The module operation relies on its screen for all parameter editing, each button accesses one single page where parameters can be changed allowing a fast and fluid workflow across all settings.

Long presses on all buttons have a secondary function allowing fast Channel selection plus Mute and Hold functions.

The combination of having 2 Encoders with Push buttons allow swift navigation and editing across all pages and their settings.

Notes: Designed for Make Noise's New Universal Synthesizer System but compatible with all Eurorack modules, the Jumbled is a 6-in/6-out VCA-based signal router, designed to manipulate and reimagine control voltage signals.

The Jumbler music synthesiser module is a six by six channel analogue signal combiner and distributor for the New Universal Synthesizer System or any Eurorack modular synthesiser. Jumble is one of the N.U.S.S. concepts where the routings of a patch could be re-configured, or jumbled, instantly via voltage control to produce variations on a theme.

Jumbler gives you powerful two-parameter access to the rearrangement of both origins and destinations for up to six modular signals. One to six inputs are routed to one to six outputs, in an order determined by the Rotate control, and combination determined by the Radiate control. Unlike a simple switch module, Jumbler's analogue VCA-based design is specially geared for smooth transitions and hybrid signals.

Jumbler is a great module for hybrid control voltage mashing, complex waveform mixing, on-the-fly effects re-routing, gate and clock re-combinations and more. Some folks have said it is like patching a stack of 6 RxMx circuits.

Notes: Bartender is the centerpiece of the mixer system. Four stereo channels, with two stereo aux send and two stereo returns. Each channel can be used in a mono mode where both channels are mixed. If you want to do eight channels of mono, you can put the channels in stereo mode (I know it feels backwards) and then use the pan control to control the crossfade between each channel, and then take the mono output. There is a built in cueing system so you can monitor channels in your headphones and control the blend with the main output. You can expand a Bartender with both a Barback and/or another Bartender. When connecting two Bartenders, the main level control on the 'expander' Bartender acts as a group control.

Notes: A super impressive offering from Xaoc, the Samarkanda is a quad delay module designed for hands-on, real-time performance. Dial in everything from loops to stereo delays, resonators, modulation effects and much more.

Xaoc Devices Samarkanda is a digital quad delay module with extensive patching capabilities and a lot of flexibility for signal mangling. It can be used as four entirely independent delays, a dual stereo delay, a complex/multi-tap or multi-channel delay, a quad/polyphonic resonator, dual chorus, dual flanger, reverb, looper (with sound on sound!), and granulator, or any combination of those. You can reverse the delayed signal, hold it, squeeze and stretch it beyond all recognition and still go back to the original piece of audio captured in the buffer! The internal lossless normalization (the signal doesn't leave the digital domain) combined with top-notch components (including 24-bit AKM converters and 32-bit internal processing) are responsible for high sound quality. Samarkanda has been conceived in the truly modular spirit. Not only can you control almost all its features remotely with CV/gates, but the external feedback path gives you the opportunity to process the delayed signal with other modules.

Samarkanda offers a wide range of delay times beginning at a mere 0.5ms and reaching up to 15 seconds per channel. That means that, by stacking its four channels, you can achieve up to one minute delay! There are two operating modes switchable individually for each channel. Analogue delivers pitch changes that resemble classic analogue tape and BBD delays. When you combine it with the looping Hold function, you can play Samarkanda with any 1V/octave CV source. By using the Sync function you can even loop single wave cycles. The Digital mode gives you a granular buffer-scrubbing effect (no pitch change) across the whole delay time range. You can seamlessly switch back and forth between modes without losing any information. You can use Samarkanda for multiple tasks at the same time - from four independent delay lines through any combination of channels processing the same signal up to a quad behemoth. You can also use the linking feature for ease of operation (the first channel in the chain acts as the main control source for the others).

As most settings operate on a per-channel basis, you can freely combine different features (such as analog/digital behaviour, delay time range, reverse and hold functions, etc.) in a configuration of your choosing. You can synchronize each of its channels separately to a different source, either via the Sync input, or by using the tap-tempo functionality (with multiplication and division galore). Should you ever get lost, the Purge button comes in handy when/if things start to spiral out of control!

Pico DSP is a small brother of the popular stereo effects processor Black Hole DSP. It contains eight algorithms, in detail four delays, two types of reverb, Leslie speaker emulation and an Overdrive/Bitcrusher. Each effect is editable in two parameters. One of them can be modulated using the CV input. Pico DSP features clear, high-resolution sound. Alongside the established standards, it is also possible to generate lots of freaky special effects.

