MOOER is well known for producing highly versatile multi-effect pedals, but its latest product announcement, the Prime Stomp S1, is not just a multi-effect pedal. It is an all-in-one pedalboard for guitar effects and tones, looping, and music production, complete with a unique portability-focused design.

Initially, guitarists will be impressed by its 126 internal guitar effects and tone presets, which are editable, sharable, and downloadable through the MOOER Cloud platform, fostering unlimited tonal flexibility. However, these capabilities shine particularly brightly when combined with the pedal's recording features.

This includes a looper module, which facilitates up to 80 seconds of looping, whilst also providing functionality for real-time playback, loop deletion, and overdubbing. Loops and arrangements can also be recorded directly onto a mobile phone or tablet through a USB/OTG cable.

Review: When it was first released, George Michael's Older was something of a shock to those who were used to his chart-topping hits of yore. Certainly, 1990's Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1 was a mature and expansive album from one of pop's brightest talents, but six years later Older took a moodier turn on tracks like 'Jesus To A Child' and 'Spinning The Wheel'. There are of course some big bangers too, from the slinky funk of 'Fastlove' to 'Star People', but this was a turning point in Michael's career which finally delivered the creative freedom he'd always so vically called out for. This expansive special edition of the album comes with additional edits, remixes and unreleased tracks to complete the picture for a landmark slice of British pop music.

Review: Originally released in 1977 (the year of punk's simultaneous birth and more notably, death), (I'm) Stranded has gone on to become, not only one of the most vital pieces of OG Aussie punk, but commonly considered as one of the quintessential early blueprints for an entire generation of artists. Staying on course and not even wading into the creative differences that would soon loom large over each subsequent follow up, this box set arrives as a joint collaboration between L.A. garage rock label In The Red, Universal Music Australia and spearheaded by Feel Presents and The Saints founder Ed Kuepper (later Laughing Clowns), who collectively deliver the original LP remastered for the time in four decades, along with never-before-pressed-to-wax bonus discs of a five-song live performance from Paddington Town Hall in Sydney in 1977, the band's full set from the Hope & Anchor Front Row Festival, London November 1977, all three tracks from the 1977 This Perfect Day 12" and all four tracks from 1977's 1-2-3-4 double 7" single, as well as the previously unreleased 1976 demo mix of the (I'm) Stranded LP. Also boasting a 28 page 12" x 12" photo essay of the band covering their origins from 1973 through the end of '77, authorised band history, an 8" x 10" 1976 promo photo, and sticker, this is fan service and an album celebratory box set done right.

Notes: Hat is a hi-hat cymbal with a wild side. Finding something unique is easy with a blend of sounds ranging from robotic to metallic. At its core are three unique sound sources made up of six oscillators, a noise generator, and a number of filters. Sizzle affects each source independently, adjusting oscillator and filter frequencies, allowing for a broad range of sounds. In addition, separate trigger inputs for open and closed allow for a complete hi-hat pattern on a single module. No matter what situation it's in, Hat provides shimmering, metallic timbres for any percussive purpose.

Review: .Originally released in 2009, Crack The Skye would serve as the fourth full-length and creative rebirth of sludge-indebted alternative metal behemoths Mastodon. Inspired by the suicide of drummer Brann Dailor's sister in their youth, the album takes cues from prog classics such as Pink Floyd's Animals and King Crimson's In The Court Of The Crimson King to craft a monolithic sonic journey spread across seven tracks. With their later material taking on a more instantaneous approach to composition, whilst coming off the back of the harsh dynamics of 2004's Leviathan and 2006's Blood Mountain, the mercurial middle point the band found themselves on this LP emboldened them to add Dailor as a third lead vocalist, providing a melodious fulcrum between the snarl of bassist Troy Sanders and nasal croon of guitarist Brent Hinds. A hallucinogenic, astral projecting prog epic in the search for peace accumulated through unprocessed grief, the project has been held near and dear to the hearts of the band and their fanbase in the fifteen years since initial release and now celebrates such a milestone with this definitive boxset. Spread across gold vinyl 2xLP with a bonus blu-ray, poster, magnet sheet and 12-page booklet.

Review: Capturing the era of Black Sabbath with Ronnie James Dio on vocals following Ozzy Osborne's departure, Live Evil was the first officially sanctioned live album from Birmingham's foremost heavy metal pioneers. The album came together in 1982, drawing on shows from Seattle, San Antonio and Dallas on the Mob Rules tour, and now it has been given the deluxe reissue treatment. As well as the original mix of the album, there's an entirely new mix of the album from the original analogue master tapes by long time band associate Wyn Daivs, complete with a 40-page hardback book featuring new liner notes and replicas of the original concert book and poster form the Mob Rules tour.

Notes: Expander module adds four more assignable CV inputs to Squid Salmple for advanced modulation and sample manipulation. A must for all Squid Salmple owners.

The addition of AXON-1 brings Squid's total number of CV inputs to 7, greatly increasing the possibilities for vast modular sample manipulation.

Each modulation assignment includes digital attenuation and offset and behaves just like Squid's 3 built in CV inputs.

AXON-1 requires firmware 166 or later installed on the Squid Salmple to function!

Notes: Module A-160-2V is an enhanced version of the standard clock divider A-160. The module is a frequency divider for clock/trigger/gate signals, designed to be a source of lower frequencies, particularly for rhythm uses.

The Clock input will take any digital signal from, eg., an LFO, MIDI sync, or the gate from a MIDI-CV interface. At the outputs, you have access to three sets of seven different sub-divided clock signals, from half the clock frequency down to 1/128. The low/high levels of the output signals are 0V and about +10V.

