The Razerbills know exactly what they want to achieve with their music. They're channelling the spirit of the maddest rock n' roll, from Screamin' Jay Hawkins and The Sonics to The Count Five and The Cramps, creating a devilishly fun sound to get the party started. It's instrumental, lashed with schlocky sci-fi sound FX and with a generous dose of surf twang in the mix, and it has that tin can sound you'd expect of true rock n' roll but with a bass presence which will almost certainly get the crowd shimmying and a-shaking. After some limited singles and whatnot, this album is the chance to get the full Razerbills experience - a chance not to be passed up.