Module A-192-2 contains two independent CV/Gate-to-Midi/USB interfaces. For each of the two sub-units these inputs are available:

- Gate Input (min. +5V)
- CVN Input (defines the Midi note number), 1V/octave standard, range 0...+10V (i.e. 10 octaves)
- CVV Input (defines the velocity value assigned to the Midi note message), can be used alternatively for Midi volume (CC#7), range 0...+5V
- CVC Input (free assignable to any Midi control change number), range 0...+5V

For both sub-units a common CV Transpose input is available (1V/octave, range 0...+10V). The voltage applied to this input is added internally to CVN before the Midi note number is generated. It can be used e.g. to transpose two sequences simultaneously by one voltage.

How it works:

Whenever the rising edge of the Gate input is recognized a Midi note on message is generated. The note number corresponds to the sum of the voltages applied to the CVN input and the common CV Transpose Input that is present at the rising edge of the gate signal.

It features16 selectable oscillator modes to provide a diverse range of both classic and futuristic tone generation using exclusively virtual analog algorithms. As well as full midi capability, the 8 built-in chord presets can be custom programmed to provide polyphonic stabs and pads and using a single CV/Gate input, arpeggios can be layered polyphonically or "plucked" using long release times. The mono/poly function allows the Monumatic to switch between a fully capable poly synth or a mono synth at the touch of a button.

In polyphonic mode Monumatic introduces an advanced micro-tuning system to modular synthesis, it can replicate the organic drift of vintage analogue oscillators or it can apply realtime tuning temperaments to enhance harmonic authenticity using 'just' intonation, this parameter can even be assigned to CV control.

Notes: A typically clever approach to modulation from Make Noise, the MultiMod takes a control signal and modifies it into eight related outputs, adjustable by phase and timing. Hugely versatile.

In a modular synthesiser, it is easy to create complex results via complex means - patching an elaborate network of independent control signals, for example. This can be very powerful but also cumbersome to set up, and potentially difficult to control in a meaningful way. MultiMod represents a new approach: it takes a single control signal and copies it 8 times, not unlike a simple mult, except that it allows you to modify those copies by weighted adjustment of their relative phase and speed. The result is modulation that is related to the source, but not identical at each destination.

Phase sets the spacing of the signal copies in time, weighted by channel, with each progressive channel getting more out of phase from the original signal and from each other. Spread allows for varispeeding the copies by different amounts, with each getting progressively faster or slower than the original Signal. Time determines the range of time captured at the input and therefore also the depth of modulation across copies of the input signal when Phase and Spread are manipulated. MultiMod also includes Tempo, Hold, and Reset features, and a variety of Read Shapes for temporal rearrangement of input signals.

When the input is not patched, MultiMod generates an LFO that is copied eight times and manipulated in the same ways.

MultiMod is built with the latest DSP hardware which offers eight high resolution outputs, with signal input and output ranges approaching the upper limits of the analogue eurorack modular system. All I/O is capable of a 20V range at +/-10V, greatly exceeding the typical 0-5V CV input ranges on typical digital modules.

Notes: The Quad VCA is a compact and feature packed module that is sure to find its way it almost all of your patches. In addition to being used for standard VCA duties it can also be used as a mixer and signal booster.

The Mimeophon music synthesiser module is a stereo, multi-zone colour audio repeater by Make Noise and soundhack, coded by Tom Erbe.

The Mimeophon (from Greek mimeo (repeat/copy) and phon (sound)) is a modern take on various historical sound copying, echo and repeating devices. It allows for Stereo modulations of Time, Space and Timbre of Mono or Stereo sound sources. The Mimeophon is capable of modulating and morphing time scales of repeated sound from micro-sound to note to phrase length while also colouring and spatializing the repeats.

Notes: Glitchy business with this digital module based on the sound of scratched CDs, buggy software and failing hardware. Stereo in and out with up to five minutes sampling time.

Data Bender is a circuit bent digital audio buffer. It is inspired by the ways in which audio equipment can fail. The sounds of skipping CDs, software bugs, and defective tape machine playback are all accessible. The audio buffer can hold up to five minutes of stereo audio, providing a sonic canvas capable of infinite surprises and discovery.

Notes: Updated Atlantix module is an even better synth voice than the original Atlantis. Based on the Roland SH-101 formula, it's a monster with dual VCOs, legendary filter and built-in envelope generator. All you need for iconic analogue sounds.

Dual Oscillator Subtractive Analogue Synth Voice

It's Massive

The Atlantix is a complete analogue synth voice. It's quick to dial in huge bass or lead sounds, and easy to push it into new sonic territory. Dual VCOs, Multimode VCF, VCA with Drive, and an ADSR envelope; all of the building blocks needed to expand or start making sound in your rack. With 32 patch points and a selection of routing switches, you can remix these blocks into something all your own.

