ALM Busy Circuits

Notes: ALM Eurorack cases are available in a range of sizes all including an integrated powered bus boards.

The cases all feature anodised aluminium construction, an on/off switch, rubber feet, and high quality switched powered bus boards with numerous keyed headers and ample power capacity.

These are simple and compact Eurorack cases, perfect for small, focused systems, taking along on travels, or as a tabletop addition to a larger setup.

Cases are available in 4 sizes; 3U 84HP / 6U 84HP / 3U 52HP / 6U 52HP sizes. They all offer 1 Amp on both the -12V and +12V rails per row.

Great modern cases

The ALM powered Eurorack case was originally designed for the System Coupe. Wider interest has seen it evolve into a range of different sized cases being made available by themselves.

A fixed solid bus board provides quality ample power and plentiful keyed power connectors. The shielded DC/DC power converter is low noise and includes overload and short circuit protection. Fixed, quality mounting rails are used over sometimes frustrating sliding nuts. The case has a great looking all anodised aluminium construction that is both strong and light.

The case proportions are designed to look great on a table or desk (not too deep, just enough) and also be easy to fit in a bag and transport.

Decksaver case covers are available currently for the 3U/84HP, 6U/52HP, and 6U/84HP cases.

6U / 52 HP

Provides up to 1 Amp power on each -12V & +12V rails.
Connections for up to 9 modules on busboard, with additional 'flying bus board' included that adds up to 12 connectors.
Includes 2 Amp power 'brick'

Notes: Another banger from ALM. Based on the oscillators from the classic 1980s Casio CZ series, the Cizzle uses phase distortion synthesis for characterful, FM-adjacent synth tones.

Supplier's Notes:
The 'CIZZLE' is a dual digital 'phase distortion' VCO inspired by the classic Casio 'CZ' series synthesizers. It brings the specifics of 'CZ' style phase distortion (PD) synthesis into Eurorack with the inclusion of primary and secondary oscillator layering and detuning (with up to 8 voice chord generation), extended morphable PD wave generation algorithms, unique resonance wave generation, plus specific 'end of chain' ring modulation and noise modes that are key to the CZ sound.

The voices also feature built in VCAs and various modulation controls and inputs, a cv-able chord mode, tracking ability, triggered mode switching and can be output independently or mixed with stereo widening.

The 'CIZZLE' finally brings characteristic CZ style synthesis to Eurorack with a rich palette of sounds from mellow ambient tones, 90s Detroit Techno inspired chords, Reese style basses, and synth tones with unique faux resonance squelch.

The 'MFX Pedal' brings all the effects and functionality of ALM's popular Eurorack MFX module to both guitars and synths in standalone form with 18 different fully featured effects programs and additional MIDI, Knob and Expression pedal control, tap tempo, an optional analogue gain stage and true relay (or DSP) based bypass.

Inspired by ALM's favourite classic hardware effects processors, the MFX incorporates DSP effect technologies from the dawn of digital effects in the 70s to the present day. Reshape sounds with the distortion and dynamics engines. Bend time space and pitch with multiple feature rich reverb and delay engines. Modulate signals with the flexible panner, frequency shifter, and range of ensemble effects. Fracture sounds with the one-of-a-kind granular and glitch engines.

The MFX Pedal user interface is designed to be familiar, quick and easy to use. Each program contains a wide range of controllable parameters both directly editable or freely assigned to knobs, MIDI or expression control. Each program includes factory presets as well as the ability to store and recall user presets. All states are preserved across power cycles.

Available for the first time outside of modular, the MFX pedal easily brings the character and uniqueness of ALM effects to your guitar rig, DAW-less setup, mixer effects send or synth collection.

The 'Squid Salmpler' is a Eurorack 8 channel audio & CV sampler. It is designed for immediate real time sampling, editing and mangling within a modular context.

Taking influence from early hardware samplers, The Squid Salmple focuses on usability and instinctive operation, incorporating a proven Pamela's Workout style user interface for minimal screen dependence and a fun, hands on experience.

With support for sampling and playback for both audio and CV, as well as CV control of all parameters, on-the-fly bank loading and saving to USB, The Squid Salmple brings a unique take on old school sampling into the modular realm.

The Squid Salmple comes with a USB Stick containing approximately 90 banks of original carefully curated royalty free samples. This includes a wide range of sounds from classic drum machines and weird synths to field recordings and CV modulations. Banks are provided by both ALM and some of our favourite artists and friends including Mumdance, Solid Blake, Russell Haswell, Lauren Flax, Dave Burraston (NYZ), Sue Zuki, Dungeon Acid, Sasha Lewis and Andrew Duff.

Notes: ALM's first analogue oscillator is a typically smart design, featuring thru-zero FM, continuously morphing wave shapes, dual subs and voltage-controlled FM index.

The 'TAZM-O' is an analogue triangle core oscillator featuring through-zero frequency modulation and a collection of some of ALM's favourite features of classic oscillator designs.

It includes a continuous morphing wave/pulse width shape control inspired by the Serge NTO, dual SH-101 style varied pulse sub octave outputs, a voltage controlled FM Index typically found in larger complex oscillators, a built in output level VCA and voltage controlled octave transposition similar to the multipliers found on Akemie's Castle digital FM VCO.

Designed to act as the primary oscillator in your system the 'TAZM-O' offers a wide range of timbral and patch flexibility within a relatively compact 12HP size, making it the perfect fit for any modular system.

Notes: The successor to Dinky's Taiko, Tyso Daiko is a 12-bit dual digital drum voice, with built-in analogue tilt EQ and wavefolder, plus extensive CV control. Intuitive, powerful and versatile.

Supplier's Notes:
The 'Tyso Daiko' is a dual 12-bit digital wavetable drum voice with full voltage control and an analogue EQ output path.

The twin voices are independently triggered and output, but share pitch, envelope and other parameters of a swept wavetable oscillator. One voice is output through a voltage controlled analogue tilt EQ emphasising upper or lower frequencies.

The other voice is output through a digital wavefolder which adds increasing timbral complexity (to noise).

Both voices respond independently to an accent input and the first voice is able to be 'choked' . A surface control allows for fine control of additional transients from a click to a slow attack. Full voltage control including a V/Oct pitch input makes the Daiko an expressive and wide ranging drum module with extremely wide pallet of sounds with lots of modulation possibilities.

The Daiko succeeds the original Dinky with the same spirit but much improved control, new features and new wavetables.