The A-160-2V also has a reset input. Whenever a reset signal is sensed, all outputs are set to certain levels which depend upon the selected mode.

Notes: The N-44G stylus offers a thicker bass sound than the N-44-7 stylus that is included with the J44A 7, which gives a brighter sound-the same difference as with the SHURE 44 cartridges.

JICO has followed the structure of the SHURE products to release the alternative replacement. Not only the sound output is as close to the SHURE M44 cartridge models but the tracking ability of the J44 performs the same with sticking to a record groove with high jump/skip resistance and low wear.

This deluxe reissue, features the remastered original album, cut at half-speed by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios. Both Sides (All The Sides) includes early demo tracks, rarities from singles like 'Both Sides of the Story,' 'Everyday,' and 'We Wait and We Wonder,' as well as live performances such as 'Can't Turn Back the Years' and 'Both Sides of the Story' from Collins' MTV Unplugged session. This collection is presented on vinyl for the first time, housed in a slipcase with picture sleeves and a 16-page booklet containing newly written liner notes by esteemed journalist Michael Hann. Collins, who wrote, performed, and produced Both Sides in just six weeks at his home studio, considers it his most personal album. Originally released in 1993, the album topped the charts in the UK and Europe, reached No. 13 in the US, and achieved multi-platinum status worldwide.

Review: Hunting High and Low, the 1985 debut album from A-ha, gets a reissue as a 6LP vinyl box set. Responsible for changing synthpop forever with their breakout 'Take On Me', the single's parent album here has been reissued numerous times, but this one aims to be the curtain call. With a whopping 64-page booklet detailing the band's origins thrown in on top of a mammoth four LPs, three of which contain a huge swath of unheard demos, B-sides and rarities, this is a cash-in on a much-beloved pop band we're sure will be eaten up.

Review: American singer-songwriter Bruce Springsteen is about as big a music star as there could possible be. It all began in January 1973 when the legendary rocker dropped his debut album, Greetings from Asbury Park, NJ which is now back in print in several different formats as a "hybrid" remastered version that brings together both regular and "super audio" versions. It's a still superb album that laid out The Boss's sonic vision and was noted by Rolling Stone critic Lester Bangs for being dexterous and on point socially. Review: Debate has long raged about which of the Beatles' studio albums is their strongest, but 1966's Revolver frequently tops polls of fans and Fab Four scholars. This 'super deluxe edition' of the album, then, is long overdue. It naturally features a fully remastered and cleaned up stereo mix of the album that makes every vocal and instrumental element stand out with pin-sharp clarity ('Tomorrow Never Knows' and 'Elenor Rigby' have never sounded so good), as well as a cleaned up mono mix (disc four), two CDs of out-takes and alternative versions, and a bonus 'EP' boasting newly mixed and mastered versions of 'Paperback Writer' and 'Rain'. Throw in a 100-page hardback book featuring essays from Paul McCartney, Giles Martin and Questlove, and a treasure trove of Klaus Voorman photographs, and you have a fittingly luxurious package.

Notes: Triplatt is a three-channel active/buffered attenuverter and summing mixer. Each channel has a knob, which can function as a unipolar attenuator or a bipolar attenuverter, depending on the setting of its corresponding two-position polarity switch.

Each input is normalled to a built-in precision +5V DC voltage source. With nothing plugged into the jacks, each knob controls a voltage range of 0 to +5 V or -5 to +5 V depending on the position of the channel polarity switch. Outputs A and B are also capable of a range of 0-10 / -10 to +10 when using the special function switches.

Each output is normalled to mix into the output of the channel below, making it possible to do sub mixes in groups of two or three.

In addition, each channel has a "special function" switch to alter its input voltage in a specific way. Channel A has a 2x voltage multiplier switch, allowing you to double the voltage sent into Channel A. Channel B has a +5V switch, allowing you to add 5V to whatever voltage is sent into Channel B. Channel C has a mute switch, allowing you to completely turn off the signal being sent into Channel C.

Notes: The 1-row QUICKSWAP CASE for AE modular is the high-end case for AE modular. It is based on a sturdy metal chassis with a beautiful matte black powder coating and - the key feature of this case - allows to plug in AE modules without any screws! The design makes sure that the modules sit really firm in the case and the bus connection is established automatically by the integrated bus board, so need for the separate bus cable known from the standard AE cases. This means, rearranging your modular system can't be easier!

With a connector kit, another QUICKSWAP CASE of same width can be attached at certain angles, depending on the connector - and the power supply is linked between the cases also via the connector.

Notes: The insert module allows you to connect stereo effects to your CGM setup, either by inserting them between two points of the internal summing bus or by placing them in parallel, as in a rudimentary stereo send-and-return.

It consists of two couples of outputs and inputs with dedicated gain switches. The first O/I stereo couple is the insert circuit, while the second is the parallel circuit.

The Insert module can be used:

between a group and a master;
between a group and a group;
between a channel and a group;
between a channel and a channel;
between a channel and a master (without a group).
The Insert module ships with two Insert cables compatible with every member of the CGM family, including the discontinued ones.

Flexible placement

The insert can effortlessly sit between every CGM module. Use it between a group and a master as an end-of-chain bus, or between two series of channels of the same group to create a channel subgroup with independent solo-in-place controls.

Stereo insert circuit

This circuit overrides the internal summing bus and allows you to route whatever sum goes into the insert module through your favourite stereo effects.

Stereo parallel circuit

A second out-in circuit remains parallel to the main one, excellent for adding stereo ambiance effects to the main sum.

Gain switches

The outputs and inputs provide three degrees of attenuation and matching amplification to scale the signal to most of the audio equipment out there.