Reimagining a Reimagined Classic

The Atlantix is the highly-anticipated successor to the Intellijel Atlantis which was originally inspired by the classic Roland SH-101. Despite the SH-101's seemingly limited architecture, it produces various creative and musically useful sounds that have inspired generations of artists and countless hits. The Atlantix is just as immediate for dialling in beautifully rich bass and lead sounds. The thoughtful design, numerous additional features, and flexible patching options open up a massive amount of new sonic territory to explore as well.

The Atlantix is an analogue, complete subtractive synthesizer voice condensed into a single 42HP module. It provides all the fundamental building blocks needed to make sounds in Eurorack: VCOs, VCF, VCA, S&H, Noise, and an Envelope.

Oscillators - Advanced TZFM and Flexible Mixer

The Atlantix uses two triangle core voltage controlled oscillators (VCO) which respond in a musically pleasing way to frequency modulation. The Atlantix primary VCO (VCO A) is capable of thru-zero frequency modulation and has a dedicated amplifier for controlling FM depth (FM INDEX). The modulation oscillator (VCO B) can be used as either an LFO or VCO. The highly flexible architecture allows you to route VCO B as a modulation source or stack it as a secondary VCO all by the flick of a switch or slider. VCO B also has a bonus "spike" waveform output which is a square wave with fixed HPF, similar to the Buchla Easel. Both oscillators track very precisely over eight or more octaves.

In the mixer section, you can adjust the balance of the primary oscillator's waveforms, sub-oscillator noise, and two auxiliary inputs that are normalled to additional VCO A waveforms or VCO B waveforms. The auxiliary inputs also allow you to patch other external signals into the mix.
The second Auxiliary input has a switch that allows you to route the source between the mixer sum or directly into the VCA (post-VCF). The latter is a way to pass an unfiltered fundamental signal to the final VCA stage and then blend it with filtered audio from the VCF. This draws inspiration from the architecture of the CS-80 where a sine wave is mixed with the filtered audio to make glassy tones with some added harmonics.

Multimode Filter - From Drips to Growls

The filter section (VCF) is a discrete cascaded 4-pole multimode filter with lowpass, bandpass, highpass, and phaser (multi-notch) modes. The filter can self-oscillate which produces a very clean sine wave that also tracks 1V/Oct. The VCF has three frequency modulation sources, two of which are normalled to the external pitch and envelope and have switches for polarity.

Add Atlx for dedicated outputs from each mode.

Envelope - A Classic ADSR

The envelope section is an analogue ADSR with three timing ranges: slow, medium, and fast. It can be gated externally or via a manual gate button located in the centre of the panel. The ADSR is routed through a VCA which can be used for level or velocity control.

Modulation - Random, Feedback, and Built-in Routing

Two eight-position rotary switches allow you to select from eight different modulation sources and route them to outputs MOD X and MOD Y. Each switch also has a polarity control and an option to level shift between unipolar and bipolar operation. MOD X is normalled to VCO A frequency modulation and MOD Y is normalled to VCF frequency modulation. The dedicated outputs allow for further creative modulation patching.

Four of the Input jacks have normal switches to change your patch without the need for cables.

The analogue Sample and Hold (S&H) circuit is normalled to the white noise source and can be clocked by VCO B, an external clock source, or via the gate input for per-note synced randomization.

Atlx - Expander w/ Ring Mod (Optional) ***Sold separately ***

The Atlx expander provides 16 additional jacks to the Atlantix, including: dedicated waveform outputs for A and B oscillators, filter outputs, and a ring modulator. Atlx adds many new possibilities for self-patching, advanced routing, and connections to other modules.

Notes: Another cracker from Xaoc, the Timiszoara is a take on digital multi-effects with stereo in and out, an intuitive interface and CV control of effect parameters. Big power with 176 factory programs.

Timiszoara is a stereo, Eurorack compatible, voltage-controlled multi-effect signal processor based on the popular Spin Semiconductor FV-1 DSP chip. It features a full stereo signal path with two adjustable audio inputs, two outputs, and a stereo voltage-controlled wet/dry mixer. In addition, there is a microSD memory card slot on the front panel that allows for loading factory and custom effects without any restrictions or copyright protection, which means you can use many effects available on the Internet and even create your own.

Effect programs are organized in banks of 8 and can be selected using a rotary encoder, as well as CV and trigger signals. Timiszoara features a crisp OLED screen that displays the program parameters and its name. It also facilitates navigating the list of banks. Up to three parameters per effect can be controlled from the front panel with illuminated slider potentiometers and dedicated CV inputs.

