France's Falco Invernale are a label dedicated to discovering contemporary electronic landscapes from extra-terrestrial planes. So far, they've released various works including a mini-LP by Bunker's extravagantly named Shemale, among others, but this time they've decided to feature the debut LP by the mysterious Codes duo. It's pure no-wave at its most grungy, starting with the melancholic, substance-induced laments of "Attendre La Nuit" and "Distant Exchanges". "Entrenchement" brings forth some quasi-techno beats sprinkled with punky aesthetics, whereas the flipside heads into deeper, more deranged territories thanks to "Nullius" and the sluggish, wailing drum workout of 'Glazed Faces". Pensive, seductive, industrial concoctions for both young and old.
