together a diverse array of electronic music talent, showcasing a range of styles and moods. Laurent Garnier's 'Back Where I Belong (Solaris Mix)' kicks things off with a hypnotic and atmospheric journey, its pulsating rhythms and ethereal melodies setting the stage for a sonic adventure. Tal Fussman's 'Waiting' takes a more introspective approach, its delicate textures and subtle grooves creating a sense of anticipation and intrigue. Loloman's 'The Wall (Laurent Garnier Rework)' injects a dose of energy, with Garnier's reinterpretation adding a driving intensity to the original track. The Lost Souldancer's 'No More Voices' closes the compilation with a deep and hypnotic exploration, its atmospheric textures and pulsating rhythms creating a mesmerising soundscape. This is a release that will appeal to a wide range of electronic music enthusiasts, offering something for those who appreciate both the introspective and the energetic sides of the genre.

Squal G - "Waiting 4U" (8:56)

Joaquim Plossu & Salem Focus - "Cosmic" (4:06)
Review: Laurent Garnier selects fresh tracks for this release from a wide array of strong producers inJules Wells, Skatman, Works Of Intent, Squal G, YANNLEAN and Joaquim Plossu. Berlin-based, Tunisian-born Skatman - recognised for merging classic and modern sounds and boasting releases on Innervisions and Correspondent - offers the deep, groovy 'Transcending House.' Jules Wells, from Bordeaux, France (Submerge, KMS, Planet E) returns with the Detroit-influenced retro house track 'Dreamer.' Works Of Intent, a pivotal member of the UK South Asian collective Daytimers and Emotional Weaponry label owner, follows with the intricate 'Subversive.' French artist Squal G, producer and manager of Slates Records, delivers the techno-spirited 'Waiting 4U.' Multi-talented Yann Lean, also a sound engineer, brings tribal energy on 'To Get Close,' supported by prestigious labels like KMS and Bedrock. Lastly, Joaquim Plossu, a French-born, Mexican-resident, collaborates with Leeds-based Salem Focus for the energetic d&b track 'Cosmic,' closing the diverse release. Laurent Garnier is one of the most trusted tastemakers in the DJ world for over 35 years now - and that ain't changing any time soon.

Review: Not long ago, it was announced that Laurent Garnier and Scan X were the masterminds behind the legendary label Cod3 QR, who've been going for a long, long time. Along with the announcement came the reveal of a new experimentation as to the label's manner of releasing music. Thus came their first V/A 'Artist Code' album, which hides the identity of each artist, instead labeling them with a code, Brave New World style. Just as fitting for their techno-apocalyptic methods comes a dystopian sonic palette; machine-ic flow states, deep-space pulsars and noisy, atmospheric breaks, all from a truly forward-thinking techno album.

Review: COD3 QR welcome the mighty Roshan Chauhan debuting a new guise, Works Of Intent. You might better know him as R.O.S.H, a producer with a string of standout club 12"s released around four years ago for the likes of Rekids and Twin Turbo. Now he's honing in on a dramatic, measured approach to techno which emphasises spatial sound design and synthesis, keeping the rhythms poised to carry the towering sonics. This is particularly true on the epic 'Left Unseen', but also true of the re-framed hard trance synth blooms that shape out 'Old Ways, New Mistakes'. Those are but two points of intrigue on this assured statement piece from an artist plotting a new trajectory for himself.