Xaoc Devices have prepared quite a few banks of algorithms (176 in total) that cover most effects needs: delays, reverbs, filters, modulation effects (such as choruses and flangers), pitch shifters, and, of course, shimmers (no multi-effects unit would be complete without its share of those). However, Xaoc Devices wanted to ensure that users had access to some more adventurous programs, so some special banks have been created to allow you to take a walk on the wild side.

Gamut Repetitor is a four-channel random quantized voltage generator with looping, range, key, and scale settings. It features a built-in quantizer with 27 scales grouped across a selection of three CV-controllable switches, so it's easy and fun to generate patterns you'll love. The trigger outputs can simply pass through the input trigger or they can generate random triggers for more modular merrymaking.

Patching GR is as simple as sending in a trigger pattern and turning Length up. Then you can use the built-in quantizer, key, and range controls to change the way voltages are generated. Once you hear something you like, turn the Length down to a sequence length you like (up to 32) and loop away!

Notes: The 'MEGA-TANG' is a 4-channel linear VCA and stereo mixer providing per input control over level, effect send, pan and muting. Sequencers, sequential switches, counters, analogue shift registers... Modular synthesisers provide a wealth of creative sequential functions for controlling and processing signals. Choosing which of these to include in a system can be a bewildering task.

Except when you don't have to choose. Step 8 represents a new type of modular building block: a sequential tracking/sampling register, which can be configured to provide any of these functions, and many more.

At its heart lies an analogue 1-to-8 signal switch feeding an octet of high-stability track/sample-and-hold stages. Each of these has its own analogue output with an attenuation slider, in addition to a gate output. LEDs visualise the status of each stage in real time. The switch can be controlled sequentially using the built-in 8-step counter, or addressed directly by an analogue control voltage (CV).

Numerous advanced circuit techniques are used to avoid the issues that often plague analogue switching and memory modules. The result: totally transparent signal paths with low noise, distortion and voltage 'droop', yet high bandwidth and precision.

Add to this the ability to 'mute' the inactive stages, pause the counter, reset it, change its direction or even shift the stages on each step, and the possibilities quickly become near-endless. A scanning output takes things even further, particularly making sequencer or addressed voltage source use easy and intuitive.

Notes: Part of TipTop's exceptional series of Eurorack-format Buchla modules, the 264t provides four sample-and-hold circuits, plus a logic circuit designed to control polyphonic patches. Deceptively simple but surprisingly creative, like most Buchla modules.

Sample-and-hold's are essentially one-cell analog memories. They are useful for "remembering" the instantaneous value of a control voltage (a detected envelope, for example), for generating equally spaced steps from a constant slope input (as from a 281t envelope generator), and for converting any continuously changing voltage (a random voltage, for instance) into a series of discrete values.

The 264's sample-and-hold circuits have two operating modes: sample and track. In the sample mode, the value of the input is sampled and applied to the output whenever a pulse is received. The output remains at this value until the next pulse arrives. The track mode diers in that an input is applied to the output for the duration of the pulse. The output tracks the input until the end of the pulse and remains at a constant value until the next pulse.

To use the 264t as four independent channels set the separate/common switch to separate. A single CV can be set to all four channels by setting the operate/common to common and plug CV in the the back jack on the with right side.

The Model 264t includes a polyphonic adaptor, which performs the logic necessary to implement four-voice polyphony. Facilities are incorporated for fine tuning and f.m. modulating the oscillators; light emitters display the adaptor's operation.

On first blush, it appears to be a simple 8-stage sequencer - but there is far more functionality than first meets the eye:

There are two tracks (TRK 1 and TRK 2) that are variants of the single master pitch/gate sequencer, which is programmed via the PITCH sliders, PULSE COUNT and GATE TYPE switches. Each track interprets the master sequence in a variety of ways - creating complementary sequence variations that enable you to generate counterpoint, polyrhythms, and all manner of sonic movement (both subtle and extreme). Each of these tracks has its own playback ORDER, sequence LENgth, clock DIVision, SWING amount, SLIDE time, and track GATE lengths. Other track-based sequence variables are accessible from the TRACK MENU, and include Pitch Slider inversion; sequence note range; track transposition; and more. In addition, Tracks 1 & 2 both have multiple lanes of per-stage playback parameters, including: GATE override; PITCH override; RATCHet count; PROBability of playback; ACCUMulating transposition, and a dedicated CV lane. Each stage also has a SKIP feature, and a pitch SLIDE option.

8 separate and individual MODulation lanes are accessed via the MOD button. Each MOD lane has 8-stages of modulation values and its own playback ORDER, LENgth, and clock DIVision; and each lane is routable to one of Metropolix' two assignable outputs or to dozens of internal destinations, allowing for some sophisticated and powerful self-modulation.

A trio of AUX inputs allows for external modulation of user-assignable sequencer parameters for even greater variation, while two assignable CTRL knobs give you direct access to the parameters you want to adjust most frequently during a performance. With dedicated Pitch/Gate outputs for both Track 1 and Track 2; two totally user-assignable outputs (A and B); and internal MOD routing, Metropolix features a wealth of patching opportunities.

Metropolix also features a Loopy mode, allowing you to instantly play back short sub-sequences, or even "play" the stage buttons directly (like a 'keyboard').

Metropolix stores up to 64 preset configurations (in 8 banks of 8 presets), and all live settings are stored in EPROM, ensuring that your Metropolix will always power up exactly as you left it - even if you haven't saved them to a preset. By default presets can change all the structural (menu-based) elements of your sequencer without overwriting the front panel controls, but full recall is also available.

The operation of the Metropolix is optimized for live performance and jamming, with quick access to all the most important performance parameters, and the ability to greatly affect your sequences with a single slider or switch.

Notes: Module A-130-2 is the slim version of module A-132-3 and offers essentially the same features. But the distances between the controls are smaller and rubberized small-sized knobs are used. In return the front panel has 4 HP only which is half the width of the A-132-3. The module is primarily planned for applications where only limited space is available.

The module is composed of two identical voltage controlled amplifiers (VCA). Each VCA has a manual gain control (also named Initial Gain) and a control voltage input with attenuator. The character of the control scale can be switched to linear or exponential. All inputs and outputs are DC coupled. Consequently the VCAs can be used to process both audio and control voltages (e.g. for voltage control of the level of LFO or envelope signals). The signal input has no attenuator available but is capable to process up to 16Vpp signals (i.e. -8V...+8V) without distortion. For the processing of higher levels an external attenuator (e.g. A-183-1) is recommended.

The amplification range is 0...1. Even with a higher external control voltage the amplification remains at 1 (kind of "amplification clipping" at 1).

This tiny but handy module connects the USB A connector to the +5V bus on the Intellijel TPS series powered busboards. Allowing 1A or more of current to be supplied to USB devices such as lamps, phone chargers, and usb powered musical devices.

It connects to the bus via supplied two-pin cable.

Notes: Dual 1 x 4 buffered mult (one audio or cv signal in with multiple buffered outputs).

The output of the first mult is normalled to the input of the second mult to create a 1×8 buffered mult.

Notes: Module A-124 is a special 12dB multimode filter using the "strange" filter circuit of the "EDP Wasp" (an analog synthesizer with black/yellow case built end of the seventies, manufactured by the UK company "Electronic Dream Plant" with Chris Huggett und Adrian Wagner). This design "abuses" digital inverters as analog operational amplifiers leading to distortions and other "dirty" effects that generate the specific sound of this filter. The filter is equipped with a band pass output and a combined low/notch/high pass output. For this output a control knob defines the relation between low and high pass signal. If both signals appear at the same level (i.e. middle position of the Mix knob) one obtains a notch filter. Otherwise the low or high pass signal predominates. The module does not feature self-oscillation in contrast to most of the other filters of the A-100 system.

The function and operation of this module is very similar to the module SEM VCF A-106-5. But the sound of both filters is very different! The only functional difference is the position of the sockets and controls, and the function of the controls CV2 (A-124: normal attenuator, A-106-5: polarizer).

Normalized Second Input

Notes: Module A-160-2V is an enhanced version of the standard clock divider A-160. The module is a frequency divider for clock/trigger/gate signals, designed to be a source of lower frequencies, particularly for rhythm uses.

The Clock input will take any digital signal from, eg., an LFO, MIDI sync, or the gate from a MIDI-CV interface. At the outputs, you have access to three sets of seven different sub-divided clock signals, from half the clock frequency down to 1/128. The low/high levels of the output signals are 0V and about +10V.

The A-160-2V also has a reset input. Whenever a reset signal is sensed, all outputs are set to certain levels which depend upon the selected mode.

Notes: A-138s is a simple but useful 4-in-2 mixing tool. It has four inputs available. Each input is equipped with an attenuator (Level) and a panning control that is used to distribute the signal to the left and right output. Beyond stereo mixing it is equally suited to create variable parallel routings. For example: Any of the four inputs may be routed in variable intensity to feed two filters.

You may regard the A-138s as a smaller version of the A-138m Matrix Mixer.

Inputs and outputs are DC coupled, i.e. the module can be used for the mixing of control signals too.
